Huxley is a teenage tomboy who would always appreciate her own space. And her own space sure comprises of her best friend "Atlas". And maybe Atlas was the only one in her own space.
Atlas indeed is a loving best friend. Even though he has a girlfriend "Lucy", his love for Huxley was a different shade of it all.
Huxley collapsed on her reading Chair and took up her phone at once and to be welcomed with pictures of Atlas. His bright smile sent her smiling also. She began to swipe through the library of his photos. She was enjoying her time when she came across a picture of him and his girl
She's definition of real beauty right? Right!
She is way preferable than me, since I'm just a tomboy trash. Huxley told herself.
Was she always comfortable with looking at pictures of Atlas and his girlfriend together? Is she happy with their relationship?
Yea. Sure she has to be. Since she's happy with what ever Atlas is happy with.
Looking at Lucy's face. It was like hell on earth.
Huxley remembered the first day Atlas introduced her to his girlfriend. She could remember those cliche unpleasant look in those black eyes of her's. And with those stares she let out a bad killer smile. But Huxley couldn't really swear that she meant the smile to be that bad killer smile she knows, maybe because of the statement Lucy made afterwards.
"Nice to meet you Huxley, I'm hoping you would like me so well because of my boyfriend's friend is definitely my friend". She said and all three of them laughed that day.
Not so long later, a notification hit her phone screen.
..."hey Hux...mind hanging out at my place tonight?". It was her buddy's text.
" Uh..sure. Lucy would be there right?"
"...yea, and a few other people. M sure you don't mind".
Yes. She didn't mind. But can she just, not go again?
For one reason or another she doesn't like the atmosphere when she is with Lucy in the same room. No matter what, she could always see how much Lucy doesn't want friendliness with her.
