I took a step closer to her

My eyes locked on hers.

That's because everyone in this town seems to be hiding something, I said my voice barely above a whisper.

You're not telling me everything.

What are you afraid off? I don't want my family to break apart, try to understand. There are somethings that are best kept as secrets.

She said. I looked away into space and after what seemed like forever she said go and freshen up dinner I'd almost ready.

I felt a pang of guilt for pushing her too hard , but I knew I couldn't let it go.
