Chapter 4 - Titles

Titles are something that defines a person's existence in this world. It could either give them strength or drag them down to the underworld. For 35 years, the only title he had was [Otherworlder] which turned every spirit in this world against him, as if they're trying to kick him out. As previously mentioned by the notification of the system, that title was now negated and was replaced by [Naturalized Otherworlder] coupled with a lot more titles.

[Naturalized Otherworlder: Allows the resident of another world live inside another world as one with the world.]

[World Traveler: Gives the person who possess the title ability to travel worlds whilst not being affected of the minor laws that the world has.]

[Native: A person with this title is considered a native of these worlds; Terra, Avenidia.]

[Emperor: A person with this title is considered a true master of their subjects, and a master species of their race! The title gives abilities such as Imperial Authority, Subdue, Vassalize, Emperor's Cry, Summon Imperial Guards, Imperial Assignation.]

[Respect of World: The World respects the holder! The entities of this world now hold instinctive respect for the title holder.]

Reynald's mouth gaped wide open as he looked at the following titles. Every single one of them are just insanely overpowered! Just the Emperor and Respect of World title alone makes him almost untouchable in this world! Before, because of the "Otherworlder" title that he had, he faced numerous challenges whenever passing through forests and mountains being assaulted by fairies and wyverns even. He can't even use a mount because the horses would go wild whenever he hops onto them. Now that he had the Respect of World title, he can finally move freely in this world!

And don't even get him started with the [Emperor] title! The perks that that title gives him already makes him an overlord! If he wanted to, he can definitely enslave humanity!

As for the [World Traveler] title, he has no use for it for now because he doesn't even know where other worlds are. The only worlds in his stash right now are Terra and this world that seems to be called "Avenidia."

Now, looking at the remaining two rewards, the Imperial-Rank Deity, and the declaration of Asturas being a Transcendent Empire seems to be rewards that are centralized for Asturas. There doesn't seem to be a description for the former except for the line "It shall be written in the annals of the World's own history", so Reynald was entirely clueless about what it does. The Imperial-Rank Deity personalized being, on the other hand, had ample enough description for him to understand the gist of it, and he couldn't help but be dumbfounded about it.

[Imperial-Rank Deity: a personalized being for Asturas. This is a life-like statue of the forgotten Asturian Deity Amanael that contains a part of the deity's spirit. Installing this statue inside the Imperial Territory will give the Empire the following perk blessings; Increased overall training speed, individual citizen's power, intelligence, health improvement, mental fortitude, citizen potential and building structure defense. The Empire and vassals that worships the deity would also have a dome of protection for their territories and a blessing from Amanael. If there is a Church that is established in the deity's authority, the Empire can produce clerics and priests for the religion. The greater amount of people that worships in the presence of the statue, the greater the blessings that the statue can unleash.]

"There really are true deities in this world?" Reynald gasped incredulously as he looked at the bonuses and blessings that the statue alone could provide, but he was more shocked to see that this statue has the spirit of a deity, which he thought was only made up by the people to have an explanation for the world's inception. There was the Holy State of Khal and the kingdoms that relied on Khalian Faith to establish their rule, but he hadn't seen such believers that uses their deity's authority in battle. He had seen the priests of Khal in battles. He can easily determine that their "Divine" Spells are but manifestations of natural energy, and not divinely bestowed. Still, he cannot fully determine without knowing.

If he remembered correctly, the name of the deity they were worshipping is Espherel, the deity of hope and life. She was said to be the origin of humanity and is still guiding her children to this day.

But, if they are real, why would she provoke her people to wage a meaningless war? It couldn't be just because of an Empire's existence, right?

"No use in mulling overly on this matter." Reynald shook his head to dismiss his thoughts before standing up. Swiftly, he turned from being a euphoric man into that of a more dignified and poised man, befitting of his status as a monarch. With the title [Emperor] also being in effect, his aura became much more powerful and majestic as compared to before.

Wearing a white robe— gilded with intricate designs of laurels and other symbols of the Asturian Imperial Regalia— that's form is more similar to a modern trench coat over his long purple silk gown that was tied to his waist with a leather belt, he walked out of the imperial bedroom and prepared to face his subjects as their Emperor.

Outside, six fully equipped imperial guards donned in pristine silver armor stood unmoving as they protect the chamber where their mighty and glorious monarch resides. Despite standing guard for half a day straight, their strong legs did not shake, not even once. That is one of the reasons why they were chosen as the Imperial Guards; because of their strength and tenacity that weathers out any hardships. Still, despite their long stay here, their understanding towards their monarch still isn't any greater than the common official.

No one— not even them— knew what is happening inside the Emperor's Bedroom as no stray sounds travel from the inside to the outside. Just the gate alone, made from solid gold said to have been molded by melting 3 million gold coins from the Emperor's own treasury, contains and prevents any sound that is emitted from any of the side from passing through the other.

They can only surmise that the Emperor is silently overwatching the entire Empire whilst planning for any unforeseeable circumstances within his quarters. The unfathomable and insurmountable Emperor is just like that.

Suddenly, while they were silently and stoically watching for any threats that might appear, the land on which they're standing quaked with great force as the two grand arch-gate of the Imperial Bedroom began to open wide.

Upon laying their eyes on the Emperor, they immediately placed their right fists that were holding spears and knelt, hailing him with strong and loud synchronous voices, "Hail! The Emperor is leaving the Imperial Bedroom! Let the palace be aware!"
