Lucy stop it. That's not how to talk to her.
Right.... your best friend. But Atlas, I'm the one who is your girlfriend here so why do you treat her like a queen? A real queen, but me? How do you treat me? A mere girlfriend.
You make it seem as if you were forced on me.
Uhh Atlas, I think I should escuse you guys for a while. Huxley said and made to leave when Lucy grabbed her by her wrist pulling her back.
You can't leave cause you....you are the main problem here. You can't just leave the room. You have to get out of his life completely. I'm the only one important to him. Okey?
So just leave. Get the hell outta his life. Lucy lost control of her words totally spilling out what she was not supposed to say when Atlas was there.
Lucy stop it. What has gotten over you? Haven't I told you? That she is my best friend. I can't cut her out of my life.
And that is the problem. Don't you think she's going to fall for you?
Atlas and every other human went quite for a while.
What if it was true? What if Huxley now likes him? Was that what he wanted? Was that what he has been waiting for?
And Huxley? What was she thinking? Did she ever think something like this would happen? Was it ever her dream?
Has she ever thought of him romantically? Despite how hot and handsome he is, was he now only just a friend to her? Maybe that was what reality made him like to her, because he has a girlfriend.
She is respecting his love life enough to let go off a romantic desire?
Well? Say something Huxley. You like him don't you?
Huxley could feel her eyes already watery. Why was mere words hurting her now when it has never hurt her before?
For the first time Atlas saw her watery eyes.
With no word Huxley left the room. Sure anyone would expect Atlas to go after her but Lucy had stopped him.
Huxley ran down the stairs and mistakenly bumped into Mrs Dayton.
Huxley are you leaving?
Y-yes....I'm ahh....
Are you going somewhere?
Not really. Just heading home. She tried to conceal the pain.
Oh dearie. Can you come with me to the temple? To say a word of thanks to god?
M-mrs Dayton. I'm sorry but I'm not religious.
Oh Hux. My apologies, you are just like Atlas. I forget. I'm sorry about that.
Huxley forced a chuckle. No big deal about that ....
