Chapter 2 - The Life of The Infallible Monarch

[Congratulations, Host! As you have completed your final system mission of establishing an Empire and having at least ¾ of the continent recognize your sovereignty, you are now eligible to acquire your final reward! Please receive it in the System Mail!]

[Congratulations! After 35 years of living in this world, you have acquired the title/s; Naturalized Otherworlder, World Traveler, and Native!]

[The previous title "Otherworlder" is now negated by the title "Naturalized Otherworlder".]

"Hmm? Finally!" Placing down his phone that he was previously looking at intently, The Great Emperor Reynald excitedly gasped as his dark brown eyes looked fervidly at the notifications that were flooding his system menu. It has been years since he was given the final mission, and after ten years of being the Emperor, he had finally accomplished it. He even had to come up with an imperial name for his lineage to inherit.

Emperor Reynald Augustus Morial Salvenus-Hastur de Castillo-Ebrahim. It was only a royal name that he had decided to take on when he had established the Empire of Asturas ten years ago on this very day. But the truth is that his name isn't really truly that fancy. His true identity is Reynald Castillo Ebrahim, just a simple orphaned boy from a world called Terra.

What happened to him was an unusual type of isekai, something that even he, as someone who often hears of such things, did not encounter in his fifteen years of living there. At that time, he was just entering a dense array of trees behind his orphanage's backyard when, all of a sudden, he just appeared in this world. Fortunately for him, he was accompanied by the system which helped him weather out the basic knowledge requirement on staying here such as language proficiency, basic world knowledge, maps, and so on.

For the first three years of his life here, he continuously finished system missions and tasks that were given in the city taverns which gave him enough power to defend against most of the powerful foes that would assail his life in the following years. Powers and items such as the Otherworldly Phone, Absolute Shapeshifting, Tier 8 Magus knowledge and prowess, Assess, Spatial Storage, and Master Spearman are just some of the myriad powers that was rewarded to him by the system for his efforts. With his prowess even recognized by the ruler of the Kingdom of Eserliche that stood before the wars, he even became a noble and even had his own territory to manage as Earl of Castille!

After those three years, the age of turmoil arrived which made various states turn greedier than ever, vying for supremacy whilst supporting one of the Nine Princes. As for him, he avoided supporting the Eserlichean Princes and instead supported his friend, Genarion Salvenus Hastur, in uniting the old regime of the forgotten Empire of Asturas 1000 years ago.

What gave him the idea to do that at that time was when he had used his skill [Assess] to find out if the simple commoner that he had found on his territory can become a militia to defend his territory. This skill of his lets him view a person's details in a game-like format. This skill also lets him view a person's prowess and talent using a letter-grading system which showed Genarion's prowess in leadership and righteousness as S-rank, the highest one can be. This made him curious, so he looked at his history and there showed his status as the Last Descendant of the House of Hastur.

It was also when he discovered Genarion's identity did the last mission sent by the system appeared.

The House of Hastur was the Imperial House that governed the Ancient Empire of Asturas. As for now, little to no discovered records pertains to the exact territorial area that the old empire had, and the only surviving entity that existed before Asturas' fall was the Holy State of Khal that resides on the far east of Telhaven. Before, he wanted to retrieve some records that were stored within the Grand Khalian Cathedral to at least form the history that would be the basis of his new empire's existence, but when he established the Empire ten years ago, the Holy State strangely turned hostile against him, which is why he couldn't do what he wished.

Truly, almost the entirety of his life here on Telhaven only revolved around Genarion and his identity as the Last Descendant, the identity that almost ruined all of his efforts in the end. Still, he did not regret helping that great of a man, who viewed the people as first before himself and prioritized the well-being of his soldiers than any advantages that would've presented itself. Even as he became the Emperor, Genarion's advocacies and principle is something he still strives to meet to this day.

Looking back, Reynald was overwhelmed, thinking of the experiences that he had faced being here in this world. Now, this world has more meaning to him than any of the bitter life that he had endured in his time on his real world. The world where the Telhaven Continent resides is his real world now.

Opening the system mail, Reynald was then greeted by the familiar blue panel that he had been greeted with in his first time here on Telhaven. Amidst the greyed messages that he had opened throughout the years, he telepathically clicked the new mail that was shining with a white borderline, indicating for him to click it. When he did, he was greeted with a message;

[Congratulations, Host! Throughout the years that you have toiled to survive in this cruel world, you have persevered and fought valiantly from killing a wild boar to defeating a 10,000-man army to safeguard your Empire from foreign powers!]

Reading this, Reynald couldn't help but chuckle and think, "I did suffer quite a lot because of the challenges you sent to me. But I can't complain." He then continued to read the message within the mail.

[Truly, you deserve the greatest of praises! For this, you are rewarded with all of the prices that are rightfully yours, please claim this mail to get them all!]

Inhaling deeply, Reynald slowly did what he had been doing for years and thought, "Claim!"
