...BAMMM!...
The door of his room is being bashed repeatedly.
...BAMMM!!...
Getting louder and louder each time after every strike.
...BAMMM!!!...
Whoever it is that is forcing its way inside of his room, that person didn't even bother to say what its reason is.
All that he could hear from outside of his room was the voice of his parents asking for that person to stop bashing the door.
"Please stop, you're just hurting yourself."
The voice of his younger brother asking for the reason why that person and its companions had come into their house.
"If you don't tell us who you are, I'm calling the authorities!"
And the voice of a man calling the name Yhuna.
"Calm yourself, Yhuna."
Whoever they are, whatever they want, he has decided that he would stay inside his room and never open the door to let anyone in.
It's not that he hates his family, nor is he afraid of the unknown group of individuals who came looking for him.
What he hates are the nightmares he sees every night as he sleeps.
What he is afraid of is seeing his family or, rather, that his nightmare would come true if he saw his family.
A nightmare where he is nothing but a monster who took the life of his family and ate them.
That's why he locks himself inside his room and keeps the lights on so that his nightmares won't haunt him as long as he's awake, as long as he never sees his family, and as long as the door of his room remains closed.
...BAMMM!!!...
But as if fate is telling him to stop running away and face his fear, the door of his room violently swings open, revealing the person who keeps on bashing to force her way in.
It was a young girl, barely older than his 16-year-old younger brother. Her right arm and shoulder have been hurt from repeatedly bashing the door, her rough breathing shows her tiredness, the pained expression on her face shows how much she is hurting from her injury, and the look in her eyes shows not only hatred and resentment but something else.
Something that he's also familiar with.
The same look that he would see every time he would look at himself in the mirror.
The look of someone who's being haunted by the same nightmare every time they would close their eyes to sleep.
He stands from where he's sitting in the corner of the room to approach the girl. But as he reached the middle of his room, he saw a glimpse of his family outside.
He slowly steps back, trying to look away from his family so that he won't remember his nightmare.
But as he tries to run away from his fear, the girl in front of him screams in anger.
"It's all your fault!"
With those words, the girl dashed towards him and landed a punch straight to his face with her left hand.
That punch has enough strength to make him stumble on the floor as the girl jumps on top of him to continue throwing her punches with only her left hand while screaming her resentments.
"How dare you hide here like a coward!...
...Like you're an innocent victim!...
...Like nothing bad ever happened!..
...It's all your fault why they are all gone!...
...It's all your fault why they lose themselves!...
...It's all your fault."
The girl keeps on beating him as he tries to defend himself without fighting back.
Because how could he fight back when the girl on top of him and beating him with whatever was left of her strength in crying tears?
Because even though he doesn't understand the reason behind her resentments, he can comprehend at least one thing.
That the girl is just looking for someone else to blame for all her resentments which she knows are because of her and that everything is her fault.
