Chapter 16 - Her wolf is dead?

He let out an animalistic growl when he realized that something must have happened to his mate.

Markkus dashed out of the cabin with the earring locked tightly in his fist. To Markkus, he believed that the intruder must have tried to do something to Evelyn, but his cousin and his friends died in the process of saving her.

Markkus believed that Evelyn was a victim. And he would leave no stone unturned to search for her.

"Markkus! We found something!"

Ryker said when Markkus got closer to the group.

"What did you find?" He sounded impatient, his voice tight with anxiety.

Ryker pointed at the figure lying on the field, "It's Evelyn. She's not breathing."

Markkus's eyes widened in shock as he rushed towards the figure, his heart racing with fear. He dropped to his knees beside Evelyn, gently turning her over onto her back.

His heart sank when her deadly pale face came into view. "E– Eve?"
