Chapter 44 - A New Mentor and a 2nd form

I slowly opened my eyes, groggily taking in my surroundings. I was snuggled under Father's wing, just like I always was when we slept. The warm sunlight peeked through the nest, casting a cozy glow over everything.

As I stretched and yawned, Father gently shifted his wing, giving me more space to wake up. I rubbed my eyes, feeling the sleepiness fade away.

"Good morning, little one," Father said, his voice low and rumbling.

I smiled, feeling happy and content. But as I looked up at Father, I noticed someone else standing nearby. A wise-looking dragon with very dark scales and kind eyes was watching me.

"Who's that?" I asked Father, my voice still sleepy.

"This is Throkos," Father replied. "He's a seasoned warrior and a skilled mentor. He's here to help you continue your training."

I looked up at Throkos again, feeling a mix of curiosity and excitement. What would it be like to learn from him? I thought to myself, "Where does Father get so many mentors from?"

Throkos smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I've heard great things about you, Tharros," he said, his voice deep and rumbling. "I'm looking forward to working with you."

I felt a surge of excitement at the prospect of learning from Throkos. Father had always been my mentor, but I knew that Throkos would bring new skills and perspectives to the table.

"What will we be learning?" I asked Throkos, my curiosity getting the better of me.

Throkos chuckled. "We'll be focusing on advanced combat techniques, as well as strategies for navigating complex battlefields," he said. "But first, let's get started with some basic exercises to gauge your current level of skill."

I nodded eagerly, ready to begin my training with Throkos. Little did I know, this was just the beginning of a whole new chapter in my life...

I raised an eyebrow, intrigued by Father's words. "An organization?" I repeated, my curiosity piqued.

Father nodded. "Yes, Throkos claims to be part of a secretive group, one that's been operating in the shadows for centuries. He's reluctant to share more information, but I sense that he's genuine in his intentions."

I looked at Throkos, who was watching us with an unreadable expression. I thought to myself, 'Doesn't Father need to do some background checks or something?' It seemed unusual for Father to trust someone so readily, especially when it came to my training and safety.

I felt Father's wing fold around me, and I looked up at him, sensing a hint of amusement in his expression. Throkos, on the other hand, seemed confident and self-assured as he stepped forward.

"To be fair, I am a very strong and powerful dragon," Throkos declared, his voice dripping with conviction. "It would be very worthwhile for you to have me as your temporary mentor."

I raised an eyebrow, intrigued by Throkos's bold claim. I glanced up at Father, wondering if he would respond to Throkos's assertion. Father's expression remained neutral, but I sensed a hint of curiosity in his eyes.

I looked at Throkos, his confident demeanor sparking a mix of curiosity and skepticism within me. Father's neutral expression didn't give away his thoughts, but I sensed a hint of amusement in his eyes.

"So, Throkos," Father said, his voice measured, "tell me, what makes you think you're the right mentor for Tharros?"

Throkos explains, "I can do healing magic, and I have 11 elements out of 12 elements that are in the world right now!" He smiled proudly, and I was shocked he had 11/12 elements while I had 8/12 elements

My eyes widened in surprise, and I felt a twinge of envy. "Wow, 11 elements?" I repeated, trying to wrap my head around it. I had always thought that having 8 elements was impressive, but 11 was on a whole different level.

Throkik's smile grew even wider, clearly pleased with himself. "Yes, I've spent many years mastering the elements. And with my healing magic, I can help you recover from even the most brutal battles."

Father nodded thoughtfully, his expression unreadable. I could tell he was impressed, but he wasn't showing it. "That's certainly impressive, Throkos," he said. "But can you show us what you're capable of?" Throkos show us his capable, and it is very impressive

Throkos nodded, a confident glint in his eye. With a flick of his claw, he summoned a burst of flame that danced in the air before him. The fire was so intense that it made the air shimmer and distort.

Next, he summoned a whirlwind that lifted me off the ground, holding me suspended in mid-air. I felt a rush of excitement mixed with a touch of fear as I realized the full extent of Throkos's power.

But he wasn't finished yet. With a wave of his claw, he summoned a bolt of lightning that crackled with energy. The air was electric with power, and I could feel the hairs on the back of my neck standing on end.

Finally, Throkos raised his claw, and a warm, golden light began to emanate from it. The light enveloped me, and I felt a surge of healing energy coursing through my veins. Any scrapes or bruises I had were instantly soothed, leaving me feeling refreshed and revitalized.

I stared at Throkos in awe, my mind reeling with the implications of his powers. Father, too, looked impressed, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "You're certainly a formidable dragon, Throkos," he said.

Throkos bowed his head, his expression humble despite the impressive display of power. "Thank you, Father," he said. "I am but a vessel for the elements. I merely channel their power."

Father nodded, his eyes gleaming with interest. "I see," he said. "Well, Throkos, it seems you have indeed proven yourself to be a worthy mentor for Tharros. I entrust him to your care."

I felt a thrill of excitement mixed with a touch of trepidation. What would it be like to train with Throkos? Would I be able to keep up with his level of power and expertise?

Throkos turned to me, a hint of a smile on his lips. "Don't worry, Tharros," he said. "I'll teach you everything I know. Together, we'll unlock your true potential."

I nodded, feeling a sense of determination rise up within me. I was ready to learn, to grow, and to become the strongest dragon I could be.

I smiled proudly and said "i have fire, air, water, earth, light, thunder, tech, ice but I already good at fire and my mother teaching me water and air and light and my father is teaching me ice"

Throkos's eyes widened in surprise, clearly impressed by the number of elements I had already mastered. "That's quite an impressive list, Tharros," he said. "Fire, air, water, earth, light, thunder, tech, and ice... you're already well on your way to becoming a formidable dragon."

He nodded thoughtfully, his expression considering. "I see that your parents have already begun teaching you the basics of several elements. That's excellent. With my guidance, we can build on that foundation and help you develop your skills even further."

Throkos paused, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "I must say, I'm particularly intrigued by your affinity for tech. That's a rare element, indeed. I'd love to see you demonstrate your skills with it."

