Synopsis

Prologue

Atop a large mountain, at its very peak, a battle between world breakers had commenced.

-Klang!

The sound of swords clashing rippled throughout the dense air.

"Demon God! Give up and kneel!"

"If you give up now, we won't have to slaughter you and your people!"

The Demon God.

A man who will do anything for power.

He slaughtered his own family to use their blood and body for sacrificial power.

He destroyed towns and villages to absorb their feelings of death.

The Chaotic God didn't have an ounce of care in him.

"Give up? Kneel?..."

The clashing of swords stopped.

"Why the hell would I do that?"

"What do you mean? You'll have to! Because you're going to lose!"

The Demon God clicked his tongue.

He ran his fingers through his black, healthy hair.

"The only way I will lose...is through death!"

-Woosh!

-Clang!

-Clang!

He dashed at one of the levitating men in robes.

While moving at breakneck speeds, a dark blade materializes and connects with the blade of his opponent.

"Tch! D-Damn you...!"

'We've been fighting for 2 days and 2 nights, yet he still has enough internal and external strength to rival the both of us.'

"What? Lost in thought?!"

-Clang!

-Woosh!

-Bam!

The Chaotic God swung his sword down at the man, sending him flying backward and crashing into the side of the mountain.

"Kagh!"

The man in the divine-looking robes coughed up blood and struggled to regain his balance.

"Just where the hell is he getting that strength from? Is this truly the power of the Demon God?"

"Stop looking away! Get slashed by my blade and die, you monk!"

-Slash!

-Clink!

-Shnnn!

The monk went to deflect his slash but failed as he was kicked back and sent sliding across the air.

'That aura around his blade...is it..?'

The Demon God stood with his black blade in hand, his red robes flowing in the dense winds.

A dark-reddish aura slowly surrounded his blade, making it even darker.

-Shing!

-Shing!

-Shing!

Sharp and quick slashes of demonic energy were sent through the air at the monk.

"N-No! GAHH!"

He went to dodge, but the slashes were far too fast and sent him flying into the mountain alongside the other one.

The Demon God let out mirthful laughter.

"HAHAHAHA!"

"Fools. Did you think you could beat me? In this world, I have no equal. And you 2 were far too weak to fight me. You should have brought 100 of you."

-Crackle

The sound of something shattering rebounded within the Demon God's ears.

He turned around to see the sky had cracked.

He flew up slightly, curious as to what was happening.

-Shatter!

The shards of the sky descended and turned to nothing.

A divine glow touched the lands, leaving behind a delightful golden look.

The Demon God heard the sound of singing.

In a troupe, divine beings stepped out of the shatter in the sky.

Endowed in stark-white attire, their blades and weapons to match.

"Tch."

The Demon God clicked his tongue, a vein appearing on his forehead out of spite.

"I guess you bastards chose to finally stop being cowards and come fight me?"

A mighty voice roared to respond:

"Watch your words, Demon God. I wish to be cordial l with you and not fight. But, if I must—we will."

"You act humble. But In honesty, you're just a wuss."

The Demon God Taunted.

The divine being clenched his jaw, keeping up an unbothered smile.

"You sure know how to use your words."

The Demon God quickly retorted:

"Yeah, when you're the strongest you can say what you want."

"The strongest? Do you truly believe you're the strongest? The upper gods are rolling on the floor laughing at your arrogance."

"It isn't arrogance. More like confidence, you shitty god."

The divine being couldn't hold back his animosity any longer.

"You have brought this upon yourself."

He raised his hand in a chopping motion.

A golden aura surrounded his hand, before a giant sword made of pure aura raised along with his arm.

-Woosh!

'I depleted a bit too much energy fighting those stupid monks for 2 days. Who knew they had that legendary artifact?'

The Demon God used his energy to dodge the giant slash of raw power.

-Doom!

-Bam!

-Crash!

Hearing the loud sounds of destruction, he turned.

He found the array of mountains in the last 5 Kilometers to have been perfectly sliced in half, causing avalanches and earthquakes.

The Demon God felt sweat flow down his left cheek.

Was it fear?

No.

A wide ear-to-ear grin appeared on his face.

"I'm excited."

As the divine being walked out of the shattered hole in the sky, a troupe of face-covered beings followed.

"It seems to be around 30 of them. Dammit, I don't think even I can defeat them all. I might be able to kill a few, but then I have to bail."

-Shing!

A golden slash flew past the Demon God's face, leaving a small mark.

"I can sense your fear."

"Fear? Do you think I fear you? There isn't a single entity that lives, that I, The Demon God fears!"

"Is that so? Then today you will experience fear."

So began a long battle of survival for The Demon God.

He fended against a rain of golden blades, organ-wrenching sound waves, island-destroying sword slashes, and other divine attacks.

After 12 hours of fighting, the demon god fell.

He had only managed to kill 3 of those masked divine beings.

And the main one he wanted to slaughter didn't have a single scar on him or his clothing.

The Demon god crashed into the snowy fields of a cliff.

"Dammit. Those stupid monks! If only I hadn't fought them and got attacked with that stupid artifact, I would have easily killed all of those bastards!"

3 shattered ribs, a dislocated shoulder, 5 bone-scraping slash wounds on his back, a broken leg, and a shattered hand, this was the current state of the demon god.

"I thought you were the strongest? Why are you groveling now?"

The demon god clenched his teeth, gripping the handle of his blade.

"Shut it. You damned coward, you waited until I was at my weakest to come and fight me along with 30 people like you."

"Don't make excuses. If you were the strongest then you would have gotten out of it."

'I can't believe this. I did so much to get where I am. I did things that nobody would have ever thought of. Yet I'm going to die a dog's death?'

"I don't want to risk you reincarnating, so I'm going to seal you."

"Of course you are. Because you're scared!"

"Maybe I am. But you're the one on your knees dying. So who's winning?"

The Demon god clutched his side, thinking of his life up until now.

5 people surrounded him, creating a formation.

Then a golden array was placed beneath him.

Thick, glowing chains tied him to the ground.

"Gah!"

"It was fun while it lasted. See you, never."

"....."

"I will get out. I don't care how long it takes. I will kill you, and everyone you love. And then I will kill all of those upper gods who planned this, and then I will go to the afterlife, and kill you again!"

A kind smile on the divine being's face, he said:

"...How nice. I hope you succeed in that."

"You..!"

Darkness.

A vast darkness.

Wrapped in golden chains, to a infinite platform, was the Demon God.

It had been 6,665 years since.

His rage was far from gone.

And his wrath was far from over.
