In the heart of her darkened fortress, Raven stood before a massive scrying pool, its surface swirling with ominous shadows. The image of the fallen guardian flickered across the water, followed by the triumphant faces of Amara and her companions.
Her crimson eyes burned with fury. The pendant's light had grown stronger, and with it, so had Amara.
"They've taken another shard," Raven hissed, her voice cold and venomous. She clenched her fists, her nails digging into her palms. "This cannot continue."

Summoning Vyrak
A shadow moved behind her, coalescing into the form of Vyrak. His massive, winged frame loomed in the dim light, his fiery eyes gleaming with anticipation.
"You summoned me, Mistress?" he rumbled, his deep voice echoing in the chamber.
Raven turned to face him, her expression sharp. "Amara has claimed the second shard. She grows stronger, and her companions are becoming a nuisance."
Vyrak's wings twitched, and a sinister grin spread across his face. "Shall I deal with them, then? Tear them apart one by one?"
Raven shook her head. "Not yet. They've proven resourceful. A direct attack might not be enough."
She waved a hand over the scrying pool, and the image shifted to show a map of the land. A glowing mark appeared where the next shard rested, deep within the Crystal Caverns.
"They'll head here next," Raven said, her voice dripping with malice. "The shard's guardian is formidable, but I won't rely on it alone."

A Sinister Plan
Raven paced the chamber, her mind racing. "We need to weaken them, sow doubt and discord. They're bound together by fragile trust, especially Amara. Exploit that."
Vyrak nodded, his grin widening. "I can send my wraiths to haunt their path, whispering lies into their ears. Or perhaps an ambush to pick off the weakest one."
Raven considered this, then smirked. "No. I have something better in mind."
She gestured, and a figure stepped from the shadows—a woman cloaked in black, her face hidden by a veil. Her presence was unsettling, her aura dripping with malice.
"The Whisperer," Raven said, addressing the newcomer. "You will follow them. Enter their dreams, their thoughts. Turn their fears against them. Break their unity from within."
The Whisperer bowed, her voice a soft, chilling whisper. "It will be done, Mistress."
---
Raven's Resolve
As the Whisperer vanished into the shadows, Raven turned back to Vyrak. "And you will prepare your forces. When the time comes, I want them crushed. No more mistakes."
Vyrak inclined his head. "As you wish."
Raven's gaze returned to the scrying pool, where Amara's determined face stared back at her.
"You think you've won a victory, little Bearer," she murmured, her voice a dangerous purr. "But you've only delayed the inevitable. The light cannot outshine the darkness forever."
With a wave of her hand, the image faded, leaving the chamber in darkness.
