Chapter 47 - The Struggle Between the Known and Unknown

There's not a drop of poison energy left in Muk's body.

Not a single drop.

Yet Rope senses that section of the river is still releasing poisonous energy...

Which meant there was something unknown in the river under the silt.

The scariest thing is always the unknown.

But the most hypnotizing thing is also the unknown.

So Rope decided to truthfully tell these workers the current state of events as he surmised them to be.

He looked up at Junji, who was also looking at his hands a little confused, and the skepticism in his eyes intensified, but he still didn't say anything more than spoke faintly.

"Your situation is quite dangerous right now. There is some unknown danger in this river, it could be Pokémon or something else. Your actions of clearing the silt could wake him up, or disturb him. I don't know if his temper will be good enough to forgive you guys, but I think something will happen if you keep digging."

Rope didn't mean to lower his voice, so while Junji's face paled, the workers behind him all went 'boom'.

Damn, this job they were doing was dangerous enough! Now a researcher was saying that they would probably encounter unknown dangers. Can they do this?

The company's wages didn't match the price they had to pay.

At the very least...there had to be a raise...

Junji glared coldly at Rope, "You're being alarmist."

Rope smiled with interest, "I have no need to lie to you, it's none of my business if your work goes on or not, it's none of my business if you keep your jobs or not, as long as I don't look at you, then it's none of my business if you die or not. It's nothing more than a gentleman who is far away from the kitchen. I'm just telling you an inference I've made like this, with no intention of forcing you to believe it. Believe it or not, it's up to you."

After hearing Rope's words, the buzzing of the workers became even more lively. And Junji's face and was black and red, red and white. Finally glaring coldly at Rope.

"Do you have proof?" Junji seemed to be in a state of giving up his illusions and recognizing reality. But Rope still saw a little bit of Junji's disguise, only, he could see it still because previously Junji's loss of temper was still too obvious, to be able to easily turn himself around in such a loss of temper, Junji this guy was still very much appreciated by Rope.

I just don't know what kind of person this guy is.

But Rope didn't really care. With Rope's strength, he didn't really need to care about most of the dangers in this world anymore. So he could feel free to boldly die!

Ahem, Rope is a decent person, how would he do something as in bad taste as death?

In fact, Rope is still very envious of those who have the system of the traveler counterparts, look at other people's system, send tasks, give rewards, help pick up girls, help raise children, and even let the system to give birth to their own God.

Look at himself, a three-less traveler, not even an after-sales service, if Rope had the chance to start over again... at least he would have to ask for more benefits...

However, the current life is not bad, Rope does not have any complaints. In the end, things have come to this point, as long as we can survive, everyone will always adapt to the environment. Even if you don't adapt mentally, your body will gradually adapt.

Back to the topic.

"When I dug the silt out of the river, the silt didn't carry poison in it. That's why my hand is still intact now." Rope shook his hand at everyone, it was white and tender with long fingers, looking like a hand that could play the piano, "But now the air is still filled with poisonous energy, which means that the source of the poisonous energy isn't this silt, which is Muk's corpse."

As he said this, Junji suddenly interrupted him.

"Wait!" Junji's face hardened slightly as he looked at Rope and pointed in the direction of the river, "You're telling me that all the silt on the side there is the real Muk's corpse."

Rope tilted his head in thought, "Maybe a few hundredths of it is the original silt, but the vast majority, or the entire river is Muk's body all right."

Junji seemed to realize the seriousness of the matter. That's why his face became even more ugly.

Rope didn't care about him, and continued by himself, "According to my investigation, the poisonous energy you have here doesn't seem to be Muk, or some common poisonous Pokémon, but there's no doubt that the intensity of the poison here is good and not small in scope. But it still doesn't reach the level of scaring away or poisoning so many Pokémon as you guys said before. So there's something fishy about the deaths of those dead Pokémon as well. No matter what."

A small devilish grin appeared on Rope's face, "The originator of all this may be hiding underneath this silt, ah no, I should say the bodies, so it's up to you to decide if you want to continue clearing the silt or not. I have to continue to observe, if necessary I will let the relevant departments to intervene in the investigation."

Junji didn't care about the panic of the workers behind him, nor did he care about Rope's words. He was just staring and thinking.

Rope guessed that he was probably weighing the pros and cons, although he didn't know what this Junji guy was really like. But it was clear that this guy was definitely not a worker.

[Known dangers and unknown dangers, how would you weigh them?

Rope looked at the rowdy workers with a villain-like smile on his face.

He really didn't mean any harm though, he was confident that the thing down there could handle itself.

When he had just cupped the sludge, he had felt a hint of poisonous energy raised, and it looked like it was the poisonous energy that had been blocked by the Muks' corpses. Since that was the case, Rope naturally projected the energy strength of the thing underneath, which might barely be able to reach the level of an ordinary second level god.

Of course, the possibility of a miscalculation or an explosive ability could not be ruled out. However!

How can it be as strong as Hoopa's Evil Thoughts?

Don't kid yourself, Rope's Arceus or Eternatus appearing here is just a joke.

If these two gods were here, Ho-Oh would've already gone straight to Sacred Fire and washed the floor.

Directly breaking into someone's bedroom to sleep, brother, even between Legendary Pokémon this is taboo ah!

Junji didn't hesitate for long, he quickly resumed the appearance that a leader should have and said, "Hideki, you go and inform the company that something has happened on our side, explain the matter clearly, and then ask the company to hurry up and send someone to deal with the negotiation."

The skinny Hideki was flabbergasted for a moment when he heard Junji naming his name, then he gave an "Oh!" gave a cry and headed towards their makeshift camp.

"I hope you're not lying." Junji said with a gentle face but cold eyes.

"I'm a kind person." Rope smiled, and replied.
