Her Greatsword, which is her only weapon, holds the power of the monster she cursed.
The Avatar that her consciousness inhabits is a victim of the monster she hates, a person who had been infected by the monster that she will become in the future that she feared.

Yhuna raises her Greatsword, preparing to intercept the incoming Rank A Nightmare, a 3-meter class humanoid monster clad with bizarre metallic armor.
The air around Yhuna started cracking with the wave of lightning discharge that was released from her Greatsword.
The blackened ground, along with the debris of all the ruined structures around Yhuna, shattered at each wave of lightning discharge as she prepared all the accumulated power within her Greatsword for one single strike.
The power that she has with her current strength is enough to cause wide destruction to her surroundings, yet Yhuna is not confident that it would be enough to take down the Rank A Nightmare charging towards her.
Everything was at stake on the single strike of her Greatsword.
The life of her Captain, Vise Captain, all of her comrades fighting to hold the army of Infected Nightmares controlled by one Mutated Rank A Nightmare, and the life of her best friend fighting alone just so they can separate one 2-meter class Unique Infected Nightmare.
Everything depends on one single strategy.
To separate the Mutated Rank A Nightmare from its Army of Infected Nightmares and from the one Unique Infected Nightmare so that Yhuna can defeat it all by herself.
But Yhuna wasn't confident that she could win on her own.
Yhuna's Avatar is an Infected Nightmare. Her Armor is made from the materials of a Mutated Rank B Nightmare. Her Greatsword hold the power of the monster that Yhuna would become in the near future.
The power to continue to accumulate and store energy at every strike of her Greatsword.
The power she's betting everything on.

With the voice of the RIADS ONLINE Avatar confirming her Avatar's status, Yhuna releases the full power of her Link Force.
"Link Force Release!"
Yhuna's Greatsword strikes the Rank A Nightmare and stops its charge.
The lightning discharge that was released from the power of her Greatsword scorched everything around her surroundings, the blackened ground, the ruined debris, and even the Rank A Nightmare.
Yet Yhuna failed to cut down the Rank A Nightmare,
...ROOAAARRRRR!!!...
The Rank A Nightmare grabbed Yhuna with both of its arms and slammed her into the ground.
Yhuna felt the intense pain of getting slammed repeatedly on the ground and getting tossed hundreds of meters toward the ruined buildings.
...The fight isn't over yet...
...I can still move my Avatar...
....I can still raise my weapon...
...Everyone is relying on me to defeat this Nightmare...
...To win this fight!...
Yhuna keeps on saying those words to herself as she endures the pain of her wounded Avatar and tries to get back on her feet.
But as she stands firm on the ground, holds her Greatsword with both of her hands and takes her stance, another message comes from the RAIDS ONLINE Avatar.

[Warning!: Unique Infected Nightmare is approaching fast towards your location.]
Yhuna's best friend, Valerie, lost the fight against the Unique Infected Nightmare, which resulted in their battle strategy inevitably failing.
It's not that Valerie is weak. In fact, she's the strongest among all the Soldiers, even compared to Yhuna. It's just that the Unique Infected Nightmare is strong, even stronger than the Mutated Rank A Nightmare that Yhuna is fighting.
In just a few minutes, the Unique Infected Nightmare arrived at Yhuna's location.
With a much stronger Nightmare fighting against her, Yhuna was sure to be defeated.
Yhuna tried to stand her ground and fight back but her Greatsword slowly shattered to pieces with each of her strikes. Her Armor was torn apart, unable to endure the attacks from both Nightmares. Then her Avatar was defeated, forcing her consciousness back to her real body.
Back to the present day, 22 years behind the future where she and her comrades are fighting to defeat and capture the monsters they called Nightmares.

Yhuna wakes up with her consciousness back to her real body.
The restraints from the Virtual Reality (VR) Gear where she's lying down were released as she stands.
She remembers the pain that she has felt from the injuries of her Avatar, but Yhuna's real body doesn't feel any trauma thanks to the Virtual Reality Suit that she's wearing.
Yhuna's real body is safe but her condition is not what she's worried about.
As soon as Yhuna gets up from her VR Gear, she tries to run towards the other room where her comrades are. But before she could open the door, Valerie embraced her from behind and stopped her from going out of their room.
"Let go of me, Valerie!"
"Please stop, Yhuna. You're only going to hurt yourself even more."
"I need to see them..."
Yhuna's tears begin to stain the floor as she looks down, unable to bear the weight of her defeat and failure.
"It's not your fault. It's actually my fault..."
"No! You and everyone have given me enough time! But I still failed to defeat that Nightmare!... Please let go of me, Valerie... I need to know... how many did we lose..."
