"I would like to know how to become stronger quickly. I know you have the knowledge for this," Ken asked politely.
Celine looked him up and down with a thoughtful gaze. "Why?"
"I am going to the most dangerous position within enemy lines. I want to make sure I don't die," he asserted.
After a moment of pause. Celine reached a conclusion.
"Very well," Celine grabbed a nearby chair and suggested to sit for the long explanation.
"Let's start with the basics. Whenever something is born, it has two 'powers' within them: vitality and magic. Vitality is the strength of the body or the strength of your life. Increasing vitality means that you're physical strength and losing vitality results in losing your life."
"Magic is the laws of reality. It is present everywhere in a formless state that our minds cannot comprehend. The way things work and how abstract concepts apply to the world is the work of magic.
Everybody gets one magic affinity as a byproduct of birth. Time, fire, holy, light, control, desire, any concept or physical thing with a name can be a magic affinity that a magic user can control.
Magic is something the world gives you and can only be trained by focusing on the concept of magic you are given. This is unlike Divine Power which feeds of off and is trained by discovering personal beliefs and desire.
Although humanity needs sigils to help them channel their magic it can be channeled completely without assistance from any markings with enough confidence. However, marking yourself with something like a sigil binds it to your affinity to magic. Meaning that if I were break my sigil I would lose my connection to Telekinesis Magic and not be able to use it anymore."
"I don't see why I need to learn about magic. It's not like I can use it," Ken commented.
"It's not about learning magic. It's about learning what your father did to your body," she pointed at his chest. "Now that I know more about Divinity and my increased knowledge of magic in general, I can understand what your father did to you."
"The world was killing you because your race isn't supposed to exist. To circumvent this, your father made your body indestructible by normal means through making your magic permenantly strengthen your body."
"He made your whole body a sigil. Your entire body circulates magic but not to empower the spells that you would cast with your affinity. Instead, your body uses all of your magic to constantly improve its vitality.
This would make you live longer and have the body strength necessary to survive the world's punishment. This shouldn't be possible by normal means but he used his Divinty to fill in the gaps of such a risky procedure."
Ken had a surprised looked of realization. He never knew how his body truly worked until now, but that suddenly made him think.
Ken had to ask. "Can't I just stop the procedure of strengthening my body and use magic now? My body is already as strong as needs to be to endure whatever curse the world put on me."
Celine sighed in her explanation. "Your body acts as a sigil. Even if you found a way to reverse whatever he did, you would lose your affinity just like how I would lose my affinity if I broke my sigil. So, it's better for you to have the ever-increasing vitality from the procedure your dad did instead of nothing."
"I still don't get how this knowledge makes me stronger," Ken crossed his arms. Even a smarter version of Ken couldn't keep his eagerness down too much.
Celine remained nonchalant. "What I'm saying is that you have permenantly increasing vitality. You don't just 'become physically strong' you create vitality. Usually, getting vitality isn't easy but you can generate it by existing.
Meaning, the easiest way for you to get strong is to find a method to turn vitality into even more power. Think of it like blasting deadly beams of harmful vitality. Luckily, I know a few methods you create in around 20 years or so.
I'm willing to teach you but take it easy. If you lose all of your vitality you will die and using too much of it will leave your body as brittle as sticks. You are literally turning your strength into beams of energy so don't get surprised if you feel weak."
…
Hours passed as Celine taught Ken a technique he would invent in the future. Aria soon left to converse with the other two master mages to prepare for the second battle. This time, Valeria was attacking humanity.
"What do you even do up there in the sky?" Ken asked while laying on the floor rubbing his head. Training the mind to be able to use techniques wasn't something he was used to as he always trained physically only.
"I'm studying my divinity," Celine replied. "Your mother described to me the actual strength of Gods. It's as she said, I've just entered the game as a player instead of a piece so I need to prepare myself:"
"Sigh, I never wanted to enhance my power, but if it's for our safety I can do it. At least Divinity is an easy power to study as it is myself. 'Change' is something I'm very used to so using it is becoming easier by the minute."
Ken got up and stretched with a yawn. "How strong are you, really? If you're the weakest God, then knowing your strength will give me a glimpse of what the true peak of this world is," he excitingly asked as he always dreamed of reaching the peak of strength.
"Hmm," Celine scratched her chin. "If I were to put in words how strong I was, then I would say this."
A devastating aura appeared around Celine as her whole demeanor changed into a seriously frightening one. "Both sides of the war, Valeria and humanity, can be easily destroyed by me with magic alone. I wouldn't even have to use divinity to kill everybody here and that isn't accounting for the destruction I would do to the ground here."
The angry violet light that crashed against reality seemed to come to a pause for a moment. "But I'm the weakest God, of course. I must stay humble." She mumbled a melodic tune while going on about her day.
As if she didn't explain how much destructive power she held.
Ken stopped himself from being surprised and took in that information.
"Gods really are the peak. Mastery, magic, vitality, divinity that breaks the laws of reality, they have it all."
