Wow. She is being so generous. Let's make her a little more angry then I will help her.

A few minutes later, Nima came sprinting back inside, her face pale and her arms full of leafy vegetables.

"Big brother!" she panted. "Someone just… just jumped off from our roof!"

Kent froze mid scroll. "Huh? What do you mean 'jumped off the roof'? Who..?"

"I don't know! But it was someone big and scary!" Nima clung to his arm. "What should we do?"

Kent sighed, standing up. "Carp! Seriously? Let's go check."

The two rushed outside to the small yard, the evening sky growing darker by the minute. In the middle of the garden lay a man—the same fire performer from the carnival earlier. He looked unconscious, his clothes singed and tattered.

Kent blinked. "It's that guy from before…"

Nima tugged on his sleeve, eyes wide. "Big brother, what do we do? He's not moving! If he dies, you'll go to jail, and I'll be all alone! Your pretty little sister abandoned!"

Kent's eyebrow twitched. "Stop the drama, Nima! He's not dead. At least… I don't think so."

"Then call an ambulance!" Nima shouted.

Kent scratched his head. "Ambulance? You know we'd have to pay for that, right? Let's call the police instead—they'll pay for it."

Before he could move, the man on the ground twitched.

Kent raised an eyebrow. "Oh, so you're awake now?"

The man stayed still, his eyes cracked open slightly, watching Kent and Nima.

Kent thinking. "You're not unconscious, are you? You're just faking!"

He just poke the man two / three times.

The man didn't respond, but his lips twitched slightly.

Kent leaned closer, making a dramatic face. "Oh, I see how it is! You're not in a coma—you're trying to scam us for money! Hah! Nice try!"

Ding!

"Big brother," Nima asked cautiously, "should we take him inside until the police come?"

Before Kent could answer, the man thought to himself, Yes, yes! Take me inside. Once I'm in, I'll silence you both and hide from those black-coat lunatics.

Ha ha ha…

But Kent shook his head. "No way! We'll keep him here in the yard. If we move him, the police might accuse us of destroying evidence!"

The man mentally cursed Kent.

Nima frowned. "At least give him some water! He looks terrible."

Kent waved her off. "It takes too long to boil water. Just give him some ice—it's basically the same thing."

"ICE?!" Nima stared at him in disbelief.

"Yeah! Go get some from the fridge."

The man groaned weakly, muttering, "These kids are so mean… What happened to kindness?"

Before he could complain more, he coughed loudly—Cough! Cough!—drawing Kent's attention.

"Ugh… cough, cough…"

"Hey! Sir Stay still!" Kent said, pushing him back down.

The man tried to sit up again, but Kent shoved him down firmly.

"Stop moving, sir! You're injured!"

Suddenly, a notification popped up in Kent's vision.

Ding!

"Fire source detected. Host has a Fire Affinity. Do you want to copy the fire ability?"

Kent's eyes widened. "Wait… what? I can copy abilities?"

The system chimed again.

"Host can only copy abilities, for which the host has an affinity. This is an SSS-Rank's side skill."

Kent's jaw dropped. "Damn it, system! Why didn't you tell me earlier?! Copy it now!"

The moment he gave the command, a surge of fiery energy erupted from the performer and entered Kent's body.

The page from earlier the one Kent had received from the system suddenly flared to life.

FWOOSH!

It glowed brightly, sucking in the fire energy. The page transformed into a small flame before merging into Kent's chest.

Kent stumbled back, clutching his heart. "It's… it's like I was missing a spark to light my fire!"

Ding!

"Heart Fire Activated. The Host can no longer be harmed by fire unless it is divine-level fire."

"Ultimate Mission Activated: Gather 7 Types of Fire to Fully Master Heart Fire."

Note: Kent didn't see the ultimate mission.

Kent barely had time to process the notifications when the man suddenly lunged forward, gathering fire in his palm.

"You brat!" he roared. "I'll burn you to ashes!" He lost his temper. He needs to hide soon.

The man pressed his flaming hand against Kent's stomach.

WHOOSH!

Nothing happened.

Kent blinked. "Uh… what are you doing?"

The man's eyes bulged. "WHAT?!"

Nima screamed, "Get away from my brother!"

The man tried again, pouring all his fire into Kent, but the flames simply fizzled out.

Kent yawned. "Are you done?"

WHAM!

Kent punched the man's head, slamming him into the ground.

After a few more punches, Kent said you want to rob us of money. You Thief. I will teach you a lesson.

The man Jack and Kent are both on the same level. Kent caught Jack off guard. That is why he was able to beat him so easily.

The man begged for mercy. "I don't want your money! I'll give you mine! Just let me go!"

Kent grinned. "Now we're talking!"

The man handed over a crumpled stack of cash before fleeing into the night.

Kent says goodbye to jack. Say please visit again to give us some extra money.

Kent thinks this guy is very weak. Why the hell did he try to rob us when he is so weak?

As silence settled, Nima crossed her arms. "Kent, stay away from awakened people next time. You'd be dead if it weren't for me!"

Kent laughed. What! How did you save me?

💢Nima says I stopped him from burning you.

"Alright, grandma, I'll be careful."

Patting her cheek, he whispered, "I'll tell you a secret. I'm awakened too."

Nima raised an eyebrow. "Oh, really? Then turn the vegetables in the yard into meat."

Kent facepalmed. "Let's just go inside, make dinner and then go to bed. I have eggs to sell tomorrow."