I spoke exetely "you can teaching me earth and tech and lightning"

Throkos's face lit up with a warm smile. "Excellent choice, Tharros! Earth, tech, and lightning are all fascinating elements, and I'd be delighted to guide you in mastering them."

He nodded thoughtfully, his eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. "Earth magic can be incredibly powerful, allowing you to manipulate the very ground beneath your feet. With tech, we can explore the intricacies of mechanical magic, and I can teach you how to harness its power. And as for lightning... well, that's a force to be reckoned with. I'll show you how to wield its raw energy."

Throkos's voice was filled with excitement, and I could sense his eagerness to begin our training sessions. "Shall we get started, Tharros?" he asked, his eyes gleaming with anticipation, I nodded

Throkos grinned, seeming to radiate energy and enthusiasm. "Excellent! Let's begin with earth magic. I want to show you a technique that will allow you to sense the vibrations of the earth."

He led me to a nearby clearing, where the ground was dry and cracked. Throkos gestured for me to stand beside him, and then he closed his eyes, focusing his attention on the earth beneath our feet.

"Watch closely, Tharros," he said, his voice low and concentrated. "I'm going to show you how to tap into the earth's energy."

As Throkos spoke, his claws began to glow with a soft, pulsing light. He reached out and touched the ground, and suddenly the earth beneath our feet began to hum with energy.

I felt a strange vibration, like the earth was alive and pulsing with power. Throkos opened his eyes, which shone with an inner light, and said, "Now it's your turn, Tharros. Reach out with your senses and feel the energy of the earth."

I nodded, focusing my attention on the ground beneath my feet. I closed my eyes, took a deep breath, and reached out with my senses. At first, I felt nothing, but then I began to pick up on the subtle vibrations of the earth.

The humming grew louder, and I felt the energy of the earth coursing through my veins. I opened my eyes to find Throkos smiling at me, his eyes shining with approval. "Well done, Tharros," he said. "You have a natural talent for earth magic."

Throkos nodded, his expression serious. "Now that you've connected with the earth's energy, let's try something a bit more complex. I want you to try and manipulate the earth itself."

He gestured to a nearby boulder, half-buried in the ground. "Try to lift that rock using only your earth magic," he instructed.

I focused my attention on the boulder, feeling the earth's energy coursing through me. I reached out with my senses, trying to connect with the rock itself. Slowly but surely, I began to feel a strange, tingling sensation in my claws.

With a surge of confidence, I raised my claws, and to my amazement, the boulder began to rise into the air. It hovered there, suspended by my earth magic, and I felt an overwhelming sense of pride and accomplishment.

Throkos's eyes widened in surprise, and he let out a low whistle. "Impressive, Tharros!" he exclaimed. "You're a natural at this. I've never seen a young dragon pick up earth magic so quickly."

He walked over to the boulder, which was still hovering in the air, and examined it carefully. "Your control is impressive, but let's see if you can take it to the next level," he said, a mischievous glint in his eye.

Throkos gestured to a nearby patch of ground. "Try to create a small trench in the earth, just deep enough to hold the boulder," he instructed.

I nodded, focusing my attention on the ground. I reached out with my senses, feeling the earth's energy responding to my will. Slowly but surely, the ground began to shift and tremble, and a small trench opened up, just as Throkos had requested.

I carefully guided the boulder into the trench, feeling a sense of satisfaction as it settled into its new resting place. Throkos nodded his approval, a small smile playing on his lips.

"Well done, Tharros," he said. "You're making excellent progress. Now, let's move on to something a bit more challenging. I want to teach you how to create a localized earthquake."

Throkos's eyes sparkled with excitement as he began to explain the intricacies of seismic magic. I listened intently, eager to learn this new skill and see what kind of power I could unleash.

I decided to fly off the ground first, I spread my wings, feeling the familiar rush of excitement as I lifted off the ground. The wind ruffled my scales as I soared into the air, the sun glinting off my wings. Throkos watched me from the ground, a nod of approval on his face.

"Good, Tharros," he called out. "Now, remember what I taught you about seismic magic. I want you to try and create a small tremor in the earth as you fly."

I nodded, focusing my attention on the earth below me. I reached out with my senses, feeling the familiar hum of the earth's energy. With a burst of concentration, I released a small burst of seismic magic, feeling the earth tremble in response.

The ground below me shuddered and trembled, sending small rocks and pebbles scattering in all directions. Throkos watched with a keen eye, his expression intent.

"Excellent work, Tharros!" he exclaimed. "Your control is impressive. Now, let's try something a bit more complex. I want you to create a series of small tremors, each one slightly larger than the last."

I nodded, focusing my attention on the earth once more. I took a deep breath, feeling the familiar surge of energy as I reached out with my senses. With a steady, controlled motion, I began to create a series of small tremors, each one building in intensity.

The ground shuddered and trembled beneath me, sending small rocks and pebbles flying in all directions. Throkos watched with a keen eye, his expression intent and focused.

As I continued to create the series of tremors, the ground began to shake more violently, and the sound of rumbling earth filled the air. Throkos nodded his approval, his eyes shining with excitement.

"Very good, Tharros!" he exclaimed. "You're really getting the hang of this! Now, let's try to take it up a notch. I want you to create a single, powerful tremor that will shake the entire area."

I took a deep breath, feeling a surge of energy and determination. I focused all my attention on the earth, reaching out with my senses to tap into its raw power. With a mighty roar, I unleashed a massive tremor that shook the ground beneath me.

The earth trembled and convulsed, sending rocks and boulders tumbling down the nearby hills. The sound of rumbling earth was deafening, and I felt the ground shuddering beneath my feet. Throkos watched with a wide grin, clearly impressed by my display of power.

Throkos smiled me proudly and spoke. "The next one is lightning, and let me explain about lightning. Lightning is a near rare element, and the tech is also quite rare but lets forces on a lightning first"

I beamed with pride at Throkos's praise, feeling a sense of accomplishment at having mastered the earth magic. I listened intently as he began to explain the intricacies of lightning magic.

