Chapter 24 - Chapter 24: The Clash at the Mountain's

Base The golden light of dawn broke across the horizon, its warmth quickly replaced by the chilling march of the Fire Clan. Hundreds of warriors stood in formation, their weapons gleaming menacingly under the sun. Their battle cries echoed throughout the mountain pass, signaling their unrelenting determination to claim victory.

At the foot of Dead Mountain, Lim Kris and Chinye stood side by side, the remnants of their once-thriving Water Clan's pride burning brightly in their hearts. Armed with their honed Ancient Techniques, their faces bore the resolve of warriors unwilling to yield. As the Fire Clan surged forward, Lim Kris raised her ancient sword, a blade imbued with the power of the Sword Clan from a millennia past. "Chinye," she said firmly, "This is where we prove that strength isn't in numbers but in heart."

Chinye nodded, her hands crackling with golden lightning. "We will show them what it means to challenge the spirit of the Water Clan!"

The first wave of Fire Clan warriors reached them. Lim Kris dashed into the fray, her sword leaving streaks of light as it sliced through enemy after enemy. Chinye, with her Ancient Lightning Technique, summoned bolts of searing power that struck groups of warriors, leaving their charred forms scattered across the battlefield.

The ground trembled under the weight of their combined fury, with the Fire Clan's frontlines falling one after another. Still, the enemy pressed on, their numbers seemingly endless.

Elder Tuhan, watching from the rear with the Fire Clan leader, clenched his fists. "Those two... How do they wield such ancient techniques?! They weren't supposed to be this strong!"

The Fire Clan leader smirked, unimpressed. "Then it's time to put an end to their little game. Release the Elders."

At his command, four of the Fire Clan's strongest Elders, including Elder Tuhan, entered the battlefield. They moved with incredible speed and unleashed devastating techniques, instantly turning the tide of the fight.

Lim Kris deflected blow after blow from Elder Tuhan, her sword ringing as sparks flew. But it was clear thefour Elders together were overwhelming the pair. Chinye launched wave after wave of lightning, her attacks forcing two Elders back, but not enough to create a definitive gap.

"You cannot match the power of four Elders combined!" Elder Tuhan bellowed, his fiery aura expanding.

A moment of distraction cost them. One of the Elders found an opening, sending a searing energy blast toward Chinye. She raised her hands to shield herself, but the attack was too powerful.

"Chinye!" Lim Kris cried as the impact threw her sister to the ground, her body smoking from the strike.

Chinye struggled to rise, clutching her side as blood trickled down. Despite the pain, she glared at Elder Tuhan and tried to stand tall. "I won't... fall to you!" she growled.

Lim Kris's heart ached as she saw her sister wounded. Her vision blurred with tears, but her grip on her sword tightened. She screamed, her blade glowing with an ancient blue hue. Unleashing a flurry of strikes, she pushed back two of the Elders, her determination igniting fear even among these seasoned warriors.

But they kept pressing, each Elder combining their fiery techniques to pin Lim Kris and Chinye into a corner.

"Enough!" The Fire Clan leader finally stepped forward, his laugh echoing across the battlefield. "Lim Kris, your courage is admirable, but futile. If you truly wish to protect your sister and your pitiful temple, bring out the Mysterious Man!"

His words cut through Lim Kris like a blade. She froze, her heart pounding as the reality of the situation hit her. Their Master wasn't there.

Her silence caused the Fire Clan leader to laugh even louder. "As I thought! He isn't here, is he? Surrender, little girl, and I might let you live to see another day."

Chinye struggled to stand beside Lim Kris, her eyes blazing with defiance. "We'll... never surrender... to the likes of you!" But the Fire Clan leader merely smirked, raising his hand. "Then die, as all weaklings must!"
