Chapter 125 - Chapter 125: Destined to Cross Paths with Baldies

Han Yu shook his head helplessly, though he couldn't deny the benefits of his current situation. At least now, he could finally upgrade himself. "System, open my personal panel!"

[Name: Han Yu]

[General Store Level: Advanced Senior Clerk]

[Basic Abilities: Undying God Seal, Magic Conch]

[Limited Items: Emotion Potion: Crying Storm 1][Permanent Items: Green Lantern Ring, Decade Driver, High-Quality Headphones, Universal Phone, Shinigami Attire]

[Arsenal: Hyōrinmaru, Clear Sky Hammer (One Ring)]

[Available Upgrade Points: 900]

[Points Required for Promotion: 500]

"System, promote me!" Han Yu eagerly shouted. This was the moment he had been waiting for—the promotion to store manager. He had anticipated this day for a long time.

"Upgrade points consumed. Current position: Junior Store Manager!"

**"Promotion rewards obtained: Item Draw Card 2, Blank Rider Card 5."

Seeing the five blank Rider Cards appear in his inventory, Han Yu, a die-hard Rider enthusiast, already had a plan in mind. "Looks like it's time to visit Brother Decade. Using one of his cards with the Decade Driver to transform into those characters—I wonder how that'll turn out."

Grinning mischievously, Han Yu carefully stored the cards, treating them like precious treasures. Then, he opened the general store's inventory. Many items that previously required upgrade points to obtain were now free to claim.

"Woo-hoo! Feels amazing!"

For the first time, Han Yu felt like he truly had control of the general store system. Before, every item required upgrade points to exchange, but now, most things were free.

"System, why are there still items in these sections that I can't freely claim?"

Han Yu scrolled through the list and noticed several grayed-out sections. Opening them, he was stunned. The items inside were jaw-dropping: divine weapons from various worlds, super armors, and even Infinity Stones. Just the sight of them made his scalp tingle.

Take the Infinity Stones, for example. Thanos went through countless missions—conquering Xandar, invading Earth—all for these stones.

Yet, here in Han Yu's store, they were readily available. If he wanted, he could load up a truck with them and casually toss them around without a second thought.

"To freely access these items, the host must reach at least the rank of Intermediate Store Manager or higher," the system explained.

Han Yu clapped his hands in resignation. He had expected the system wouldn't let him rise to the top so easily. Now that he had seen these restricted items, it was clear that spending only 500 upgrade points to become a store manager was actually a bargain.

As it stood, the items he could currently take from the general store were extraordinary. Selling just a few of them could turn him into a billionaire overnight.

But to Han Yu now, money was meaningless. His only desire was to continue improving his strength.

It wasn't that the Gaia Brand mission had turned him into an overly cautious individual, but in the Marvel Universe, death was permanent.

Han Yu wasn't so arrogant as to think reaching the Skyfather level made him invincible. The vast universe was full of hidden beings whose lifespans were measured in tens of thousands of years at minimum.

In comparison, he was nothing. Fortunately, Han Yu had transmigrated into the movie version of the Marvel Universe. If it had been the comic version, his current strength wouldn't even be enough to ensure his survival.

"Phew, one step at a time. Let's grab something to eat first."

Han Yu closed the personal attributes panel in front of him, rubbed his stomach, and headed downstairs. As he reached the first floor, the general store's front door suddenly swung open, startling him. Before he could react, a bald man appeared in his line of sight.

"What's the deal? Am I destined to keep running into bald guys? Another one?"

Seeing the visitor's shiny head, Han Yu's first thought was this. He tried to divert his attention from the gleaming scalp and looked further down. The man's appearance left him momentarily stunned.

A lifeless, fish-eyed expression, an oddly plain yellow jumpsuit, red gloves and boots, a white cape trailing behind him, and, of course, the shining bald head—it was an unintentionally comical sight. But the moment Han Yu saw his face, a name slipped out of his mouth.

"Saitama?"

Han Yu was no stranger to this man who had unexpectedly appeared in his store. Known as Saitama, he hailed from a world where he possessed an overwhelming power that could defeat any foe with a single punch.

Unfortunately, Saitama was plagued with bad luck. Either no one saw him take down villains, or people mistakenly credited other heroes for his feats. Sometimes, they simply refused to believe it was him.

As a result, despite having the strength to rank as an S-class hero, Saitama remained stuck in the B-class, hovering around the lower ranks for an embarrassingly long time. It was the kind of situation that made people laugh and cry at the same time.

Saitama lay motionless on the ground like a corpse. After a while with no movement, Han Yu was about to step forward to check if he was still alive when Saitama suddenly grabbed his ankle.

He rasped something unintelligible.

"What? What are you saying?" Han Yu leaned closer to hear more clearly, and finally caught his words.

"So… hungry…"

It turned out he was just starving. Han Yu chuckled helplessly, hoisting Saitama up and carrying him to the dining area, where he unceremoniously dumped him onto a chair.

"Wait here. You're in luck—it's just my mealtime. If you'd shown up suddenly at another time, there'd be no food for you."

Rolling up his sleeves, Han Yu headed to the kitchen to cook. Knowing Saitama's appetite might be enormous, Han Yu decided to prepare food for four people. After all, he was no stranger to hearty meals himself, often eating enough for two people without breaking a sweat.

The aroma of the food wafted through the air, and Saitama's dazed eyes finally refocused. Finding himself in an unfamiliar room, his first reaction wasn't panic but a calm survey of his surroundings, though he still seemed a bit lost.

"Where am I?"

Just then, Han Yu emerged from the kitchen, dishes in hand. Seeing Saitama regaining his senses, he grinned and said, "Awake now? Perfect timing. Let's eat."

He set the food on the table and, without waiting for Saitama to respond, started digging in himself. Each bite he took was so hearty and satisfying that Saitama couldn't help but salivate.

No matter how strong-willed a foodie was, the allure of a delicious meal was irresistible.

Saitama muttered a quick "Thanks," picked up his chopsticks, and began eating. The moment the food touched his tongue, his eyes widened in shock. "What kind of divine flavor is this?!"

In Japan, cuisine typically emphasized minimal processing to preserve the natural taste of ingredients. While there were exceptions, the flavors were often subtle and not overly complex.

Han Yu's cooking, on the other hand, was a feast for all senses: vibrant colors, tantalizing aromas, and flavors that made each bite more addictive than the last.

Saitama, engrossed in his meal, had no time for words, focusing entirely on devouring the food in front of him.
