As the memories surged back, clarity mixed with panic. "My necklace! It had changed to a deep red, and I could no longer breathe underwater without it. I was drowning!" I exclaimed, the recollection flooding my senses. "Sean was rushing me up to the surface, and then… oh my God, Sean! Where is he?" My voice rose with urgency, the fear cracking my voice. Tears threading to fall with the shock of it all.
In that moment, the weight of realization settled heavily on my chest. I had died in his arms. I could almost feel the echo of his grip, the desperation in his eyes as he fought to save me. The image of my soul separating from my body flickered in my mind, followed by the vision of the spirit realm—a place adorned with three glowing orbs: one pink, one purple, and one red, all surrounded by shimmering golden hues. I began to cry quietly at first, however the that proofed to difficult a task.
The room fell silent as my breath quickened, my heart racing with the implications of what I had experienced. I looked around, finding my friends, searching their faces for answers, but all I found was the same confusion mirrored in their expressions.
"Where is he?" I repeated, my voice softer now, tinged with fear and longing. The reality of my situation started to sink in, the uncertainty weighing heavily on me.
Sean's POV.
We were gathered in the common area of the medical wing of the castle, discussing the sudden transformations the girls had undergone. The atmosphere was tense, filled with a mix of curiosity and concern. Zander sat quietly, his brow furrowed, and I could sense that he was holding something back. His fingers drummed nervously against the armrest of his chair, and I wondered what thoughts were swirling in his mind.
As we talked, the conversation ebbed and flowed, floating between theories and speculations about what these changes meant for all of us. Just as I began to feel a sense of understanding, a piercing scream shattered the air. It was Savanna.
Without thinking, I jumped to my feet, adrenaline surging through me. Ignoring the unspoken rules of privacy and protocol, I dashed toward her room, propelled by instinct and concern. I swam through the corridor, my heart racing, wondering what could have caused such a frantic outburst.
When I reached her door, I paused for a brief moment, gathering my thoughts. I could hear her sobbing from within, and the urgency of the situation pushed me to act. Then i heard her ask about me. That was all it took. I threw open the door without hesitation, ready to offer whatever support she needed in that moment. "I'm right here!"
