Compared to the relatively unknown Ayako, Mizutani Raima was undoubtedly a privileged child of a wealthy family.

Like the Kuroda family, the Mizutani family was highly influential, with significant involvement in industries tied to Pokémon trainers.

Both families had elite trainers among their ranks, but their specialties set them apart. The Kuroda family focused on food products and high-quality Pokéblocks for Fire-type Pokémon. In contrast, the Mizutani family was renowned for their expertise in Electric-type Pokémon.

At this stage, the evolutionary form of Electabuzz had yet to be publicly revealed. However, Tyson, no longer as naive as he once was, suspected it might already exist.

Just like the Fairy-type revelation or the advent of Mega Evolution, it was possible the evolution of Electabuzz had been discovered but withheld for financial gain. When it eventually became public knowledge, trainers would undoubtedly flock to obtain Electabuzz, benefiting companies like the Mizutani family, who specialized in Electric-type products.

Similarly, if a Pokémon gained a Mega Evolution, the Kuroda family's influence and profitability would skyrocket.

This is the reality of the Pokémon world—anything tied to Pokémon often comes with significant economic implications.

It's also why Pokémon researchers hold such prestigious positions. Their discoveries can propel families, corporations, and entire industries into prosperity.

Tyson, however, had no intention of becoming a Pokémon researcher. While his memory and intellect might have made him a formidable one, he felt more at home as a trainer. The path of a researcher, with its uncertainty and the stress of endless study, held no appeal.

At 9 o'clock, the knockout rounds began, with matches drawn randomly.

The big screen displayed Tyson's name and photo first, drawing nervous glances from the other competitors.

When the screen stopped, it revealed his opponent: a slim, slightly nervous boy named William. The two trainers were escorted to the battlefield by staff, where they took their positions.

This time, a transparent energy barrier surrounded the battlefield, shielding the trainers and referee from outside distractions.

On the commentator's stage, a lively host named Freya greeted the audience.

"Hello, everyone! I'm your host, Freya, and you're watching the Silph Corporation-sponsored knockout round, where the top 20 will battle for a spot in the final 10!"

Her sweet voice rang out over the arena as she introduced the competitors.

"In this match, we have Tyson and William, both of whom have delivered spectacular performances in previous rounds. I'm sure today's battle will be no different. Let's see how it unfolds!"

Cheers erupted from the crowd. Some were here to witness the intense battles, while others seemed equally thrilled to see the charming Freya in person.

The referee signaled the start of the match, and both trainers released their Pokémon.

Tyson sent out his Charizard, while William released a Hitmonlee.

Hitmonlee, an evolved form of Tyrogue, had multiple evolutions, much like Eevee. Its variations included Hitmonchan, Hitmontop and Hitmonlee . As a Fighting-type Pokémon, Hitmonlee's biggest disadvantage was against Flying and Psychic-types—One attribute Charizard possessed.

"Hitmonlee, use Fake Out!" William called out, aiming to disrupt Charizard before it could take to the skies.

However, Tyson had anticipated this. "Charizard, Flamethrower!"

Charizard unleashed a jet of flames, cutting off Hitmonlee's advance and forcing it to retreat. Using the opportunity, Charizard gained altitude, securing its aerial advantage.

William clenched his fists. He had observed Tyson's previous matches and knew Charizard was not only powerful but incredibly well-trained. Its mastery of aerial maneuvers and ranged attacks had already overwhelmed several opponents, including Neil's Blaziken.

Still, surrendering wasn't an option. After a moment of hesitation, William decided to press on.

Tyson, however, was in no rush. With Charizard's superior positioning, he maintained a steady pace, using Flamethrower to keep Hitmonlee at bay and periodically building speed with Flame Charge.

William realized the pressure was mounting. Hitmonlee was already sweating profusely from the heat, its stamina rapidly depleting.

"Hitmonlee, use High Jump Kick!" William shouted, hoping to catch Charizard off-guard.

But Tyson saw the move coming. "Charizard, Air Slash!"

Charizard swiftly launched a blade of compressed air, striking Hitmonlee square in the chest. The force of the attack staggered the Fighting-type, leaving it vulnerable.

Tyson seized the opportunity. "Follow up with another Air Slash!"

Two more Air Slashes hit their mark, pushing Hitmonlee further back. Though it managed to block one with Brick Break, the relentless barrage wore it down.

Realizing defeat was inevitable, William hesitated for only a moment before recalling Hitmonlee.

The battle concluded, and Tyson calmly returned Charizard to its Poké Ball. Without gloating or hesitation, he exited the battlefield, leaving a strong impression on the spectators.

Back in the waiting room, murmurs filled the air.

"He's strong, but it's not just about his Pokémon," one competitor said.

"Yeah, his strategies are flawless. He waits patiently for an opening and strikes decisively," another agreed.

Tyson's calm demeanor, sharp tactics, and disciplined approach made him an opponent no one wanted to face in the upcoming rounds.