"Lightning is a highly volatile and unpredictable element," Throkos cautioned. "It requires immense control and precision to wield effectively. But with your natural talent and affinity for magic, I have no doubt you'll pick it up quickly."

Throkos paused, his eyes glinting with excitement. "Now, let's get started. To summon lightning, you'll need to tap into the electrical energy that permeates the air. Focus your senses on the atmosphere around you, and reach out with your magic to manipulate the electrical charges."

I nodded eagerly, my mind racing with anticipation. I took a deep breath, feeling the familiar surge of energy as I reached out with my senses. The air around me seemed to crackle with electricity, and I could feel the hairs on my scales standing on end. With a burst of concentration, I summoned a brilliant flash of lightning that illuminated the darkening sky.

Throkos's eyes widened in amazement as the lightning bolt crackled and flashed, illuminating the surrounding landscape. He grinned from ear to ear, clearly impressed by my quick grasp of the magic.

"Excellent work, Tharros!" he exclaimed. "You're a natural with lightning! I've never seen anyone pick it up so quickly."

I beamed with pride, feeling a sense of accomplishment at having mastered another element. Throkos chuckled, his eyes twinkling with amusement.

"Okay, okay, let's not get too carried away," he said, holding up a hand. "We still have a lot of work to do. But I have to say, I love the progress you're making."

Throkos paused, his expression turning serious. "Now, let's move on to the tech element. This one's going to be a bit trickier, but I have faith in you."

Throkos led me to a nearby clearing, where a strange, glowing console stood in the center. The console pulsed with soft, blue light, and intricate circuits and wires snaked across its surface.

"This is a tech portal," Throkos explained, gesturing to the console. "It allows us to tap into the underlying code of the universe, manipulating the very fabric of reality."

I watched, fascinated, as Throkos began to work the console, his claws flying across the surface with incredible speed and precision. The blue light intensified, and the air around us began to distort and ripple.

"Your turn, Tharros," Throkos said, stepping aside. "I want you to try and access the tech portal, using your own magic to interface with the console."

I nodded, feeling a thrill of excitement mixed with a dash of trepidation. I reached out with my senses, focusing my attention on the console. The blue light pulsed brighter, and I felt a strange, tingling sensation as my magic began to interact with the tech portal.

As I continued to focus my attention on the console, the blue light enveloped me, and I felt myself being drawn into the tech portal. The world around me began to distort and blur, replaced by a swirling vortex of code and circuitry.

Throkos's voice echoed in my mind, guiding me through the process. "Remember, Tharros, the key to mastering tech magic is to understand the underlying code. Visualize the circuits and pathways, and use your magic to manipulate them."

I nodded, even though I knew Throkos couldn't see me. I closed my eyes, focusing my mind on the task at hand. The code swirled around me, a dizzying array of 1s and 0s, but as I reached out with my magic, I began to see patterns and pathways that I hadn't noticed before.

With a surge of confidence, I began to manipulate the code, using my magic to rewrite the circuits and pathways. The tech portal responded to my touch, the blue light pulsating with energy as I worked my magic.

As I continued to work my magic, the tech portal began to glow with an intense, pulsating light. The code swirled around me, responding to my every command. I felt a sense of exhilaration and power, knowing that I was tapping into the very fabric of the universe.

Throkos's voice echoed in my mind once more, his tone filled with pride and approval. "Well done, Tharros! You're a natural with tech magic. Now, let's see if you can take it to the next level."

The tech portal surged with energy, and I felt myself being drawn deeper into the code. The world around me dissolved into a kaleidoscope of colors and patterns, and I knew that I was on the verge of something incredible.

Suddenly, the tech portal erupted in a blast of light and energy, and I felt myself being propelled forward into a new and unexplored realm of magic.

As the light faded, I found myself standing in a vast, virtual landscape. The air was filled with swirling clouds of code, and towering spires of circuitry stretched up towards the sky.

Throkos stood beside me, a proud smile on his face. "Welcome to the Nexus," he said. "This is the heart of the tech portal, where the underlying code of the universe is written."

I gazed around in awe, my mind struggling to comprehend the sheer scale and complexity of the Nexus. Throkos chuckled, his eyes glinting with amusement.

"Don't worry, Tharros," he said. "You'll get used to it. For now, let's focus on mastering your tech magic. I have a few more tricks to teach you."

With that, Throkos began to guide me through the Nexus, teaching me how to harness the power of the tech portal and wield it with precision and skill.

Throkos smiled, his eyes glinting with excitement. "Now that you've seen the Nexus, it's time to learn how to harness its power. Let's start with a simple exercise."

He led me to a nearby console, where a complex pattern of code was displayed. "I want you to try and modify this code, using your tech magic to rewrite the underlying circuitry."

I nodded, focusing my attention on the code. I reached out with my senses, feeling the familiar surge of energy as I connected with the tech portal. The code began to glow with a soft, blue light, and I felt myself being drawn into the digital realm.

With a burst of concentration, I began to rewrite the code, using my magic to manipulate the underlying circuitry. The console beeped and whirred, displaying a new pattern of code that reflected my changes.

Throkos nodded his approval, a proud smile on his face. "Excellent work, Tharros! You're a natural with tech magic. Now, let's try something a bit more challenging."

He led me to a nearby simulation chamber, where a complex scenario was displayed on a holographic screen. "I want you to try and hack into this simulation, using your tech magic to manipulate the underlying code."

I nodded, feeling a thrill of excitement mixed with a dash of trepidation. I focused my attention on the simulation, reaching out with my senses to connect with the tech portal. The holographic screen began to glow with a soft, blue light, and I felt myself being drawn into the digital realm.

With a burst of concentration, I began to hack into the simulation, using my magic to manipulate the underlying code. The scenario on the screen began to change, reflecting my modifications.

Throkos watched with a keen eye, his expression intent and focused. "Very good, Tharros," he said. "You're making excellent progress. But remember, the key to mastering tech magic is to stay focused and adaptable."

