Chereads / BOUND TO THE BILLIONAIRE CEO / Chapter 57 - CHAPTER 57

Chapter 57 - CHAPTER 57

Avery never expected that she would end up in danger with Julian because of her own mistake, just as they were about to reach the eleventh floor.

If she fell, she would be fine, at most bedridden for ten or fifteen days. But Julian was just a little child...

She couldn't bear to think of the consequences.

As her body uncontrollably fell towards the ground, Avery quickly used the few seconds she had to free her hand and pull Julian from behind, trying to place her on the step below her feet.

Just then, Rose, who had come up in the elevator with the doctors and nurses, came over.

When she saw that Avery was about to fall, she was so scared that she almost lost her nerve. At the critical moment, she quickly reached out to hold Julian.

Just as she picked up Julian ,there was a loud bang, and Avery had already tumbled down the stairs, rolling all the way to the flat ground at the corner below before finally coming to a stop.

"Oh my God! Miss Wells, are you okay?" Rose saw Avery fall with her own eyes, and seeing her lying there unable to get up for a long time, she was also frightened and wanted to go down with Julian.

But before that, Avery stopped her. Take Julian to get help first. I'm fine, go quickly, don't worry about me."

"Okay, I'll take him first and come back to see you later." Thinking of Julian's critical condition, Rose didn't delay and quickly left with him

After Rose left, Avery sat on the ground, unable to recover for a while.

Who knows how she feels now? She fell directly from above and hit her head and bones hard on the cement steps during the process. She was in pain all over her body.

She didn't even have the strength to cry out in pain. She just sat on the ground for about five or six minutes. When the pain in her body finally eased a bit, she supported herself and stood up from the ground.

When she stood up, she saw blood stains on her clothes. She wiped her nose and found blood on her sleeves. It was then that she realized that she had a nosebleed from the fall.

At this time, a nurse came from the corner of the stairs on the eleventh floor. "Miss, you just brought the child here, right? Go to the first floor and pay first. The child needs to be hospitalized."

"Oh, okay, I'll go down and pay now."

Avery took out a tissue from her pocket, wiped the blood off her nose, and went down to the first floor.

It was only when she saw got to the first floor that she realized that the caretaker had forgotten to bring money when she left.

She paid the money and had trouble filling out the patient information form because she didn't know the child's full name. So she had to ask the caretaker.

In the end,Rose filled out the form, and Avery paid the money. She didn't pay much attention to the name on the form. After putting the form away, she went back to the eleventh floor with Rose and sat on the blue chair outside the emergency room, anxiously waiting for the result.

Soon, Ethan and Lena arrived at the hospital together.

"How is he doing? Has he come out yet?" Ethan asked anxiously.

When the caretaker saw Ethan arrive, she stood up like a drowning person clutching at a straw. "Third Young Master, you've finally come. Young Master's condition is very serious. They're still trying to save him inside."

As long as Third Young Master was here, everything would be resolved.

Of course, Rose knew very well that it was her fault for not taking good care of Young Master. He had been infected with chickenpox for several days before it was discovered today.

Ethan strode towards the emergency room and frowned at the red light on the door. He turned around and glared at the caretaker fiercely.

Just as she lowered her head, thinking that Third Young Master was going to hold her accountable, his question was not directed at her.

"What's going on? Whose blood is this?" The caretaker suddenly looked up and saw that Third Young Master was actually asking Avery. She breathed a sigh of relief.

She couldn't bear Third Young Master's anger.

To divert his attention, before Avery could speak, she took the initiative to step forward and said, "Third Young Master, don't worry, this isn't Young Master's blood."

"I didn't ask you." Ethan's cold gaze swept over Avery's blood-stained clothes, especially the large patch on the cuffs, which was shocking.

His voice was even colder than his eyes: "What's going on? Speak!"

The increase in decibels was obviously a sign that he was about to lose his temper.

Rose dared not speak again, looking at Avery anxiously. Every time this happened, Third Master would get angry, and she was worried that Avery, who had saved the young master, might also get scolded.

At this moment, Lena had just come out of the elevator and saw the blood on Avery's clothes from afar. What was even more heartbreaking was that her head and hands were either scraped or bruised.

What happened? Wasn't it said that Julian had shock from chickenpox and passed out? How did this girl end up like this?

Thinking about it, Lena quickened his pace and came to Ethan's side.

Ignoring Rose's greeting, Lena also frowned and looked at Avery. "Ethan asked you a question. Just tell the truth. Who caused these injuries?"

"No, Auntie, it's not caused by anyone," Avery gritted her teeth and stood up, not daring to look into Ethan's eyes.

She was afraid that Lena would misunderstand, so she explained in a low voice, "I fell by myself. When I was taking Julian up, the elevator was stuck, so I took the stairs. I accidentally fell down and got hurt like this."

As she spoke, she secretly glanced at Ethan's reaction.

Seeing the man's face turn dark and scary, and afraid that he would misunderstand that it was Julian who was injured, she quickly added, "But Mr. Blackwood, Auntie, don't worry. This is my own blood. Julian is fine. The caretaker happened to arrive and took Julian away. I was the only one who fell. Really, I'm not lying to you."

With a pleading look, she turned to the caretaker.

Although the caretaker was afraid to speak, she couldn't remain silent at this point.

"Third Master, Third Madam, what Miss Wells said is true. When she fell, she couldn't get up for a long time. Young Master Julian is really fine."

Hearing this, Lena furrowed her brows and went to check Avery's body.

"You're so foolish. Why didn't you take the elevator and insisted on taking the stairs? You should have been more careful. This time you only got a minor injury, but what if you fell and died? Do you want to leave me with a reputation of being a wife-killer?"

After checking her body, Lena seemed to breathe a sigh of relief.

"Okay, it's good that you're fine. Be more careful next time."

Although Lena's words were somewhat reproachful, Avery did not resist: "Okay, I will. I'm sorry for making you worry, Auntie."

In the distance, Ethan looked coldly at Avery's obedient response. He thought about how this woman was still emphasizing that Julian was not injured at this time, and his frowning eyebrows became even more stern.

"Follow me!"
