Rogue and Specter uncovered the manhole as the group split up, Rogue nearly gagged in disgust, "Do I really have to go down there?" Specter nodded sadly as they got the heavy manhole cover off, and by the time they did, Titan, Echo and Nova were gone.
"Down the Rabbit Hole, I guess," Specter said as Rogue started to climb. They wore all black, with black hoods, with a weird mask that spewed that shadow that absorbed light. On her wrist, a small micro radio. They had boots, not shoes, and no trace of them being Migdar Royal Academy students.
They finally finished the climb, and both ways led into a perpetual darkness that was impossible to see into. "Which way?" Rogue asked as she spun around, "I don't know." Specter said bluntly but then she created a ball of Light that gave some illumination.
Rogue and Specter followed the light with their eyes, and they were on a platform with a canal of dirty water beneath and between the platform. The stench filled their nostrils and they felt like throwing up, "Well? Which road leads us to Rome?" Rogue asked impatiently.
"I don't know," Specter said, annoyed, as she started to walk in a random direction. Rogue kept pace, "Thom- Nova said you could see using your light." Specter looked even more annoyed, "He said, I could use my light to see."
Rogue understood what she meant and dropped the matter. They started to walk until they got to an opening where it was a circular chamber, with the platform going around the edge of the circular construct. The light was shining down from the moon through the metal grates.
On the other side, they saw a girl in a cloak, a robe even, with her back turned; she had black hair with streaks of green. Her hood was down and she turned.
