Chapter : 3; Creating the Primal Cell Refinement Technique and making it perfect.
Qiangu Qitian sat cross-legged under the cascading waterfall, while the rhythmic pounding of water on his back kept reminding him of the bitterness he had tasted. During those months, he had gathered herbs, hardened his body in medicine baths, and tempered his resistance in the endless torrent. While all that indeed was going well, some deep discontent seemed to gnaw at his soul.
The cultivation techniques of his new world's scattered memories were as intricate as they were mysterious, and he had none. All he had were mere fragments of concepts from the novels he had read back in his previous life. From these fragments, however, one idea began to take root.
"Why depend on others' methods? Why can't I forge my own way?"
Thinking of this, Qiangu Qitian did a crazy experiment. Then, five months later, he thoroughly created basic techniques that would break all the limits of the human body.
---
Taking a cue from the biology of modern times and from cultivation systems he vaguely remembered, Qiangu Qitian thought of a technique wherein every cell in his body would be a small world of power. If every cell could generate a minute quantity of energy-say, 0.01 grams of force-it would change everything in his physical capacity.
1. Cellular Energy Application:
Qiangu theorized that by channeling spiritual energy into his cells, he could excite them to release their full potential. This would strengthen not only his muscles but also every part of the body: bones, tendons, and even the internal organs.
2. Creating a Refinement Loop:
The technique would involve the steps of absorption, compression, and release. First, he would absorb spiritual energy from the environment; then he would compress it to a concentrated form before releasing it into his cells.
3. Refining the Physical Body:
Through continually refining his cells, he would purify his body, gradually removing impurities and building up strength, speed, and resilience. This will set a good foundation for him to make progress in the Blood Forging Realm, which is the first step in cultivation in this world.
The creation and refinement of the technique took Qiangu Qitian five grueling months. Each step was well-thought-out and tested by trial and error.
Qiangu realized that the first step towards spiritual energy was control of breathing for drawing in such energies. He started rhythmical exercises in breathing: while inhaling, he allowed himself to visualize that spirit energies from the environment flow into his body through invisible mist pores.
While exhaling, impurities leave and open the way for better quality energy inside his body.
At first, the results were negligible. The energy he absorbed dissipated quickly, but with practice, he learned to hold and circulate it through his meridians.
Once Qiangu could absorb spiritual energy, he worked on compressing it. This step was inspired by the concept of storing potential energy, much like winding a spring.
Visualization: He conceptualized that within each of his cells was a small furnace that, when the spiritual energy reached the cell, compressed it into a very tiny and bright core.
Control: Compressing the energy within the cell was extremely hazardous. If too great a force was applied, a cell would burst. For weeks, Qiangu struggled with perfecting this process-compression versus safety.
---
Finally, he had to allow the compressed energy to release again back into the cell, and to enable it to refine itself:
Energy Pulse: The energy released, as it surged through the cell, pulsed and strengthened its structure, stimulating regeneration.
Integration: Each refined cell grew a little bit stronger, adding to his general strength.
In three months, Qiangu Qitian felt the drastic change: his body light and his strength exponentially strong, he could shoulder those big boulders which were hard to move. Besides, his speed and response significantly improved.
But, it was just a beginning; Qiangu knew it perfectly well that the real thing to do was to maintain persistence and repeat it over and over again.
Qiangu spent the first month experimenting with his breathing technique. He focused entirely on learning how to absorb and then circulate spiritual energy well. At the end of the month, he was able to draw in energy continuously for hours.
In the second month, Qiangu started to pay attention to every cell in his body. He meditated for hours and thought of every cell separately. This practice gave him not only control but also a deeper realization of what was going on inside his body.
During the third month, perfecting took over his cells as impurities of his body were being excreted: skin growing smooth and muscles compact. His body started to exude this soft glow that showed the full integration of spiritual energy within him.
By the fourth month, Qiangu was testing the limits of his body. He went on to hard training: running in the forest with sandbags, and with combat movements using tree trunks. With all the cells having heightened strength, he could smash through them easily.
In the past month, Qiangu concentrated on perfecting the technique itself-streamlining it, so to say-to decrease the loss of energy and increase the output. In that last month of refinement, each of his body cells could produce 0.01 grams of force, and together they gave him tremendous power.
--
Qiangu Qitian was proud of his work; henceforth, he called it the Primal Cell Refinement Technique, a name that spoke to its focus on the most basic units of life.
1. Increased Strength:
Qiangu's physical strength had risen far beyond that of any ordinary mortal. He could now uproot small trees and crush rocks with his bare hands.
2. Increased Resilience:
His body turned almost insensitive to minor hurts. The bones hardened, and his skin was toughened; it acted like armor for his body.
3. Sharper Perceptions:
Strong refinement, clear and agile, Qiangu's senses have been heightened: to hear the farthest of sounds, even feel minute changes in the surroundings, helping him keep at bay in battles, survive in most conditions.
