Gia Kalif was a rude and proud lady, who saw herself as the number one significant lady in the castle, aside from Alpha Knight's sisters. She was the daughter of the Major General of Balendin, and held the position as the Chief Female Army Commander.
Her father was the third authority in the whole pack, and she was the first authority in the line of women affairs. So, she was quite important and was always patrolling up and down the pack castle bringing news or her own businesses. Gia was extremely proud of her position in the pack. Even the Alpha's sisters respected her, despite her being under them considering their Alpha blood. This made her think too high of herself. And it was the same reason she disliked the Alpha of the whole pack, he didn't respect her or even consider her as significant. She thought he was too arrogant and narcissistic. Not realizing she was just like him, only he was a bit more of a jerk.
As she entered the elevator and watched the receding backs of Alpha Knight and his beta, she took in a deep breath. She was getting a strange rage in her and she needed to calm down. It didn't matter if there was finally going to be a Luna. She would still be the Chief Female Army Commander, the second lady in command.
"Second lady!" she fumed and punched the door of the elevator. She didn't want to be second. She had to remain first lady in the pack. But that wasn't possible now that he found his mate. Why didn't she vile for that position earlier? She was blinded by her egoistic hatred towards him all these time.
As the elevator door dinged open, she had a firm look on her face. She knew how she was going to continue being the first lady. And that was by occupying the position of the first lady—The Luna Of Balendin Pack.

Olive's eyes dimmed involuntarily as a mighty light flashed on her eyes even as she slept.
"She's here," a voice announced and more noises erupted in the background. Olive's heart dropped out of her body for the hundredth time. This was it. Her execution.
She sat up and curled her legs to herself as the light flashed all over her. Two men walked inside and carried her up gently by her arms, as if she was an egg. They walked her out and every other person on their way parted. They kept walking but suddenly stopped. She was breathing heavily and her whole body was sore.
She however quickly realized why they had stopped—Alpha Knight had come. His rainy scent filled her insides and she got strengthened. She was fine. Her mate would protect her. Her heart beat increased, but this time not out of fear. But at the thought of him being her mate. He would surely protect her, he was The Big Bad Alpha.
But, how could he be her mate? Wasn't she overthinking this rubbish? Cynthia was with him. She was Cynthia's mate.
Alpha Knight stopped walking immediately he saw them pulling her out from the gate of the dungeons. His heart literally stopped beating and everything went dead silent. Olive, his mate being pulled out of the dungeons in a castle where she was supposed to be Luna over. His jaw clenched and his fists balled.
'Mate,' his wolf growled hungrily and angrily in his head. He walked to her and carried her in his arms.
"Jake, cancel all my meetings for a week. And don't reschedule no matter how urgent except if I permit it," he ordered with a growl in his voice and sped out. Everyone looked wowed at the way he cared for that woman.
"Did he finally find his mate?" they began to ask themselves in hushed tones.
Olive closed her eyes as she felt the speed in which Wayne took. Soon, they were in the elevator going up. None spoke a word until they arrived in his large quarters upstairs. His private elevator dinged open and he stepped out with Olive in his hands. His jaw was clenched and he refused to look down at her for fear of his anger losing control over her look. The smell of fresh blood just wouldn't leave his nostrils and it angered him that it was his mate's blood. He had never even felt this sort of anger in a long time. Now he knew why werewolves turned feral when their mates got hurt or ki||ed. It was just natural.
Olive's eyes opened and she looked at the place they had stepped into. It was a very large hall, like a lobby. The walls were all cream colored, with sparkling marble tiled floor. They were different paintings on the walls, and beautiful gold ornamental flowers were pinned all around the room. They was a fountain in the middle of the hall, and a large aquarium at one side. The room was spectacular. Plus, his scent was everywhere. She loved it.
Alpha Knight hurried through the hall and to a large golden double-door opposite the elevator at the other end of the hall. It opened on its own and he walked into a short but wide hallway with the same type of tiles and walls. One smaller double-door was right in front and he walked in. A beautiful bedroom came into view. It was large, same size as that hall. There were a lot of things inside, but the pounding headache Olive had, didn't let her continue looking. She closed her eyes and only inhaled Wayne's smell.
Wayne entered his bathroom immediately and while still holding Olive, he filled the bathtub with hot water. He sat her in and ripped off the maid uniform which she wore. He left her in her bra and undies only. His mind was numb as he walked around, grabbing ointments and soaps then pouring them into the water.
He got a towel, crouched down by her side and wiped the blood of her lips.
"Why did you leave that room?" he asked, speaking to her for the first time since he found her.
If only she had just stayed there in that room, he wouldn't be wiping blood again.
"I'm sorry," she mumbled and heaved a deep sigh. She opened her eyes and looked at Wayne who was looking deathly as he wiped her bruises. She was healing already and that gladdened him. He needed her to be whole.
Olive's heartbeat increased as she stared as the exquisitely handsome man crouched beside her. He was handsome, no doubt. So masculine that she wanted to hold his firm body and look into his eyes while he pinned her to himself.
What would those red lips feel like on hers? Firm, strong and dominating. A smile broke out from her lips at that thought and Wayne's brows furrowed.
"Something funny?" he asked and she flinched.
"I… no. I'm sorry," she apologized again and looked down. The foam was all around her unclad body so she was well hidden. Wayne got on his feet and began to walk out.
"There's a towel by you. When you're done, come out. And don't think about anything funny. I won't spare that this time," he commanded and banged the door behind him, making Olive almost flinch out of the bathtub. She didn't waste too much time. She was out in ten minutes.
