Chapter 77 - Meeting

The city of Seoul buzzed with its usual energy, the neon lights of skyscrapers cutting through the darkness of the night. The air was thick with anticipation, for the day was drawing near when new forces would converge, forces that would change the fate of the world.

At Incheon Airport, the arrival gate was bustling as passengers disembarked from flights. Among them, a lone figure emerged, his presence commanding attention despite the sea of people. Dave Igneel stepped off the plane, his eyes scanning the horizon, sunglasses shielding his gaze from the harsh lights of the terminal.

With a confident stride, he walked past the crowd, drawing curious stares from onlookers. His scars told a story of battles fought, his worn military attire spoke of a life lived on the edge. Yet, it was his aura—the sheer presence of a warrior who had seen countless wars—that set him apart from the rest.

He made his way toward the waiting transportation, his thoughts focused on the task ahead. He had come to find the 5 Saviours, the legendary warriors whose names had echoed through history. He didn't know them personally, but he knew they were the key to what was coming.

Back in Gok's office, the weight of the message from Dave Igneel still hung in the air. Gok stood before his desk, his hand resting on the blade of his Infinity Sword. The last few months had been peaceful, but deep within him, he knew something was stirring—a new player had entered the game, and this time, it wasn't someone from their world.

His mind wandered back to his time in the Blossom Dimension, to the sacrifices made and the people who had fallen. Sung Min Ki was alive again, Whitepalm was gone, and the world had been forever changed. But what was coming now? And how was Dave Igneel connected to all of this?

His thoughts were interrupted by a sharp knock on the door.

Gok (gruffly):

"Enter."

The door creaked open, and Wu-Ji stepped inside, his expression as serious as ever.

Wu-Ji:

"Gok, we need to talk. There's something happening that we can't ignore. The atmosphere is... changing."

Gok looked up from his sword, his sharp eyes narrowing as he took in Wu-Ji's tense posture.

Gok:

"What do you mean?"

Wu-Ji (hesitantly):

"Dave Igneel... he's on his way here. I'm not sure how he knew about us, but I'm certain he's coming for a reason."

Gok's expression hardened.

Gok:

"So it begins."

The night was still young when Dave Igneel arrived at a secluded location in Seoul, where he had arranged to meet the 5 Saviours. His heart beat steadily, but his mind was racing. He had spent years fighting alone, relying only on his own strength. Now, he would face the people whose legends had shaped the world he now knew.

He stood in the shadow of a towering building, awaiting their arrival. The air felt thick with tension, as though the universe itself was holding its breath.

And then, the figures appeared.

First came Wu-Ji, his presence commanding, followed closely by King D, the ever-vigilant warrior who never rested. Behind them, Monkey and Rat appeared, their faces calm but their postures ready for battle. And finally, at the center of them all, was Gok—the Prime Minister, the leader of the 5 Saviours.

They stood in front of Dave, sizing him up, each of them aware of the gravity of this moment.

Gok (speaking first):

"You're Igneel. The one who's been causing ripples across the dimensions. What is it you want?"

Dave's eyes narrowed as he met Gok's gaze. He had heard of this man, of his legacy. But now that they stood face-to-face, he understood why Gok had been called the Saviour.

Dave:

"I've come to stop what's coming. The Sleeves, the forces beyond our world, they've already begun their move. But I don't trust you yet. I don't know if you're the ones who will protect humanity, or if you're part of the problem."

The tension between them was palpable. Wu-Ji's golden sword hummed, and King D's massive warhammer seemed to crackle with energy, ready to swing at a moment's notice.

King D:

"You think you can just waltz in here and tell us what to do? We've been through hell to protect this world. What makes you so sure you're any different?"

Dave's hand instinctively went to the hilt of his own weapon, but he didn't draw it. Not yet.

Dave (coolly):

"I'm not here to fight you. But if you stand in my way, I'll do what needs to be done. I've faced threats that none of you have ever seen, and I'll face them again if I have to."

Rat (leaning forward, voice low):

"You speak like you know more than us. But you don't. We've been on the front lines since the beginning. So tell me, Igneel... what makes you think you have the answers?"

Dave's response was calm, his voice carrying a weight that only years of experience could provide.

Dave:

"Because I've been to the places you haven't. I've seen what's out there, and I know that there's more to this world than you understand."

The conversation was about to escalate into something more when Monkey stepped forward, his deep voice cutting through the tension.

Monkey (smiling softly):

"Enough. The time for talking is over. We've all seen enough bloodshed to know when action is needed."

Gok:

"He's right. We've been preparing for this day, and now it's here. Whether we trust him or not, Dave Igneel's strength is undeniable. We'll need it in the days to come."

Dave's eyes flicked to each of them, taking in their faces. There was no doubt in his mind that they were warriors, but he also knew that their experience alone wouldn't be enough to stop the impending threat.

Dave (nodding):

"Then I'll prove myself to you. But first, we need to focus. The Sleeves aren't waiting. And I'm not here to make friends. I'm here to win."

With that, the tension between them shifted, the unspoken understanding that they were allies now, even if the trust was still to be earned.
