Almost every hero team includes a tech expert working behind the scenes.
The exquisitely beautiful blonde woman standing before them is none other than Felicity, the "watcher" for the Arrow team.
Currently, the Arrow team consists of four members: Felicity, Oliver, 'Spartan' Diggle, and 'Canary' Sara Lance. Coincidentally, Diggle and Sara were not at the base today.
"Hi, Felicity. My name is Kaius—Liam Rogers—and this is my friend, Diana Prince," Kaius introduced herself enthusiastically, stepping forward to shake Felicity's hand.
Diana also extended her hand and greeted Felicity with a warm smile.
Oliver Queen, standing to the side, crossed his arms and shot a stern glare at Kaius, clearly unimpressed.
"You weren't planning to tell me your real identity earlier, were you?" he said accusingly.
Kaius shrugged nonchalantly. "Oh, come on, you were about to shoot me with an arrow just a few minutes ago!"
Oliver slapped his forehead in exasperation. Who's going to believe this nonsense?
Felicity, sensing the tension between the three, forced a polite smile and asked, "What exactly happened between you all?"
"Nothing! Absolutely nothing happened!" Oliver replied hastily, wearing a painfully awkward grin. The last thing he wanted was for Felicity to know that a woman had easily overpowered him—it was a memory he'd rather erase.
"By the way, Felicity," Kaius interjected, "if it's not too much trouble, could you get us some fresh clothes? As you can see, Diana and I are still in our uniform s."
Kaius rested his hand casually on Oliver's shoulder, and, surprisingly, he let it slide, opting to conserve his energy rather than argue.
"Sure, I'll grab some outfits," Felicity replied, still looking puzzled. She disappeared into the base's storage room and returned moments later with two sets of clothes.
Once Felicity was out of earshot, Oliver turned to Kaius and Diana with a serious expression. "Whatever happened today—none of it happened. Understand?"
Kaius and Diana exchanged amused glances before nodding. "No problem," they said in unison.
Since the Arrow team frequently encountered injuries during their missions, they kept spare clothing at the base for emergencies. Most of these were standard-issue uniforms from Queen Enterprises, designed to fit both men and women.
Kaius and Diana headed to the lounge to change. When they returned, Kaius looked like an ordinary high school student, while Diana had transformed from a heroic warrior into a stunningly elegant professional.
"Wow, you look amazing!" Felicity exclaimed, momentarily captivated by Diana's beauty. Even Diana's charm left her feeling slightly flustered.
Meanwhile, Oliver had finished treating his injuries and changed into his usual attire. He sat at the table, his expression more composed, and addressed Kaius and Diana directly.
"Now," he said, "can you finally tell me who you really are?"
Kaius glanced at Oliver, feeling a sense of admiration. Despite having no superpowers, Oliver had dedicated himself to heroism and the pursuit of justice, achieving feats beyond the reach of ordinary people.
"Sure, I can tell you who we are," Kaius replied. "But first, you need to open your mind and accept that the world is full of infinite possibilities. If you can't do that, you'll just think I'm making it all up."
Oliver sighed, recalling how Diana had handled him with laughable ease. Resigned, he nodded. "Fine. I'm listening."
Kaius leaned back and began. "To explain who I am, I have to start with my brother. And to understand him, we need to go back to a meteor shower that hit a small town ten years ago..."
Kaius simply told Oliver and Felicity that aliens exist, and that there was indeed a race with extraordinary powers in this world. Diana was the representative of such people.
Of course, Kaius didn't recklessly reveal Superman's true identity to them.
What Kaius said wasn't new to Diana, but for Oliver and Felicity, it took a long time to digest and calm down.
"You are incredible—powerful aliens, humans with extraordinary abilities... I always thought the world was grounded in science!" Oliver remarked, still processing what he had heard.
Oliver didn't doubt Kaius's words, especially after witnessing Diana jump twenty meters into the air as if it were nothing.
Could an ordinary person do that?
Certainly not!
"Who says it's unscientific to possess mysterious powers?" Kaius countered. "It's just that most humans haven't seen the true face of the world."
"I have a question, I have a question!" Felicity interjected, raising her hand like an eager student. Smiling at Diana, she asked, "Diana, have you really lived for hundreds of years?"
"Since I can remember, my mother has thrown me two hundred and forty birthday banquets," Diana replied nonchalantly.
"Oh my God! Two hundred and forty years old, and you look so young!" Felicity exclaimed, covering her mouth in astonishment.
Kaius noticed Felicity's envious expression. After all, for a human woman, youth and beauty often have a fleeting span of about a decade. Once that period passes, aging becomes inevitable.
"Don't just stop at two hundred and forty years," Kaius teased. "Diana can live forever. Even if the Earth explodes, she'd still look as young as ever!"
Felicity's eyes widened with envy and amazement, her expression a mix of admiration and disbelief.
As the four of them chatted, the console computer suddenly sounded an alarm. Felicity and Oliver immediately snapped to attention, realizing that something was wrong.
"It's from Queen Consolidated," Felicity said after a quick check. "There's been a break-in at the Applied Sciences Division."
"A break-in? At our Applied Sciences Division?" Oliver echoed, his tone incredulous. Although he rarely involved himself in the company's day-to-day operations, he knew the security wasn't so lax.
Just then, Oliver's phone rang. It was his personal bodyguard, Diggle.
"Oliver, the Applied Sciences Division has been robbed," Diggle informed him.
"I just heard about it. What's missing?" Oliver asked.
"Not sure yet. The warehouse's iron door was breached, and two employees on duty were killed. We're still assessing what might have been stolen. Do you want to come down here?"
"I'll be there soon," Oliver replied.
After hanging up, he turned to Felicity. "I'm heading over. Stay here with Kaius and Diana. It's already late, so if you two would like, you can spend the night here in Star City."