Wayne was looking out his glass window when he heard the door opening. He looked back and froze. Her black hair was now wet and it hugged her body like a wet silk cloth. If alluring was a creature. It would be her.
"d@mn," he purred in his head. Olive's eyes looked up and met with his. No other sounds were made, no movements. Just staring, eyeball to eyeball. There was an invisible magnetic force that wouldn't let him even move a degree to the other direction, away from her.
"You look beautiful, my mate," he purred in satisfaction. He watched her eyes widen and her jaw drop open.
"M-mate?" she stuttered.
✧Chapter 10✧
Alpha Wayne crossed his arms in amusement. So he was right, she hadn't realized. He watched her stagger backwards and hit the door of the bathroom. Her towel loosened and almost fell but she grabbed it, opened the door, ran in then shut it back.
"No, no, no. It's just hallucination. It's hallucination," Olive whispered but it was quite audible to Wayne. He could hear her breathing nervously.
"Come out, mate!" Wayne ordered and began to walk towards the door of the bathroom.
"Go away!" her voice answered.
"Don't let me open the door on you. Nobody likes it when I'm the one who opens the door."
Olive's brows furrowed while trying to understand what he meant by that. However, she tightened her towel and opened the door gently. She stepped out and blew wet hair from her face with her mouth, then she stared at him with an angry pout. That sight was surprisingly very cute to Wayne. He felt a great tingle in his chest and it made him feel uneasy. He turned and walked to his bar, which was a sesame at one side of the large room. Olive watched as he walked there and poured himself a drink.
"Don't try escaping from me again. I don't like being tried," his harsh voice rang across the room. It was so deep it brought shivers to Olive's skin involuntarily. Why was his voice that deep?
"I was trying to save myself. I heard the Big Bad Alpha wasn't one to show mercy."
"Hmm. You heard well. You would have probably been somewhere cold, rock-solid, with your skin torn open and laced with dry blood. And your body lacking a head," he sipped from his wine glass and turned to look at Olive with his face looking ferocious that she had to gulp down nervously.
"But… Unfortunately for me, you turned out to be my long awaited mate. How cute," he gave an evil smile that didn't reach his dark, cold eyes.
"I'm not your mate. You must be mistaken," Olive said with much boldness that she wondered where it came from.
"Oh, really? I'm mistaken?" he asked and dropped his glass at the tall glass table by the bar. He put his hands in his pocket and watched Olive.
"You are. Because I don't feel the same way. If I did, I wouldn't be trying to run away from you."
For a second there, Wayne almost agreed he was mistaken. But he shoved that silly thought off. Never in his life had he been so sure about something like he was sure Olive was his mate. When he first inhaled her scent while he was in the hallway, his mind froze and he stopped walking. It was very strange, yet familiar. He wanted to continue inhaling it, and he got the sudden urge to protect whoever owned that scent. When he finally looked at the prisoner and saw her sitting there all bloodied, he got the worst anger surge of his entire life. He felt like he was the one who was harmed, and he wanted to ki|| them all. He wanted to hold her, tell her not to worry that he'll never hurt her anymore. Plus, his wolf wouldn't stop growling 'Mate' in his head.
"So, since you're insinuating that you're not my mate… what should I do with you?" he asked.
Olive couldn't answer.
'What are you doing?!' her wolf growled at her. She was very angry.
'Don't be a fool!' she yelled and began to force herself out. Her claws jutted out and Olive gasped. She fought her wolf but her fangs lengthened too.
"No, go back," she pleaded out loud and shut her eyes while visibly shaking.
'Admit it! Accept him!'
"No! He's a murderer!" she spilled out and fell to the floor.
"A murderer who almost got murdered by you," Wayne spoke up. His voice seemed to soothe her wolf and she retreated. Olive sighed in relief. She had a really stubborn furry version of her.
"It's past noon already. You must be hungry. I'll order for your lunch to be served right here," and with that, he left the room. Olive was still kneeling on the floor, panting heavily.
"That son of a Ɓîtçh," she mumbled under her breath.
She got on her feet and staggered to the bed. She plumped on it and hugged her arms.
"Mate," she muttered and exhaled. No wonder she loved his scent, his face, and didn't want him to look away from her when he entered that room. He was made for her. Her mate. Olive just couldn't believe the moon goddess had answered her last minute prayers. But…why a man like Wayne?
She heaved another deep sigh and looked around the room. She was feeling cold because of her wet hair on her bare skin, so she needed something to wear. She walked to the room she guessed right as a closet and tried to find something suitable. After spending over thirty minutes ransacking his clothes, she finally found a teddy bear hoodie with his name on it in bold letters and white color. It was a yellow hoodie, and was hidden behind all his clothes. She wouldn't have even found it if it hadn't been a bright color—the only bright color in the closet.
Well, Olive was starving. "Alpha Knight better get that food here quick."
She walked to the very large mirror in the room and stared at her reflection. The hoodie was big for her, but she looked really cute in it. Plus, it was one of her favorite colours.
She stared at his name on it and twitched her lips. Why him of all people? He was bad. She had heard about his atrocities. He was just too bad. Why didn't she get a good guy?
She huffed and covered her head with the hood then turned around. The door to the room opened just then and her heart lit up. But that fire quenched immediately and was replaced by a downcast feeling of darkness as soon as she saw someone else walk into the room. She wanted to see her mate. The mate she just finally agreed was truly her mate. If he admitted it without her telling him, who was she to say she was not correct?
The man who walked in was a medium height, slender but muscled young man. She recognized him immediately. She had personally slashed a broken dish against his handsome face just yesterday.
The young man smiled at her.
"Hi, I'm Jericho," he said.
