'Holy smokes… hell… I remember this bloody demon King. Dang…' Arvian's mind raced.

'Okay… okay, stay calm. You have to go through with it… the torture will be hellish… but you still have one day.' He took a deep breath, trying to steady himself.

Dareth started speaking.

"Welcome, students. I am Dareth, your theoretical professor. I will be teaching you about the upcoming war."

The entire class stiffened.

Arvian trying to calm himself.

Dareth's voice was steady as he continued.

"So why the war? Why have the Velnoctenes decided to rise against the world? To understand that, we must first look at history.

Long ago, many years back, there existed a bloodline considered the weakest and most despised—Velnoctenes. They were seen as cursed people, outcasts of society. But one day, everything changed.

The founder of the bloodline discovered a hidden power within them, known as the Nyxian Form. Once this knowledge spread, more and more Velnoctenes began awakening their abilities. But with great power came greed. Manipulated by their founder, they grew selfish and ruthless, testing their newfound strength on ordinary people. Some even took their power into other nations, wreaking havoc.

However, not all Velnoctenes followed this path. Some who awakened their abilities chose morality over destruction, refusing to be consumed by greed.

But for the rest, their hunger for power escalated into war—The World vs. Velnoctenes.

Dareth continued, his voice unwavering.

"But the world did not stop at just winning the war. The nations, united against the Velnoctenes, sought not only victory but complete eradication. They slaughtered not only the warriors but also the innocent—children who had no part in the war, families who had never lifted a weapon. The cruelty did not stop. Some Velnoctenes tried to escape, hoping to live peacefully far from the conflict, unaware of the world's hatred toward them. But they, too, were hunted down and killed.

However, not all of them perished. Seven survivors lived through the massacre. And now, they seek revenge for their fallen families. They are the ones preparing for war."

Arvian narrowed his eyes.

'Wow... manipulating the students... making it seem like the Velnoctenes were only victims. But what else can I expect? Dareth isn't wrong actually, i know what he will do next...huh'

Suddenly, a student stood up.

A male student with short brown hair and sharp eyes stood up, his expression filled with uncertainty.

"Professor... if the Velnoctenes were really that dangerous, then why did the world have to go so far? Killing innocent people? That doesn't sound like justice…"

A few students nodded in agreement, while others remained silent, taking in the weight of the history being told.

Dareth turned his gaze to the student, his face unreadable. "That is a question many have asked over the years. The truth is, war changes people. Fear turns into hatred, and hatred turns into destruction. The world feared that if even a few Velnoctenes survived, their power would rise again, and history would repeat itself. The nations believed they had no choice but to ensure the bloodline was completely wiped out."

There was a tense silence after he spoke.

"But now," Dareth continued, his tone sharper, "the ones who survived have returned. And they are not seeking peace. They want revenge. They have spent years in the shadows, growing stronger, preparing for another war. And this time, they will not stop until the world burns."

His words caused some students to wince, while others looked at him uneasily.

"Now that we've covered the history," Dareth continued, "we'll move on to how the Velnoctenes fight and the true nature of their power—Nyxian form."

A student from the front raised his hand. "Professor, how can we even know how they fight? They've been hidden for so long."

Dareth gave a small nod. "Good question. The people who fought in the Great War documented everything in a war book. Those records are still used today to study their tactics and weaknesses."

He paused, his voice darkening. "As for their power—Nyxian form—it's unlike anything we've seen. This power constantly burns within them. It keeps them alive, but it also fuels an uncontrollable rage. It's like an eternal flame that turns into pure hatred. The survivors now are more dangerous than ever."

"The only way to defeat them is to control their Nyxian form," Dareth said, his voice heavy. "But that is nearly impossible. Those who fight against them must endure without hesitation, without a single moment of weakness. Only the strongest survive."

Dareth had been lying, but he couldn't reveal the truth. He was one of the seven survivors, and his true purpose was far more complicated than seeking revenge. The real reason for their actions was something the world didn't know—an underlying motive that remained hidden. He purposely spread misinformation, keeping the true intentions concealed for reasons only known to him and others survivors.

A student spoke up. "Professor, doesn't that mean the world is facing a huge threat? It's like a do-or-die situation, no matter how right or wrong it is. We have no choice but to fight."

Dareth gave a slow, grim nod. "Exactly. And that's why you all are here—to prepare for what's coming. Whether you're ready or not, the war will be upon us soon. The survival of the world depends on it."

The day passed with the students discussing the war and other topics.

Arvian carefully slipped out of the house before Jaxyn and Dareth noticed, at nearly midnight. As he approached the academy, he felt a surge of fear.

Once inside the academy grounds, he checked the location of Zaryx from the system.....
