Chapter 29
The fatigue from the combat trial had left Lucia very exhausted.
She was sitting outside the lodge, stretching out her aching limbs as the cool breeze helped her skin as well.
The pack had finally acknowledged her, but the thoughts of what was coming next was really heavy on her.
She was not just fighting for any acceptance anymore. She was fighting for survival.

"You look like you have won the whole world," Astrid commented, smirking.
"Thanks for the support." Lucia rolled her eyes.
"I don't waste energy on compliments. You won, didn't you?"
Astrid stepped closer, bending beside her.
"Yeah. Kind of." Lucia nodded, exhaling.
"It does not matter how close it was. A win is a win, but that is not even why I'm here." Astrid tilted her head.
