Chapter 10 - ^ Ch 10: Golden Ambrosia'

It was late in the morning and the sound of birds chirping could be heard, Azure, who had been preparing for today for a long time, had been awake till late last night,

'Why are the birds chirping so early??' Azure thought,

A cheerful yet sarcastic voice replied, "If you ask me~ then the answer would be that~ the birds aren't early.. You are late~" it was Arzatious.

Azure woke up from his bed, "Shit I'm lat-" but as he looked outside it wasn't late, in fact it was hardly even morning.

"Haha~ quite the amusement ! don't you think?" Arzatious laughed with joy, while beating his hand on the desk.

Azure said while patting his own head, "Uhh" he continued, "i should've known that it was yet another prank of yours, also goodnight~"

Arzatious said while dismissively flapping both his hands "Nuh, nuh~~ that won't be fun" He continued with a clap, "how about ! we go to the capital early? And maybe enjoy at a restaurant?"

But Azure was already trying his best to catch a sleep, ignoring Arzatious's talks.

Arzatious said with a sigh, "You always get the wrong idea~~" he continued with a grin, "You never had a choice~~ haha~" he flicked his fingers and a dark shadow-hand with some gold sparkles on it, caught Azure and took him off his bed and threw him in the river,

"Now, now~~ this is true amusement, haha~"

Azure thought, 'Fuc-', but the shadow-hand once again picked him from the river and threw him in the air, as if drying him, only to throw him back in the river.

"Haha~~"

Azure said "Ok !! fine, now at least let me get ready"

His condition wasn't really the best because of being thrown in the river, let's just say he looked like a chicken who fell in the river.

Arzatious said while trying his best to control his laugh, "You look like a wet chicken~~", his laughter finally burst out, "haha~ !"

Azure said with sarcasm, "Thanks to your early bird plan~, now my actual plan has been ruined"

Arzatious said while joining both his palms together, "May i ask~ what that was?"

"It was to go~ and buy clothes first ! and then to the court"

"Uh~ such silly reasons, here~" Arzatious flicked his finger and a royal-looking black coat with gold patterns was in his hand.

"Is there even anything that you can't do?" Azure said with irritation.

Arzatious replied with a cheerful smile, "I can't be a boring person, an idiot and much more~"

"..." Azure silently took the coat from Arzatious, "Thanks, now i don't need to take a bath"

After a while, Azure came back and looked at the mirror in the house, "Uhh, hopefully it will look good on me.."

From childhood, the only people Azure saw were the soul, Arzatious and his mother, not to mention all of them were.. One of the most gorgeous humans of their time, so it was only normal that Azure didn't have much confidence in his looks.

"You look fabulous in this coat !, guess i shall dress similarly too" Arzatious flicked his fingers and his clothes changed in an instant, he wore a similar royal-looking coat too.

"Uh~ a little thing i forgot" he flicked his fingers once again and the chirping of birds stopped,

Arzatious said, "Shall we go then?"

"Yes, ofcourse~" Azure said in an annoyed voice.

Arzatious flicked his fingers and both of them teleported near a restaurant, no one noticed them teleporting out of nowhere because of Arzatious high-level teleportation spell.

'Golden Ambrosia?' Azure thought after he saw the name of the restaurant.

Arzatious stretched his arms above his head with a carefree grin. "Ah~ the Golden Ambrosia! A fine establishment for the high and mighty of this city~ Let's see if their food matches their reputation, shall we?"

Azure glanced at him skeptically, his annoyance still lingering. "Do you even need to eat?"

Arzatious placed a hand over his heart with mock hurt. "Such a cruel question, my dear Azure! I may not need food, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy it~ Food is one of life's little amusements, after all. And this place is said to serve the best ambrosial pies in the capital! Can't miss out on that~"

With a sigh, Azure followed him into the restaurant. The interior was stunning, a blend of opulent gold trims, crystalline chandeliers, and polished wooden furniture that radiated wealth. Nobles dined at tables covered in fine linens, their laughter mingling with the soft music playing in the background.

A sharply dressed host approached them, his eyes momentarily widening at their attire. "Welcome to the Golden Ambrosia, esteemed guests. May I ask if you have a reservation?"

Arzatious smiled brightly, the air around him exuding an effortless charm. "Ah, my dear friend, does one need a reservation when they bring such grandeur with them?" He gestured to Azure, who fidgeted under the host's gaze.

The host blinked, momentarily caught off guard by the charisma oozing from Arzatious. "Of course, sir. Allow me to lead you to one of our finest tables."

As they were escorted to a corner table with an excellent view of the restaurant, Azure muttered under his breath, "Do you always have to do that?"

"Do what, dear~?" Arzatious asked with a playful tilt of his head.

"Talk like… that. Like the world's your stage, and everyone else is just part of the audience."

Arzatious let out a delighted laugh. "But isn't that the truth? Life is a performance, Azure~ And I intend to enjoy every act."

They settled into their seats, and a server brought menus bound in gold trim. As Azure glanced over the options, Arzatious didn't even bother looking. "I'll have your finest ambrosial pie and a bottle of your most exquisite wine~ As for my companion, he's young, so something that builds strength and… patience."

Azure gave him a glare. "I can order for myself, thank you."

The server bowed slightly, sensing the tension but maintaining professionalism. "Very well, sir. What will you have?"

"I'll just take the grilled venison and water, thanks," Azure said, ignoring Arzatious's amused look.

As the server departed, Arzatious leaned back, his golden eyes glinting mischievously. "Venison and water? How boring~ You really are in need of some excitement, Azure."

"Not everyone needs constant theatrics to get through the day," Azure shot back. "Some of us just want to get things done."

Arzatious placed a hand over his heart again, feigning deep sorrow. "You wound me, truly~ But no matter. You'll learn to appreciate the spice of life, eventually."

A waiter served them their order, the two then began to start eating,

Azure had practiced etiquette for a long time and so he had no issues with it while on the other hand… Arzatious… let's just say that he is built perfectly.

While Arzatious was having his food, he saw someone outside, a familiar scent….