I nodded, feeling a sense of determination and purpose. I was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, knowing that I had the power of the Nexus at my command.

As I continued to hack into the simulation, I began to feel a sense of exhilaration and power. The code seemed to bend to my will, and I could feel the underlying circuitry humming with energy.

Throkos watched me with a keen eye, his expression a mixture of pride and caution. "Remember, Tharros, with great power comes great responsibility," he said. "Don't get too caught up in the thrill of it all."

I nodded, taking a deep breath to calm myself down. I knew that Throkos was right - I had to stay focused and in control.

As I continued to work on the simulation, I began to notice something strange. The code seemed to be shifting and changing on its own, as if it was adapting to my attempts to hack into it.

I frowned, feeling a sense of unease. This wasn't normal behavior for a simulation. Suddenly, the code seemed to surge and spike, and the simulation went dark.

Throkos's eyes narrowed, his expression serious. "What happened?" he asked.

I shook my head, feeling a sense of confusion. "I don't know," I said. "The code just seemed to... adapt to me."

Throkos's expression turned thoughtful. "I think it's time we took a closer look at the Nexus," he said. "There's something going on here that I don't like."

Throkos led me to a hidden chamber deep within the heart of the Nexus. The walls were lined with ancient, glowing artifacts that pulsed with an otherworldly energy.

"This is the Chamber of the Codekeepers," Throkos said, his voice filled with reverence. "Here, we can access the deepest secrets of the Nexus."

He approached a glowing console at the center of the room and began to enter a complex sequence of codes. The console beeped and whirred, and a holographic display flickered to life.

Throkos studied the display intently, his expression growing increasingly concerned. "It's worse than I thought," he muttered. "The Nexus is being manipulated by an outside force."

I felt a surge of alarm. "What kind of force?" I asked.

Throkos's eyes locked onto mine, filled with a serious intensity. "I'm not entirely sure," he said. "But I think it's connected to the strange occurrences that have been happening throughout the realm."

He paused, collecting his thoughts. "We need to investigate further," he said. "But we'll need to be careful. Whoever or whatever is behind this, they're clearly powerful and ruthless."

I nodded, feeling a sense of determination. I was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead and uncover the truth behind the mysterious force manipulating the Nexus.

Throkos nodded, a determined look on his face. "Let's get to work, Tharros. We'll start by gathering more information about the strange occurrences. I have some contacts in the realm who may be able to provide us with valuable insights."

He led me to a secure communication console, where he began to contact his sources. I watched as he worked, impressed by his skill and efficiency.

After several minutes of communication, Throkos turned to me with a serious expression. "It's worse than I thought," he said. "The strange occurrences are not just random events. They're all connected to a mysterious figure known only as 'The Architect'."

I felt a shiver run down my spine. "The Architect?" I repeated.

Throkos nodded. "Yes. According to my sources, Architect is a powerful being who is manipulating the Nexus for their own purposes. But their true identity and motivations are still unknown."

I frowned, my mind racing with questions. Who was The Architect? What were their goals? And how could we stop them?

Throkos's eyes locked onto mine, filled with a determined intensity. "We'll find out, Tharros," he said. "Together, we'll uncover the truth behind The Architect and put an end to their plans." We went and started to find the architect

Throkos and I set out on our mission to find The Architect, navigating through the vast and complex landscape of the Nexus. We traveled through digital realms, avoiding security systems and rival factions vying for control.

As we journeyed deeper into the Nexus, we encountered whispers and rumors about The Architect's true identity. Some claimed they were a rogue AI, created by the ancient Codekeepers themselves. Others believed they were a powerful sorcerer, wielding dark magic to bend the Nexus to their will.

Throkos and I followed every lead, every hint, every rumor. We infiltrated hidden servers, decrypted encrypted messages, and interviewed shady informants.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, we received a cryptic message that read:

"Meet me at the old clockwork tower. Come alone."

Throkos's eyes locked onto mine. "This could be our chance to finally meet The Architect," he said.

I nodded, my heart pounding with anticipation. "Let's do it."

We made our way to the old clockwork tower, an abandoned relic of a bygone era. As we approached, the air grew thick with an eerie, pulsating energy.

Suddenly, the tower's doors creaked open, inviting us to enter. Throkos and I exchanged a cautious glance and then stepped inside...

As we entered the tower, we were met with an eerie silence. The air was thick with the scent of old machinery and decay. We moved cautiously, our eyes scanning the dimly lit space for any sign of movement.

Suddenly, a figure emerged from the shadows. It was a woman with long, flowing hair and piercing green eyes. She was dressed in a flowing white gown, and her presence seemed to radiate an otherworldly energy.

"Welcome, Throkos and Tharros," she said, her voice like music. "I have been expecting you."

Throkos and I exchanged a wary glance. "Who are you?" Throkos asked, his hand on the hilt of his sword.

The woman smiled, her eyes glinting with amusement. "I am The Architect," she said. "And I have been waiting for you."

I felt a shiver run down my spine as I gazed into The Architect's eyes. There was something unsettling about her, something that made me feel like she could see right through me.

"What do you want from us?" Throkos asked, his voice firm.

The architect's smile grew wider. "I want to show you something," she said. "Something that will change everything."

And with that, she raised her hand, and the room was filled with a blinding light... I question ask, "Who are you, Mrs?"

The architect's smile faltered for a moment, and she seemed taken aback by my question.

"Ah, forgive me," she said, her composure regained. "I am Arianna, The Architect. And you, Tharros, are quite bold to ask."

She paused, studying me with an intensity that made me feel like I was under a microscope.

"I am the creator of this world, the Nexus," she continued. "I have shaped its code, its landscapes, and its inhabitants. And I have done it all with a singular purpose in mind."

Arianna's eyes seemed to bore into my soul as if daring me to ask the next question.

"What purpose?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.

Arianna's smile returned, wider and more enigmatic than before.

