Ye Shen was on high alert when they were getting closer. To his surprise, the inhabitants of this blue planet were also human just like him. It made him somewhat relieved since he didn't need to worry about fighting aliens or monsters in his condition.
However, Ye Shen didn't let his guard down. He grabbed a piece of wood to his side, brandishing it toward the crowd.
"Stay back!" Ye Shen warned.
The folks were confused. They didn't know what language the man was speaking. But they understand Ye Shen's reaction. They would do the same if they were in his position.
"Should we bring him to the precinct?"
"Nah, what if this man is one of those haughty uptown folks? The cops would arrest us instead."
"What should we do then? We can't just leave this man rotting in my trash bin, no?"
The haggard looking man with a hoodie sweater scratched his beard. It was such a conundrum for this poor community to have a total stranger crash landed on the block. If he ought to die in this bin, the whole community would be in trouble. Worst, they might be charged with murder instead.
"Right. Let's get this man out. And see what we can do."
The two men scooped Ye Shen out, notwithstanding his complaint whilst in pain. Ye Shen finally calmed down when he understood that they meant no harm. He wanted to just walk away from the crowd and heal himself. Alas, he still needed immediate medical attention before the internal bleeding flooded his lungs.
A few moments later, an old man wearing a white lab coat arrived at the scene. The clacking sounds of his cane whilst he walked made the folks parted to either side, giving him a space to walk.
"Oh! You are right on time, Doctor Wang!" Said the man with a hoodie sweater.
"Maurice." The doctor greeted modestly. His wrinkly yet stern face shone by the lamp. "What happened here?"
"It's him, doc." Maurice stepped aside, pointing at the badly wounded man.
In just a glimpse of the x-ray lense that augmented into his left eye, Doctor Wang briefly scanned Ye Shen's body.
"Put him on a stretcher or something flat and long enough to fit him on. Let's bring him to my clinic."
"Got it, doc!" Maurice said.
Within ten minutes or so, Ye Shen was already strapped onto a makeshift stretcher made out of planks and sticks.
Ye Shen groaned once again, he kept his eyes shut for another ten minutes due to the near unbearable pain and found himself in a bed of a small yet tidy clinic.
"Do you need anything else, doc?" Maurice asked on behalf of the community.
"No." Doctor Wang replied curtly. "Me and my MedBots are more than enough to handle a man."
"I see. If you need anything, please call us!"
Doctor Wang clicked his tongue, slightly annoyed. "I know, I know. Now, please leave me alone. I need to work."
Once he turned his back, the door was closed automatically, followed by a distinct sliding noise of a hydraulic mechanism.
Wasting no time, the doctor put his glasses on, he then called the two MedBots to help him diagnose his patient. Soon, two basketball-sized bots awakened from their standby mode in their Nest, hovering around the bed upon call.
After a few commands that he input via brain waves, the MedBots deployed their appendages and began to tear Ye Shen's robe to reveal the wounded area.
"Color me surprised…" Doctor Wang raised an eyebrow upon seeing Ye Shen's well-built body. As a physician in the 22nd century, finding an organic human being without any body modification was very rare.
"02, report." Doctor Wang ordered the MedBot.
Afterward, the floating robot ball did a deep scan through Ye Shen's body. "Multiple internal injuries detected. Two pairs of broken ribs, punctured lungs, broken femur, fractured spinal cord. Survivability; 5%."
"Hmm, as long as it's not absolute zero, then we still have a chance." Doctor Wang was talking to himself.
"02, Administer concentrations of 3% Suprane and increase the concentration by 0,5% for every breath." Doctor Wang said calmly.
"04, prepare the OR."
"Yes, doctor."
The other floating robot ball swiftly glided away towards the room in the corner. Meanwhile, Doctor Wang was busy wearing the scrubs, face mask, and a pair of blue rubber gloves.
Ye Shen could feel his consciousness was ebbing away on every breath. He couldn't possibly fight the drowsiness and fell asleep before he could ask the doctor what he was going to do with his body.

After what seemed like an eternity, Ye Shen finally opened his eyes when the sound of medical instruments beeping in his ears. The cold morning air filled his lungs as he took a deep breath.
When Ye Shen had regained his eyesight, he was puzzled by the series of robotic monologues that were being played in his mind along with the interfaces that appeared before his eyes.

Ye Shen almost jumped out of his bed, and screamed out loud. "What kind of sorcery is this!?"
Startled by the sudden fuss, Doctor Wang rushed into Ye Shen's nursery room.
"Oh, you are awake, at last."
Ye Shen stared daggers at the old man in white lab coat. He still remembered that face from the night he just fell from the sky.
Thus, Ye Shen launched a barrage of questions at the doctor.
"Wh-what have you done to my body? What are these characters in front of my eyes? And these voices too?!"
Instead of answering Ye Shen's questions, Doctor Wang pulled a chair by the bed. "First thing first, calm down, and take a deep breath. You're as pale as a dead fish right now."
Ye Shen did just so. After regulating his breathing, he realized that what he was doing was very rude toward the old man that saved his life.
"I'm sorry. I just…"
"It's okay." Doctor Wang took off his glasses, rubbing the lenses with a microfibre cloth and then put it back on. "Now, where should we start first?"
