Third's POV.
Savanna tried to focus on the warmth of the water surrounding her, the gentle bobbing of the floating orbs lulling her into a state of relaxation. The orbs didn't speak just floated there. Suddenly, an intense heat coursed through her legs, disrupting her peaceful moment. The sensation was alarming; her skin felt like it was on fire, and she instinctively reached down to check what was happening. Unable to cry out in pain because her voice was silent. Not knowing why.
To her horror, the skin looked distorted, as if it were melting away. Panic began to rise within her as the pain intensified, a visceral wave that made her stomach turn. She struggled to comprehend what was happening, but the agony was overwhelming.
Before she could react, the ground beneath her seemed to vanish, and she felt herself plummeting into darkness. Her legs, which had felt like they were melting just moments ago, were now completely immobilized. She looked down in disbelief as they began to fuse together, the sensation both surreal and terrifying.
Savanna gasped, desperately trying to move, but her body betrayed her. The realization hit her like a cold wave—she was trapped in a nightmarish transformation, unable to escape the merging of her lower limbs. The world around her faded, replaced by the burning sensation and the deafening silence of her inability to cry out.
Sean's POV
Molly spoke first " um… you guys!" Brooke turned to look in the direction Molly was pointing. "Something's wrong with Savanna!" Brooke shouted at us!Molly began to sop again "Savanna she cried out" she tried to touch her but her skin was too hot to touch. "What's happening!" Brooke questioned. I turn my attention to Savanna. Zander turns to me. "What did you do?" He questions in an accusatory tone. "What makes you think I did this, your the one with magic and that looks like magic to me! I shout. "What the heck is going on!" The human girls shout at us together. " We turn towards them ripping our gaze from Savanna. " How should we know ! we shout back. Zander took a deep breath, trying to temper his frustration. "Look, we don't know what's happening to Savanna right now," he said, his voice steady but urgent. "But this isn't something we can ignore. We need to figure out what is happening. "We should bring her body into the water" I suggest. "Her skin is scaling hot. " I add.
Molly, still sobbing, pointed helplessly at Savanna. "I—I don't understand! She had definitely died but look her chest is rising and falling like she's breathing but it's too fast".
"We need to get her in the off the water!" Zander exclaims his eyes glowing. "What are you seeing right now, Zander! I know it's your foresight!" I demand answers. " Not right now! Sean, Savanna's breathing again and that comes first unless you would rather her stop again." Zander says bluntly. I can feel my anger swirling in my eyes. "Obviously I don't want that!" I shout glaring at him.
Brooke nodded, determination replacing some of her panic. "Okay, but how? We can't just push her out to sea, if she's unconscious like this." Brooke questioned. "she's still too hot for us to touch." Molly added wiping the remaining tears from her eyes.
"I don't know yet," Zander admitted, frustration seeping into his tone. "But we have to try something. We can't leave her like this."
Brooke took a deep breath, steadying herself. "Alright, I have an idea, Molly take your T-shirt off. We need to work together." She turned to the guys while taking her tank tops off. "Wrap your shirt around your hands" she says to Molly. Zander and I stare at the shirtless girls in utter confusion. "We will push her back into the water as much as we can. but you will have to pull her the rest of the way in" Brooke gives us directions.
Zander nodded. "Alright." I say going as close as I can to Savanna. Please be okay. We have so much left to experience. Stay with us Savanna, I need you. My heart aches, not knowing what is happening and how to fix it is weighing heavily on me.
