Chapter 17 - The Entire World

*Squelch, a man's insides imploded and he fell to the floor without even knowing how he died.

"Peace was never an option I guess. Not with the tower making people desperate and greedy," Celine had a composed look of killing and Aria stood by her side with an equally cold glare. It was clear neither of them enjoyed killing but it couldn't be avoided. This the cold face.

"So are you going to stop whatever rebellion your trying to cause or am I gonna have to kill all of you?" Celine asked to the several people in her grasp that couldn't move. A violent violet force kept them at bay.

"Just kill them already," Aria said with a hint of anger on the seemingly emotionless face of hers. She was staring at the countless naked female bodies found in the basements of the noble houses. It was obvious by the smell what these 'nobles' were doing.

"Trying to rebel is annoying," Aria stared at the bodies, "but doing pointless things like this can only end with you people being inside a grave."

Celine gave a wry smile that broke her emotionless facade upon hearing Aria's anger. "Can I infer that their executions are a royal order then, Princess?" She asked.

Aria just looked at her coldly, not wanting to play these games of hers. However, that look alone conveyed how dead she wanted these 'nobles'. Celine looked at her with warming eyes despite the cold gaze. "Your wish is my command," the god bowed politely and the captive men began to implode one by one.

Bloody remains and horrified screams filled the noble mansion and people gathered on the perimeter while fearfully whispering about what may be happening inside. However, a violet force soon blocked out even the sound as the vibrations in the mansion came to a close.

"Aw man! I got all bloody," Celine frowned and wiped her bloody hands on her shirt to no avail. She had immediately stopped the serious facade and frantically tried to get the blood of off her.

In the end, she slouched her shoulders and looked at the perfectly clean Aria in defeat. "You leave first, I've gotta clean myself up or Arthur will kill me for getting blood in his castle," she casually addressed the king.

They had an acknowledging gaze before Aria left and Celine was alone in the castle. Celine hummed a melodic tune happily as she found water to wash herself briefly, completely oblivious to the devastation she had caused. Suddenly however, her facial expression immediately tensed and the violet force around her flared in fear.

"Who's here?" She calmly asked and took a battle stance. Celine trembled in her bones and a familiar feeling of feer she had not felt for a while seeped in her bones. Normally, she wouldn't be afraid of any mortal because she was a god, but she felt the intruder's godly aura and wanted to run.

Celine wasn't ready to battle a god. She needed to at least discover her own divine power to have a chance but she still lacked lifetimes of experiences they had.

"You can't beat me," an aged cosmic voice boomed in the mansion. "Let's just talk instead," the ancient voice nonchalantly considered.

Celine backed away in caution. "I refuse to talk to a person I cannot see. It's basic courtesy for conversation." The sigil on her hand hummed in power and a divine aura permeated the mansion. Celine's divine power was weak because it lacked desire to make it strong but it was still raw godly power in a sense.

Chairs and tables rattled endlessly in the room as Celine was preparing to destroy everything to make it out alive. She didn't want to test how strong other gods were and simply wanted to use everything and live. However, she relaxed slightly when an aged man with a long beard and plain robe walked out slowly.

"I am Cronos, the First God, people also call me the Omnipresent God," he introduced him selves gracefully.

Celine still had her guard up. "You said I can't win against you, what makes you so sure? Or are you stalling for something?"

Cronos looked confused at that moment. It seemed as if he truly couldn't comprehend what she had just said.

"Aside from the fact that your divine power of incomplete, I think that your understanding of gods is poor." The man casually raised his hand and a ball that appeared like a small earth manifested in front of him. Even oceans and mountains could be seen on the small object.

A very tiny portion of the small earth started to glow a tint of blue. The portion was so tiny that it was like a simple black dot in the ocean. "This represents the area of the Valerian King's Divine Kingdom. You know what that is right?"

Celine nodded. A Divine Kingdom was essentially a circle around a god in which their divine power spread evenly. Only in this area could they use their divine power and it usually followed with the god at it's center but it was up to the god's discretion.

Most gods couldn't keep a huge Divine Kingdom around them for long because it took too much control and focus, so they unleashed their Divine Kingdom as an ultimate power. However, some of the strongest gods could keep a Divine Kingdom up forever. For example, Arthur's was his entire kingdom and Celine hadn't even understood how to make one yet.

Seeing the nod from Celine, Cronos continued. "To put in perspective the power difference and why you simply cannot win, your Divine Kingdom isn't even formed yet but mine is the entire world. My Divine Kingdom permenantly covers the whole world."

Celine's eyebrows spiked. "The permanently covering the whole world?!" She couldn't believe it. She could understand temporarily covering the whole world in a Divine Kingdom. But permenantly?

That meant that this God could inflict his desire anywhere and anytime. If his Divine Kingdom permenantly covered the whole world, then he could be destroying countries while sitting in a chair at home. He wouldn't even have to leave his house to use his power anywhere.

Cronos looked at her acknowledgingly. "Yes, others use their Divine Kingdom as a powerful move, dictating the area in which they hold absolute power, but mine is permenantly everywhere," he instructed.

Celine was busy still understanding that relavation but Cronos spoke again. "Do you understand it now? Why you simply cannot beat me? Even if you tried to run I would still find you anywhere on this earth and hunt you. As they say, I am omnipresent."
