Chapter 8 - Chapter 7: A Monster.

The crowd in the arena hummed with anticipation. It was the moment everyone had been waiting for—the final rounds of the tournament, where the most promising young ninjas would showcase their skills. Naruto stood across from Naruko in the center of the arena, his heart heavy with conflict. He didn't want to hurt his sister, but he also knew he had to win if he wanted to prove himself. The sun hung low in the sky, casting long shadows over the two siblings as they faced each other.Naruko, with her fierce gaze, made it clear she held no such hesitation. Her hatred for Naruto simmered beneath the surface, fueling her every move. To her, Naruto was a disgrace—an unwanted sibling who carried the spirit of the Nine-Tails. While she and Menma were praised as the future heroes of the village, Naruto was the pariah, the one everyone feared. The referee signaled the start of the match, and Naruko wasted no time. She charged at Naruto with blistering speed, her movements fluid and precise. Naruto, caught off guard by the intensity of her attack, barely managed to block her first strike. His hands trembled as he tried to hold back, not wanting to retaliate with full force."Come on, Naruto! Fight back!" Naruko sneered as she launched another flurry of punches and kicks, her movements aggressive. "You're pathetic! Always have been!"Naruto gritted his teeth, deflecting her strikes as best as he could. He didn't want to hurt her, but it was becoming increasingly difficult to keep up. Every time he hesitated, Naruko pressed harder, forcing him onto the defensive. As the fight dragged on, Naruto realized that he couldn't hold back any longer. If he didn't fight seriously, Naruko might actually injure him. Summoning his courage, Naruto leaped back and unleashed a series of shadow clones, hoping to overwhelm her without causing serious harm. But Naruko was ready. With a cold smirk, she easily dispelled the clones, her chakra control far superior to Naruto's. "Is this all you've got, Naruto? No wonder everyone hates you."Her words cut deeper than her strikes ever could, but Naruto clenched his fists, refusing to let the anger consume him. He needed to stay focused. With a deep breath, he lunged forward, attempting a counterattack. His punches were precise but restrained, his heart not fully in the fight. The battle continued, with Naruto barely managing to stay on his feet. Eventually, after what felt like an eternity, he saw an opening. Naruko, overconfident in her abilities, left herself exposed for just a moment. Naruto hesitated, but knowing this was his only chance, he delivered a gentle strike to her abdomen, knocking her off balance.Naruko fell to the ground, panting heavily. Her eyes burned with fury as she struggled to stand, but the referee stepped in, raising his hand."Naruto wins!" he declared. The crowd cheered, but Naruto didn't feel any sense of victory. Naruko glared at him with pure hatred as she pushed herself off the ground and stormed out of the arena without a word. Naruto watched her go, his heart sinking. The next match was Sasuka versus Menma. The two stood at opposite ends of the arena, their eyes locked in a tense stare. Sasuka's expression was calm and focused, while Menma wore a cocky smirk, clearly confident in his abilities. As the match began, Menma wasted no time, launching a barrage of powerful jutsu at Sasuka. She dodged and weaved, her movements graceful yet precise, but Menma's attacks were relentless. His chakra control was nearly flawless, and his raw power made him a fearsome opponent.Sasuka, however, refused to back down. With each of Menma's attacks, she found an opening, slowly but surely closing the distance between them. The battle was intense, with both fighters exchanging blow after blow. Menma's smirk slowly faded as Sasuka's resilience became clear. After a hard-fought battle, Sasuka saw her opportunity. With a burst of speed, she managed to break through Menma's defenses, landing a decisive hit that sent him sprawling to the ground. The crowd erupted in shock as Sasuka was declared the winner. Exhausted but triumphant, Sasuka stood tall, breathing heavily but proud of her victory. As Sasuka took a moment to catch her breath, the next opponent stepped forward. A boy from the academy—cocky and arrogant—swaggered into the arena. He had been eliminated earlier but had forced his way into this match with Sasuka, determined to prove something. The moment the match began, it was clear that this boy had no intention of fighting fair. Instead of focusing on the battle, he made a crude move, lunging toward Sasuka with inappropriate intentions. But Sasuka was prepared. With a swift motion, she sidestepped his advance and struck him down with precision, sending him crashing into the dirt. The fight was over in seconds, the boy lying defeated on the ground. Sasuka turned away, disgusted by his behavior, and the crowd murmured in approval of her skill. But Naruto, watching from the sidelines, saw what had just happened—and something inside him snapped. The next match was supposed to be Sasuka versus Naruto, but Naruto's focus wasn't on the fight anymore. His eyes locked onto the boy who had tried to harass Sasuka. Fury boiled inside him, and before anyone could react, he stormed into the arena, ignoring the referee's calls.Naruto approached the boy, his expression dark and dangerous. Without a word, he grabbed the boy's hand and, with a sickening crack, broke his fingers. The boy screamed in pain, but Naruto wasn't finished. He snapped the boy's wrist, then his arm, the sound of breaking bones echoing through the arena. The crowd watched in stunned silence as Naruto lifted the boy into the air by his throat, his eyes wild with rage, as if he was about to kill him."Naruto, stop!" Sasuka shouted, but her voice didn't reach him.Just as Naruto was about to tighten his grip, a blur of yellow flashed across the arena. Minato, moving with lightning speed, appeared between them. Without any hesitation, he punched Naruto with all his might, sending his son flying across the arena and crashing into the stone wall. The force of the blow left Naruto dazed, struggling to stand, he couldnt help but cough blood. But Minato wasn't finished. He marched toward Naruto, his face filled with anger and disappointment. Grabbing Naruto by the collar, Minato slammed him into the ground."You're a disgrace, Naruto," Minato spat, his voice filled with venom. "You've done nothing but prove everyone right—you're a monster."Naruto's vision blurred as Minato struck him again, the crowd watching in shock. All Naruto had ever wanted was his father's approval, his love. But now, all he felt was pain, both physical and emotional, as Minato's blows rained down on him."You will never be worthy," Minato hissed, throwing Naruto aside like he was nothing.Naruto lay on the ground, his body broken, his heart shattered. The weight of his father's words crushed him more than any physical wound. The crowd, silent and uneasy, slowly began to disperse, leaving Naruto alone in the arena as darkness closed in around him.
