Day 8, January 8, 2025
TODAY WAS A NORMAL DAY... or so I thought.
I was studying at the library, trying to catch up on some reading for my literature class. As I was browsing through the shelves, I stumbled upon a familiar face - RM!
I couldn't believe it. What was the leader of BTS doing at my school library?
RM looked up from his book and caught my eye. He smiled and nodded in recognition.
"Bomi, right?" he asked, closing his book.
I nodded, still in shock. "Y-yes, that's me."
RM walked over to me, his eyes scanning the shelves. "I'm glad I ran into you. I'm doing some research for a new song."
I couldn't believe it. RM was working on a new song, and he was doing research at my school library?
As we chatted, I realized that RM was just as kind and down-to-earth as Yoongi. They're both so talented and humble.
Before he left, RM handed me a piece of paper with some lyrics scribbled on it. "What do you think of this?" he asked.
I took the paper, my heart racing. Was I really giving feedback to RM?
As I read through the lyrics, I felt a surge of excitement. This song was going to be amazing!
"You're a genius, RM!" I exclaimed. "These lyrics are incredible!"
RM smiled, looking pleased. "Thanks, Bomi. I'm glad you like them."
With that, he nodded and headed off, leaving me to my studies.
I pulled out my favorite manga and became completely engrossed in it. The characters' adventures were so captivating that I lost track of time.
Just as I was getting to the good part, Ji-Hyun burst into the library, her eyes scanning the room frantically.
But in her haste, she didn't notice RM's books scattered on the floor. She tripped over them and stumbled, almost falling over.
I couldn't help but tease her. "Hey, clumsy! Looks like someone's been taking lessons from me!"
Ji-Hyun glared at me, laughing. "Shut up, Bomi! This is all your fault for distracting me!"
As we helped RM pick up his books, Ji-Hyun spotted a bestselling novel on the shelf.
"Ooh, I've been meaning to read this!" she exclaimed, reaching out for the book.
But RM was also holding the book, and their hands touched briefly as they both reached for it.
The name of the novel was... um... "Somewhere in Between". Yeah, I know, it sounds kinda cliché.
Ji-Hyun raised an eyebrow. "Looks like we both want to read this."
RM smiled and handed the book to Ji-Hyun. "You can have it. I've already read it."
Ji-Hyun's eyes widened in surprise. "Really? What did you think of it?"
RM leaned in, a thoughtful expression on his face. "I think it's a beautiful exploration of the human condition."
I zoned out as they started discussing the book. I mean, I'm happy for Ji-Hyun and all, but literary analysis isn't really my thing.
