[Unsealing Phrase]
"By the will of forgotten darkness, I break the chains of fate. Rise once more, Zaryx, Bloody Demon King!"
————
'Hell....I am scared.....'
Arvian's hands trembled as he stepped into the centre of the academy grounds. His breath was uneven, his body shivering—not from the cold, but from fear.
The full moon hung high in the sky, its silver light reflecting off the academy walls, casting long shadows on the ground. The eerie silence made his heartbeat sound louder in his own ears.
With hesitant hands, he raised the key just an inch above the ground. His fingers felt weak, barely able to hold it steady.
Taking a deep breath, he moved the key as if unlocking something invisible and whispered in a shaky voice, "By the will of forgotten darkness, I break the chains of fate. Rise once more, Zaryx, Bloody Demon King!"
All of a sudden, the ground trembled, and the red-black aura surged on the ground; the whole ground was covered in red-black energy.
And then, at one specific point, the energy gathered and resembled like it was shaping into something.
Arvian felt suffocated.
The energy twisted and expanded, shaping into a towering black humanoid figure. Its entire body was covered in swirling, infinite lines that spun endlessly, as if they had no beginning or end.
Its eyes—two glowing red circles—locked onto Arvian, piercing through the night with an unnatural intensity. Then, a chilling screech echoed through the air, a sound like grinding metal mixed with distorted laughter.
Around its clawed hands, the red and black energy pulsed and twisted, condensing into something solid. The air grew heavier as the energy took shape, its form still shifting—but undoubtedly dangerous.
Arvian took a deep breath and shouted, "Fulgur Sphaera!"
A red sphere of crackling lightning formed in his hands, swirling with bright, intricate patterns. He activated it, ready to react if the demon attacked.
But before he could do anything, the figure's hands twisted, shaping a long black sword wrapped in rippling red and black energy.
Then, in an instant—it disappeared.
Arvian's eyes barely had time to widen before—BAM!
The demon reappeared right in front of him, its fist slamming into his stomach with terrifying speed. The force sent him flying through the air.
A hole.
A massive hole tore through his stomach from the impact. Blood sprayed into the night, his body twisting like a broken doll.
Before he could even process the pain, the demon pulled back its arm and threw its sword straight at him.
The blade cut through the air, its energy growing larger as it neared.
Then—SHUNK!
The sword plunged into the hole in Arvian's stomach, stopping his motion in the sky.
He hung there, frozen, his head loosely tilting back, the sword embedded in him like a cruel trophy.
Below, the Bloody Demon King slowly lifted its head, then spread its arms wide.
"RAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!"
A deafening, monstrous roar shook the academy, declaring its return.
The whole city trembled under the roar. People in their homes shot out of bed, startled by the violent sound. Some rushed to their windows, peering out in confusion and fear.
Then, in an instant, the Bloody Demon King vanished.
And everything around them shattered.
Buildings crumbled, windows exploded, and houses were torn apart in seconds. The streets twisted and cracked as if the very ground was fighting back.
The Demon's laughter echoed through the chaos, cruel and loud. He revelled in the destruction, clearly enjoying the carnage. After being trapped for so long, how could he not? Freedom tasted sweeter when chaos followed.
Arvian hung lifeless in the sky, his body still, the sword still lodged in his stomach, energy swirling around it.
Meanwhile, the Bloody Demon King, Zaryx, continued his rampage. After obliterating countless homes, he rose into the sky once again, his roar shaking the very air.
The city had finally woken to the nightmare unfolding. The people realized who was behind the destruction—the Bloody Demon King, Zaryx. Panic erupted in the streets as they scrambled to escape, some screaming in terror, others running in every direction, unsure of where to go.
The entire city seemed to be in chaos.
At the academy, the professors gathered quickly and headed in the demon king.
They stood united, eyes set on Zaryx, their faces grim with determination. The city's survival depended on what they would do next. The final stand was coming.
The Bloody Demon King's laughter echoed through the ruined city.
"Grah grah grahh... Foolish... foolish...," Zaryx taunted, his voice dripping with mockery as he towered over the city.
The professors, despite their fear, charged toward the demon with everything they had. They moved with precision, powerful magic charging in their hands, ready to face the monstrous threat.
But unfortunately, Zaryx was faster.
Before they could even close the distance, he raised one massive clawed hand. Dark energy crackled around him, swirling with intensity. With a single swipe, he unleashed a devastating wave of force that sent the professors crashing back, their spells dissipating into the air before they could even land.
The city watched in horror as the professors struggled to regain their footing, realizing that their combined strength might not be enough against the Demon King. The battle had only just begun, and the odds seemed insurmountable.
"Come...come...come....foolish Humans, I'm hungry...I'm hungry"
Suddenly, from behind the massive Demon King, a figure emerged, walking confidently toward the battlefield. It was a man—his presence unmistakable and full of power.
"Huh, first see who's the real fool," the man sneered with a voice carrying a cold edge. "I wonder who has made you into a dangerous place now, it is not like before. I'm not one to spare you, Zaryx..."