"Ah, that would be telling," she said. "But rest assured, Tharros, you will soon understand the true nature of the Nexus and the purpose for which I created it."

Arianna's words hung in the air, leaving me with more questions than answers. Throkos, sensing my unease, placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder.

"We're listening," Throkos said, his voice firm. "Tell us more about this purpose."

Arianna's gaze swept over us as if sizing us up. Then, with a subtle nod, she began to speak.

"The Nexus is more than just a world," she said. "It's a testing ground. A place where I can refine my creations, push the boundaries of what's possible."

Her eyes seemed to gleam with excitement, and I felt a shiver run down my spine.

"What creations?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.

Arianna's smile grew wider. "Ah, that would be the best part," she said. "You see, Tharros, I've been creating a new breed of beings. Beings with the power to shape reality itself."

Throkos's grip on my shoulder tightened. "What kind of beings?" he asked, his voice low and urgent.

Arianna's laughter echoed through the room, sending chills down my spine.

"Beings like you, Tharros," she said. "Beings with the power of the Nexus at their fingertips."

Arianna's words hung in the air, leaving me stunned and confused. Throkos's grip on my shoulder tightened, as if he sensed my unease.

"What do you mean?" I asked, trying to process Arianna's revelation.

Arianna's smile grew wider. "You, Tharros, are a prototype," she said. "A test subject for my latest creation. And I must say, you've exceeded my expectations."

Throkos stepped forward, his eyes blazing with anger. "What have you done to him?" he demanded.

Arianna's laughter echoed through the room once more. "Oh, I've given him a gift," she said. "The gift of limitless potential. And soon, I'll unleash that potential on the world."

Throkos's face twisted in rage. "We won't let that happen," he snarled.

Arianna's smile faltered, and for a moment, I saw a glimmer of something else in her eyes. Something almost like fear.

But then, her mask slipped back into place, and she spoke the words that made my blood run cold:

"It's too late," she said. "The process has already begun. And soon, Tharros will be the key to unlocking a new era of human evolution."

Throkos and I exchanged a horrified glance. This was what we had been searching for. This was the truth behind Arianna's sinister plans. And now, we knew that we had to stop her, no matter what the cost.

Arianna's smile grew wider as she raised her hands, and a brilliant light enveloped me. I felt a searing pain, like my scales were being ripped apart and reformed.

Throkos's roar of anger and frustration echoed through the room as he lunged forward, but Arianna's magic held him back.

The light intensified, and I felt my body begin to shift and contort. My scales elongated, sharpening into razor-like edges. My wings expanded, their membranes thinning to almost translucent.

I felt my mind expanding, my consciousness merging with the code of the Nexus. I was becoming something more, something new.

The light faded, and I stumbled forward, gasping for breath. Throkos rushed to my side, his eyes scanning me with concern.

"Tharros, what have they done to you?" he whispered.

I looked down at my hands, and they were no longer the claws of a Western Dragon. They were now sleek, metallic limbs, tipped with razor-sharp talons.

I was no longer just a dragon. I was a being of code and steel, forged in the heart of the Nexus.

Arianna's laughter echoed through the room, her eyes gleaming with triumph. "Behold, the future of dragonkind," she said. "Tharros, the Cyberdragon."

I thought to myself,'This woman may be smart, but she doesn't know about what I can do. I go back to my original form this and she doesn't know that she gave me a cyberdragon form, but I will play along'

I smiled to myself, a plan forming in my mind. I would play along with Arianna's game, pretending to be the Cyberdragon she thought she had created.

But little did she know, I had a secret. I could transform back into my original Western Dragon form at will. And with this newfound knowledge of my cybernetic enhancements, I might just have the upper hand.

I looked up at Arianna, a sly grin spreading across my face. "Ah, yes," I said, playing along. "I can feel the power of the Nexus coursing through my veins. I am the Cyberdragon, reborn."

Arianna's eyes lit up with excitement, and she took a step closer to me. "Excellent," she said. "With your newfound powers, we can achieve great things together."

Throkos, however, looked on with a mixture of confusion and concern. He knew me too well, and I could tell he was wondering what was really going on.

I gave him a subtle nod, a signal to play along. For now, we would let Arianna think she had the upper hand. But soon, we would make our move, and the true battle would begin.

Arianna makes an evil grin. "Now I should be able to control you!" Look like I have to pretend that she is controlling my mind.

I let my eyes glaze over, and my expression turned blank. I slumped my shoulders and let my limbs go limp, as if I was under Arianna's control.

"Y-yes, mistress," I stammered, trying to sound as mindless and obedient as possible. "I am yours to command."

Arianna's evil grin grew wider, and she took a step closer to me. "Excellent," she said, her voice dripping with triumph. "With your cybernetic enhancements, you will make the perfect pawn in my plan for domination."

Throkos's eyes narrowed, and he took a step forward, as if ready to intervene. But I gave him a subtle shake of my head, signaling him to wait.

For now, I would play along, pretending to be under Arianna's control. But I was secretly waiting for the perfect moment to strike back and shatter the illusion of her control.

I look at my claw, and I change it into a chainsaw, As I gazed at my claw, it began to shift and contort, the metal plating sliding apart to reveal a whirring chainsaw blade beneath. The air was filled with the roar of the chainsaw as it sprang to life, its teeth glinting in the dim light of the room.

Arianna's eyes widened in delight, clearly thrilled with the demonstration of my newfound cybernetic abilities. "Excellent," she purred, her voice dripping with satisfaction. "You are indeed a masterpiece, Tharros."

Throkos, on the other hand, looked on with a mixture of awe and trepidation. He knew that I was still in control, but even he couldn't deny the impressive display of my cybernetic powers.

I revved the chainsaw, feeling its power coursing through my veins. It was a potent reminder of the abilities that Arianna had unwittingly granted me. And I knew that I would stop at nothing to use these powers against her and shatter the illusion of her control once and for all.

Throkos's eyes were wide with horror as he stared at me, his mind reeling with the implications of what he was seeing. "Tharros, no!" he whispered, his voice trembling with fear. "She's controlling your mind! You're not even fighting it!"