---
Sprinkles of waterfall, Qiangu Qitian stood under it, allowed his body to radiate strength, clenching his fists and looking up towards the sky.
"The sect selection is just the beginning," he muttered. "I've built my foundation and almost reached the peak of the blood forging realm and with my own hands, and no one, no god, no cultivation, will take that from me."
.
Qiangu Qitian made a breakthrough with the Primal Cell Refinement Technique, but then he found one side effect that was rather bad: when every single cell was filled with incredible power, releasing it all at once caused extremely sharp pain from all over the body.
It wasn't pain-it was as if every cell in his body screamed in agony, protesting the simultaneous release of their stored energy. After an especially grueling session, Qiangu slumped at the base of the waterfall, clutching at his chest.
"This can't be the limit," he growled through gritted teeth, sweat mixing with the water coursing down his face. "What's the point of great power if I cannot utilize it without breaking myself?"
The flaw became apparent: the technique had indeed refined his body, but it did not have a system that would balance the power of all his cells working together. The sharp pain was his body's rejection of the chaotic surge of energy.
---
Qiangu spent days in meditation to trace the source of the problem. The problem wasn't an issue of the physical; it was more structural.
1. Energy Flow Imbalance:
Every cell worked independently, and channeling their energy together all at once became a chaotic and uncoordinated surge.
2. Stress on the Meridians:
The great force created by the cells was too much for his meridians-the spiritual vessels that allow the flow of energy. Whereas these were strong enough to resist the normal flow of energy circulation, they did not hold up to the pressure of millions of cells simultaneously stirring into action.
3. Physical Limitations:
Qiangu's body, though greatly improved, was still in the Blood Forging Realm-the first step of cultivation. His physical foundation wasn't strong enough to bear such a dense release of power.
---
Determined to surmount the limitation, Qiangu Qitian spent several weeks in refinement of the technique. He knew the answer to it lay in harmonious cells that would allow the power to flow from within continuously rather than in jumpy bits.
---
In response to the disharmony he felt, Qiangu used a new breathing pattern so as to harmonize the energies in his cells:
Rhythmic Pulses: He created a continuity of energy in his body by matching his breathing to the rhythm of his heartbeat.
Visualizing Unity: Qiangu visualized that his cells were an enormous army and should march as one, instead of individually, to help him build up the coordination of their energy release.
---
Realizing the strain on his meridians, Qiangu focused on fortifying them:
Spiritual Energy Coating: With a small portion of the energy from his cells, he toughened his meridians and painted them with a layer for protection.
Micro-Adjustment: The energy should be well controlled so that the changes in his meridians would adapt to the rise in pressure.
---
Instead of releasing all of the energy at once, Qiangu practiced it piece by piece:
Wave Technique: He divided the energy release into waves, allowing his body to handle smaller bursts of power.
Controlled Build-Up: Each wave built on the previous one, gradually increasing the force while maintaining control.
---
After months of relentless effort, the day finally came that he realized the moment when everything fell into place. Qiangu Qitian stood before a huge boulder, its weight easily in the millions of kilograms. This would be the ultimate test of his perfected technique.
He took a deep breath and felt the cells in his body synchronizing in rhythm. His strengthened meridians pulsed with energy.
Qiangu shouted loudly, using all his refined energy to power one punch.
Boom!
The boulder didn't just crack; it disintegrated, and the force sent fragments around the forest; the ground was shaking, and a strong breeze whirred through, forcing Qiangu's hair back as he looked out across the devastation around him.
A moment later, he smiled.
"I did it," he said with a clenched fist. "This is what the true power of Primal Cell Refinement Technique feels like."
---
After finally perfecting the technique, Qiangu Qitian's strength had now reached an unmatched level by any cultivator within the Blood Forging Realm:
1. Unmatched Physique:
He could now unleash powerful punches that would turn boulders into powder-the very ones which even other advanced cultivators would be incapable of moving.
2. Increased Endurance:
This was because the flow of energy at the same frequency allowed him to be at his best and to go on for longer without any tiredness.
3. Pain Tolerance:
Since the harmonization of the cells eliminated the excruciating pain, he could unleash all his power without hesitation.
4. Flexibility in Power:
The phased release technique made him more accurate in regulating the intensity of the attack by the situation.
As Qiangu Qitian stood amidst the rubble of the shattered boulder, he looked out toward the horizon. This forest, once a domain of isolation and struggle for him, now felt as though it had been conquered.
"I have perfected my foundation," he said, and his voice was full of resolve. "It is time to step out of this forest and into the wider world."
His next goal was obvious: the sect selection trials were next. It was his ticket to greater power-a place where he could pitch his skills against other cultivators and get resources and techniques he was still in need of.
He gazed out into the sky to the setting sun. Nobody knew what was running across his mind. Before he could utter a word or even react, his body suddenly started heating up, and there were two kinds of forces in him that began to riot.
But what was that.?
