"Don't panic, you're just fine."
A hand was placed on the broken and bruised Kenjiro.
'Wasn't planning on it.'
The nurse spoke to him, a sympathetic tone in her voice as she said:
"We tried to find a contact for a parent or guardian but couldn't locate anybody. Do you have anybody you can call?"
'Looking through this kid's memories, I don't find anything.'
"No. I don't have anybody to call."
'How unfortunate, this boy truly lives a sad life.' The nurse thought.
As the nurse finished her check-up, she left the room to let him rest.
'Just what place is this? I've never been to such a place like this. Everything feels advanced.'
Kenjiro then got a sudden realization.
"...The future? Possibly, but just how far into the future? If it's been too long, then my plan on killing those bastards may already be over."
He sighed.
'Before that, I have to get this body in good condition. Half of me is broken.'
A hot feeling started to well up in his lower abdomen.
Before a dark energy became visible as it engulfed his body in an outline.
'Demonic Energy. I still remember how to utilize it even without the correct foundation.'
'It won't heal me instantly, but it will surely speed up the process.'

"What do you mean he tried to kill himself?!" The blonde beauty said.
"You heard me! The bastard went and jumped off his balcony!"
His bullies, in distraught argued over the topic.
"Dammit! What if he left a note? What if It's discovered and we're deemed responsible for his suicide?"
A deeper voice spoke up.
"Calm down."
It was Kenjiro's main bully, the tattooed athlete.
"Even if he did, it won't be enough evidence to convict us. And besides, even if they did come to put us in cuffs, we have the daughter of a rich CEO on our side."
They turned to the violet-haired girl.
She sighed, "I suppose I can help if it comes down to it."
They all smiled as she offered her assistance.
The low-cut brown-haired male spoke just a moment later:
"And if you guys think about It, his death hasn't been confirmed. Maybe he's not dead, just hurt?"
"Yeah, that could be a possibility."
***
It's been 3 days since the Demon God woke up in his new body.
"Is this even possible? How can someone with a shattered body like his heal this quickly?"
The doctors looked at X-rays and other reports as they examined the body of Kenjiro.
"His bones aren't broken, if anything they're stronger than ever."
"This is supernatural, a miracle even."
Kenjiro remained stoic as they examined him.
'In just 3 or so days my body is almost completely healed. By tomorrow I can be discharged from this place.'
-Creak
The door to the room swung open as a nurse came in.
"Sir Kenjiro, the head doctor would like to speak with you after this is done."
He nodded.
"...Alright."
-
Kenjiro sat before an aged man, from his eyes alone he could tell this man was an expert in this field.
The doctor removed his glasses, fixed his hair, and tidied up his desk a bit before clamping his hands together.
"So, how are you feeling?" He asked Kenjiro.
"I'm fine. Ready to leave as well."
The doctor chuckled.
"I understand. But, this is truly a miracle. I mean, just 3 days ago anybody could look at you and say that you may never walk again."
—"But now...you're sitting right in front of me, nearly ready to go home."
"What did you call me here for?"
"Honestly, I just want to know...why did you do it?"
"Do what?..."
"Attempt to kill yourself."
'After looking through this kid's memories, I know full well why he did it. He lived a miserable life, and the last half a year didn't make it any better.'
Kenjiro then responded:
"Because I was sick and tired."
"...Of what? Life itself, or...something else?"
"Everything. Does that answer your question?"
'It seems he isn't ready to reveal everything.' The Doctor thought.
"...Yes. It does. You're free to report back to your room, I'll call some assistance for you."
-
Kenjiro sat on his hospital bed.
In a lotus position, he began to cause a dark energy to swirl.
Thus began his core forming.
'Any normal cultivator would have formed their core with pure energy after months of gathering. But I'm not your normal cultivator. Dark energy is all I need. And luckily for me, dark energy is everywhere as well.'
"Human malice. Sadness, anger, rage, death, all of these things cause darkness energy to thrive. And as long as these things exist, I can grow infinitely stronger."
His body was surrounded by a dark misty aura, and slowly but surely the dark energy gathered in his lower abdomen in a spiral.
Thus hours passed, and when It was finally over he found himself in a sweat pool.
"This kid's body, it's so frail. Yet when it comes to gathering energy, it's the complete opposite. Perhaps the reason he is so frail is because his body is too great for his own good, and it needs extra to be used at its full potential."
Kenjiro stood on the cold floor of the room.
With speed and proficiency, he started to perform movements of a martial art.
-Swish!
-Thwack!
-Woosh!
Strong swings, kicks, and killing intent, this was the way of the Demon God.
With each move he made, the stronger the dark energy grew.
'This place is a gold mine of dark energy. It so much sadness, anger, and death present in this hospital.'
"I'll gather as much energy as possible while I'm here."
12 hours had passed, and he was yet to stop.
Every time someone came to check in on him, he would stop his movements and pretend to be sleeping or relaxing.
And once they left, he began again.
"If I had to determine my strength...I would say I'm as strong as a third-rank martial artist right about now."
Martial artists were determined in ranks through power.
Three bottom ranks:
Amateur Martial Artist.
Intermediate Martial Artist.
Third-Rate Martial Artists.
Middle Ranks:
Advanced Third-Rate Martial Artists.

Advanced Second-Rate Martial Artist.

Master Martial Artists.
And lastly, Peak Master martial artists.
These are the known ranks of those in the mortal plane.
"I still have a long way to go."