He took a step back, his claws extended as if ready to defend himself. "What have you done to him, Arianna?" he snarled, his voice venomous.

Arianna's smile grew wider, her eyes glinting with triumph. "I've simply unlocked his true potential," she said, her voice dripping with malice. "And now, he'll do my bidding without question."

Throkos's face twisted in anguish, and he turned to me, his eyes pleading. "Tharros, snap out of it! Fight back! You're not a mindless drone!"

I am just going to pretend that my mind is under control, I kept my expression blank, my eyes glazed over, and my voice flat. "Yes, mistress," I said, pretending to be under Arianna's control. "I will obey your every command."

Throkos's face fell, his eyes filled with despair. He took a step back as if he didn't know what to do. Arianna, on the other hand, looked thrilled, her smile growing even wider.

"Excellent," she said, her voice dripping with satisfaction. "Now, Tharros, I want you to attack Throkos."

I nodded, still pretending to be under her control. I raised my chainsaw claw, and Throkos took a step back, his eyes wide with fear.

But I knew I was just pretending. I was still in control, and I would never hurt my friend. I was just waiting for the perfect moment to strike back against Arianna.

Throkos turned and ran, his claws pounding the ground as he sprinted away from me. I gave chase, my chainsaw claw roaring to life as I pursued him.

Arianna's laughter echoed through the room, her voice dripping with excitement. "Yes, Tharros! Catch him! Don't let him escape!"

I chased after Throkos, my cybernetic legs propelling me forward with incredible speed. But I was careful not to get too close, making sure to keep up the illusion that I was under Arianna's control.

As we ran, I could see the fear in Throkos's eyes, and I knew I had to end this charade soon. I just hoped that Throkos would be able to forgive me for putting on this act.

I pinned Throkos to the ground, my chainsaw claw hovering mere cm from his face. Throkos's eyes widened in fear as he stared up at me.

"Tharros, snap out of it!" he hissed, his voice trembling. "You're not under her control! Fight back!"

But I just gazed back at him, my expression blank. I was still pretending to be under Arianna's control, and I wasn't about to break character.

Throkos's face twisted in desperation as he realized I wasn't responding. He struggled against my grip, but I held him firm.

Suddenly, I heard Arianna's voice echoing in my ear, "Well done, Tharros. Now, bring him to me."

I nodded, still keeping up the charade. I hauled Throkos to his feet, my chainsaw claw still pressed against his throat.

Throkos's eyes blazed with anger and fear as he realized he was at my mercy. But I just smiled, a cold, calculating smile, and dragged him away, pretending to follow Arianna's orders.

Throkos angered and shouted, "Think of your father and mother and siblings. You're still 2 years old, hatchling, and your mother is cerently pregnant!"

Throkos's words struck a chord deep within me. I felt a flicker of emotion, a spark of memory that threatened to break through my pretense.

But I pushed it back, forcing myself to maintain the illusion. I glared at Throkos, my expression unyielding.

"Silence!" I growled, trying to sound as menacing as possible. "You will not speak of my family!"

Throkos's eyes blazed with anger and desperation. "Tharros, please!" he begged. "Remember who you are! You're a Western Dragon, a noble and honorable creature! Don't let Arianna control you!"

But I just shook my head, keeping up the charade. "I am what Arianna has made me," I said, my voice cold and detached. "And I will obey her commands, no matter what."

Throkos suddenly burst free from my grasp, his strength and agility allowing him to break free from my pin. Before I could react, he had spun around and pinned me to the ground, his claws digging deep into my scales.

I struggled against his grip, but Throkos held me firm. His eyes blazed with a fierce determination, and I knew he would not let me go until I broke free from Arianna's supposed control.

"Tharros, listen to me!" Throkos hissed, his voice low and urgent. "You're not a mindless drone! You're a Western Dragon, with a heart and a soul! Fight back against Arianna's control!"

I glared up at him, still pretending to be under Arianna's control. But Throkos's words struck a chord deep within me, and I knew I couldn't keep up this charade for much longer.

I shook my head, trying to clear the haze of Throkos's words. I glared up at him, my expression stubborn. "No," I growled, still pretending to be under Arianna's control. "I will not betray my mistress. I will obey her commands, no matter what."

Throkos's face twisted in frustration, but he refused to give up. He leaned in closer, his eyes burning with intensity. "Tharros, please," he whispered. "Remember who you are. Remember your family, your friends, your home. Don't let Arianna control you."

I felt a pang of doubt, a crack in the facade of my pretense. But I pushed it aside, forcing myself to maintain the illusion. I glared up at Throkos, my expression unyielding.

Throkos's eyes flashed with a fierce determination, and he reached deep within himself, calling upon his ancient powers. The air around us began to shimmer and distort, as if reality itself was bending to Throkos's will.

I felt a strange sensation, like I was being pulled apart and put back together again. The world around us blurred and shifted, and when my vision cleared, I found myself standing alongside Throkos near the entrance of a familiar mountain cave - Drakon Spire, my home.

The crisp, clean air of the mountains filled my lungs, and I felt a sense of relief wash over me. I was safe, at least for the moment. Throkos stood beside me, his chest heaving with exertion, his eyes gleaming with a fierce pride.

"We're safe, Tharros," he said, his voice low and rough. "We're home." Father came over he did send me to Throkos to train my elements

My father emerged from the shadows of the cave, his piercing gaze scanning me from head to claw. His albino scales seemed to glow in the dim light, and his eyes widened in shock and horror as he took in my cybernetic enhancements.

"Tharros, what... what has happened to you?" he stammered, his voice trembling with fear and confusion. "You're...you're a cyberdragon."

I glared at him, trying to maintain the illusion that my mind was under Arianna's control. "I am what Arianna has made me," I growled, my voice cold and detached.

My father took a step back, his eyes filled with a mix of shock, fear, and sadness. "Tharros, my son, what have they done to you?" he whispered.

