Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: A True Man Should Squeeze Every Drop Out of Monsters

Parasitic Beasts—creatures originating from a niche, grotesque anime in Lin Moze's past life.

These monsters initially appeared as spores, hatching into larvae with extremely limited lifespans.

The larvae would seek out a host's brain, quickly merging with and taking control of the host's body.

Once assimilation with the host's cells was complete, the creature could morph its body at will—typically forming muscle-fiber whips and razor-sharp blades.

If they failed to parasitize the brain, the larvae could settle for other parts of the body.

In that anime, the protagonist had his right hand parasitized by such a creature.

Because of this, Lin Moze couldn't be certain if the parasitic beast he encountered was a dimensional invader or some summoned creature drawn by a "Savior" from a starter pack.

But frankly, it didn't matter.

Lin Moze had to have it.

If he devoured this parasitic beast, he'd surely gain an exceptionally powerful weapon.

Lin Moze pointed toward a specific direction and instructed the three boys:

"The wall between the schoolyard and the back gate has fewer Kabane due to ongoing roadwork outside.

Stop by the convenience store for water and food.

After that, you're on your own."

Without waiting for their reactions, Lin Moze turned and disappeared around the corner, scaling the wall to the rooftop.

The three boys exchanged nervous glances.

Then they rushed after him—only to find nothing when they rounded the corner.

"Could he really be a superhuman?" one of them muttered in disbelief.

Lin Moze didn't care what the boys thought.

He had already arrived at the front gate.

Sure enough, just as the third boy had warned, there stood a Kabane with its legs twisted unnaturally.

From a glance, it looked harmless—just another zombie-like creature.

Lin Moze tensed.

His steel armor spread across his body.

With a burst of speed, he charged the creature.

But the Kabane wasn't slow.

Its left arm morphed into a whip of pink muscle fibers, snapping toward Lin Moze's head like a venomous snake.

Lin Moze's reflexes, enhanced by the Blacklight Virus and his natural abilities, kicked in.

Time seemed to slow down.

He dodged the strike and grabbed the whip, trying to tear it apart.

But the whip extended, dispersing the force of his pull.

Suddenly, sharp blades sprouted from the point of contact.

Clang!

The blades scraped against his armor, sparking briefly before the whip recoiled.

Lin Moze glanced at the scratches on his palm.

With a thought, the armor repaired itself.

He didn't underestimate the Kabane.

In the anime, these bladed whips could slice through steel with ease.

Without his armor, he might have lost a hand just now.

But Lin Moze wasn't planning to end the fight quickly.

The parasitic beast was the perfect sparring partner.

Before devouring it, he intended to squeeze every last bit of value out of this battle.

"A real man squeezes monsters for all they're worth!"

Lin Moze used the Kabane's slow movements against it, launching hit-and-run attacks.

Sure, he could have overpowered it outright and punched through its heart, but that would waste a valuable opportunity.

He treated the fight like a training simulation, dodging and counterattacking to sharpen his reflexes.

The parasitic beast fought back, its whip-arm rapidly extending and retracting to attack and defend.

It left scratches on Lin Moze's armor, forcing him to retreat, heal, and attack again.

With each round, Lin Moze adapted, learning the beast's attack patterns and reaction times.

Finally, after dodging another whip strike, Lin Moze grabbed the blade, snapping it in half.

With a flick of his wrist, he hurled the broken blade toward the Kabane's heart.

The parasitic beast barely managed to block the attack by retracting its whip-arm.

But Lin Moze was already in position.

As the whip defended, Lin Moze closed in and punched toward the heart.

The Kabane panicked.

Its whip-arm coiled around Lin Moze like a python, dozens of spikes jutting out and ready to impale him.

Lin Moze jumped, dodging the attack and vaulting over the Kabane.

Before it could turn, he struck.

Boom!

Lin Moze's fist tore through the Kabane's back, shattering its heart.

The parasitic beast had no time for a final struggle.

Black and red tendrils erupted from Lin Moze's arm, consuming both the Kabane and its parasite.

The battle ended as quickly as it began.

Lin Moze stood amid the blood and carnage, absorbing his prize.

The power of the parasitic beast now flowed through his veins.

He clenched his fist, feeling the strength surge.

"A true man doesn't just fight monsters—he takes their power and thrives."

Lin Moze grinned.

The hunt was just beginning.
