Chapter 27: The Investigation
Victor's words hung in the air, and I could feel the weight of the traitor's presence bearing down on us. I knew that we had to act quickly to uncover the identity of the traitor.
"I'll start asking questions," Victor said, his eyes narrowing as he thought. "But I need you to be careful, Emily. If the traitor suspects that we're onto them, they'll stop at nothing to silence us."