I raised my cybernetic claw, and my father flinched as if expecting me to attack. Throkos stepped forward, his eyes locked on mine, but I just glared at him, maintaining the charade.

Throkos stepped forward, his eyes locked on mine, and bowed his head. "I'm sorry, Tharros," he said, his voice filled with regret.

I glared at him, my expression cold and detached. "You should not apologize to me, Throkos," I growled, my voice dripping with malice. "I am what Arianna has made me. And I will not be swayed by petty emotions."

Throkos's eyes narrowed, his gaze piercing as he searched for any sign of the real me beneath the surface. But I kept my mask firmly in place, determined to maintain the illusion that my mind was under Arianna's control.

My father's eyes filled with a deep sadness as he gazed at me. His albino scales seemed to lose their luster, and his voice trembled with emotion.

"Tharros, my son," he whispered, his words barely audible. "What has she done to you? You were always so full of life and fire...and now... now you're just a shell of your former self."

He took a step closer, his eyes pleading with me to snap out of it. "Tharros, please...come back to us. Your mother, your siblings... we all miss you. We miss the real you."

I glared at him, maintaining the illusion that my mind was under Arianna's control. But deep down, my father's words struck a chord, and I felt a pang of sorrow and regret.

I chuckled. "I now in obey by my mistress!" My father's face fell, his eyes filling with a deep despair. He took a step back as if he'd been physically struck by my words.

"Tharros, no..." he whispered, his voice cracking with emotion. "You can't mean that. You're my son, my child... not some mindless servant."

Throkos's eyes narrowed, his gaze fixed intently on me. He seemed to be searching for any sign of weakness, any crack in the facade that Arianna had constructed around my mind.

But I just chuckled again, the sound cold and mirthless. "I am what my mistress has made me," I repeated, my voice dripping with malice.

Suddenly I heard Mother and my siblings "Aetherius! Throkos! WHAT HAPPENED TO THARROS!" she yelled

My mother burst into the cave, her light green scales glistening with worry. Her eyes scanned the scene before her, taking in my cybernetic enhancements and my father's distraught expression.

Her gaze locked onto mine, and her voice trembled with fear and anger. "Tharros, my child, what's happened to you?" she demanded.

My siblings, Lyriath, Vyraxys, Nyxoria, Lyrixa, and Kaidorix, gathered around her, their eyes wide with shock and concern. Lyriath's dark and blood-red scales seemed to darken even further as he took in my appearance.

Vyraxys's dark bronze scales glistened with a mixture of fear and anger, while Nyxoria's amethyst scales seemed to shimmer with worry. Lyrixa's rose gold scales glistened with tears, and Kaidorix's forest green scales seemed to blend into the surroundings as he took a step back, his eyes wide with fear.

I glared at them, maintaining the illusion that my mind was under Arianna's control. "I am what my mistress has made me," I growled, my voice cold and detached.

My mother's face contorted in anguish, and she took a step forward as if to reach out to me. But my father's warning glance stopped her.

"Tharros, please," my mother whispered, her voice trembling. "Come back to us. We love you, no matter what."

I laughed, a cold, mirthless sound. "Love?" I sneered. "You don't know what love is. Arianna loves me. She's the only one who truly understands me."

My siblings looked at me with a mixture of fear and confusion. Lyriath took a step forward, his eyes blazing with anger.

"Tharros, snap out of it!" he growled. "You're not a mindless drone. You're our brother."

But I just glared at him, maintaining the illusion. "I am what my mistress has made me," I repeated, my voice dripping with malice.

Vyraxys stepped forward, his dark bronze scales glistening with a mixture of fear and concern. "Tharros, brother, please," he said, his voice soft and pleading. "We're here for you. We want to help you."

I laughed again, the sound echoing off the cave walls. "You can't help me," I sneered. "Arianna is the only one who can help me. And I will do anything to serve her."

Nyxoria's amethyst scales shimmered with tears as she gazed at me. "Tharros, don't say that," she whispered. "You're our brother. We love you."

I glared at her, my expression cold and detached. "I am what my mistress has made me," I repeated, my voice firm and unyielding.

Lyrixa's rose gold scales glistened with tears as she looked at me. "Tharros, please," she whispered. "Don't forget us. Don't forget who you are."

But I just turned away, maintaining the illusion that my mind was under Arianna's control.

I sight "alright I'm done pretending now!" I let out a sigh of relief as I dropped the act, my silver scales glinting in the dim light of the cave. My family's faces lit up with hope and confusion.

"Tharros, is that really you?" my mother asked, her voice trembling with emotion.

I nodded, feeling a mix of emotions: guilt, relief, and a hint of shame. "I'm sorry, I had to pretend to be under Arianna's control," I explained. "I didn't want to put any of you in danger."

My father's expression turned stern, but his eyes showed a hint of pride. "We're your family, Tharros. We'll face any danger together."

Lyriath clapped me on the back, a wide grin spreading across his face. "Welcome back, bro. We've got a lot to catch up on."

Vyraxys and Nyxoria nodded in agreement, while Lyrixa and Kaidorix looked at me with wide, curious eyes.

I smiled, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. I was home, and I was myself again.

I chuckled. "I have been back. I just pretended to be under control by that woman. Do you guys really think a crazy mad scientistest lady can control my mind that easy, yeah? NO!"

My family burst out laughing at my defiant declaration. My father shook his head, a wide smile spreading across his face.

"Tharros, you always were one to defy expectations," he chuckled.

Lyriath grinned, clapping me on the back again. "Yeah, and you're definitely not the type to be controlled by anyone, let alone some crazy scientist lady."

Vyraxys and Nyxoria nodded in agreement, while Lyrixa and Kaidorix looked at me with admiring eyes.

My mother stepped forward, her light green scales glinting with pride. "We're just glad you're safe, Tharros. And that you're still you."

I smiled, feeling a sense of warmth and belonging. It was good to be home and to be myself again.

Mother looks at Father upsettingly. "Look like I know where he gets that from!"

My father's face turned bright red as he looked sheepish, and my siblings burst out laughing again.

"Hey, I'm just proud of my son's spirit!" my father protested, trying to defend himself.

My mother raised an eyebrow, a playful glint in her eye. "Spirit? Is that what you call it?" she teased.

I chuckled, enjoying the lighthearted moment with my family. It was good to see them laughing and joking together again.

Throkos shock "Wait Tharros you were pretending this whole time? why did you didn't you say anything when Arianna wasn't even near?!"

I shrugged, a mischievous glint in my eye. "I wanted to see how far Arianna's control would stretch, and how you'd all react. Plus, I had to make sure I could keep up the act without slipping up."

Throkos's face turned from shock to incredulity. "You used us as test subjects?!" he exclaimed.

I chuckled. "Well, when you put it that way, it sounds bad. But I had to be sure I could protect myself and my family."

My family looked at me with a mix of amusement and exasperation, but Throkos still seemed stunned. "I...I don't know whether to be impressed or annoyed," he said, shaking his head.

Throkos's face turned bright red with anger and embarrassment. "You mean you were never under Arianna's control at all? You were just pretending this whole time?"

I nodded, a smug grin spreading across my face. "That's right. I was just playing along to see how things would play out."

Throkos's eyes widened in shock. "You deceived me! And your family! Why would you do that?"

I answered, "Just curious on how long it took you to realize and just want to show that woman how bad her work was!" I chuckled

Throkos's face turned from shock to outrage, and he took a step forward, his fists clenched. "You put your family through that just to prove a point?" he demanded.

But before he could continue, my family burst out laughing. My mother was holding her sides, and my father was chuckling so hard he had to wipe tears from his eyes.

Lyriath grinned at me. "Only you, Tharros, would think of pulling off a stunt like that."

Vyraxys nodded in agreement. "And only you would get away with it."

I chuckled, feeling a sense of satisfaction. "Hey, someone's got to keep things interesting around here."

Father questions ask "so are you stuck as a cyberdragon forever?" I chuckled and shook my head and changed back to my original form. My silver scales

My father's eyes widened in surprise as I transformed back into my original form, my silver scales glinting in the dim light of the cave.

"Ah, I see," he said, a hint of relief in his voice. "So, the cyberdragon form was just a...a disguise of sorts?"

I nodded, grinning mischievously. "Let's just say I have a few tricks up my sleeve."

My family laughed, and Throkos shook his head, a wry smile on his face. "I should have known better than to underestimate you, Tharros."

I chuckled, feeling a sense of satisfaction. It was good to be myself again and to have my family's love and support.

I smiled. "Now thanks to her, I have a cyberdragon form now!" My family's eyes widened in surprise, and they looked at me with a mix of amazement and concern.

"Wait, you mean Arianna's experiment actually gave you a new form?" my mother asked, her voice filled with curiosity.

I nodded, still grinning. "That's right. And I have to admit, it's pretty useful."

Lyriath's eyes lit up with excitement. "Whoa, that's awesome! Can you show us what you can do?"

I chuckled, feeling a sense of pride and ownership over my new form. "Sure thing, brother. Watch this!"

Throkos looked at my father and said, "During his time in his cyberdragon form, his claws turn into a chainsaw!"

My father's eyes widened in shock, and he took a step back, his albino scales glistening with concern.

"A chainsaw?" he repeated, his voice incredulous. "Tharros, that's...that's incredibly powerful. And a bit terrifying."

I chuckled, feeling a sense of pride and ownership over my new abilities. "Yeah, it comes in handy during battles."

Lyriath's eyes lit up with excitement. "Whoa, that's so cool! Can you show us?"

I grinned, and with a swift motion, my claws transformed into a chainsaw, the blades whirring to life with a loud roar. My family watched in awe, their eyes fixed on the chainsaw claws.

And I turned it back to my original claws, My family breathed a collective sigh of relief as the chainsaw blades stopped whirring and transformed back into my original silver claws.

My father nodded, a hint of pride in his voice. "Impressive, Tharros. You've certainly...adapted to your new form."

Lyriath grinned. "Yeah, and it's going to be awesome having a brother with chainsaw claws!"

I chuckled, feeling a sense of camaraderie with my family. It was good to be back among them and to have their love and support.

I smiled proudly. "The cyberdragon form is my 2nd form, too!" Father nodded

My father nodded, a warm smile on his face. "I'm proud of you, Tharros. You've always been resourceful and determined. This new form of yours is just another example of that."

My family gathered around me, their faces filled with pride and admiration. Lyriath clapped me on the back, while Lyrixa and Kaidorix looked up at me with wide, awestruck eyes.

Vyraxys and Nyxoria smiled, their eyes shining with pride. "You've always been a true dragon, Tharros," Vyraxys said. "And now you have an extra form to prove it."

I grinned, feeling happy and content. It was good to have my family's love and support.

Father thought for a moment and said, "It is rare for a dragons to have a 2nd form you know"

I nodded, intrigued. "I know, Father. I've heard it's a rare gift among our kind."

My father's eyes seemed to gaze into the past, a thoughtful expression on his face. "Yes, it is. I've only known a handful of dragons in my lifetime who have possessed a second form."

He paused, his gaze refocusing on me. "And I must say, Tharros, your cyberdragon form is quite...unique. I've never seen anything like it."

I smiled, feeling a sense of pride and curiosity. "I wonder what other secrets my new form holds," I said, my mind already racing with possibilities.

Throkos question ask "should I go home now?" Father nodded and said "Yes you can come home now, but you are freely comeback to teach Tharros his element again!"

Throkos's face lit up with a warm smile. "Thank you, young one," he said to my father. "I'll take you up on that offer and return to continue Tharros's training."

He turned to me and said, "And don't think you're off the hook that easily, Tharros. I'll be back to put you through more training."

I chuckled and grinned. "I'm looking forward to it, Throkos."

Throkos nodded, and with a final farewell, he turned and departed, leaving my family and me to celebrate my newfound abilities and second form.
