After a long, awkward silence, a young man, looking like he was still in his 30s, walked towards them with an air of confidence. He was dressed in a sleek, black suit, and his dark hair was styled perfectly. As he approached, the four men standing in front of Sophia and Rachel bowed down gently in respect, their movements synchronized.
The young man nodded slightly, his eyes scanning Sophia and Rachel as they sat on the chair. He examined them for a moment, his expression unreadable. Then, he turned back to the men and spoke in a low, smooth tone.
"You found the best spot for me," he said, his eyes sweeping the area. "Alright, go ahead."
Sophia and Rachel exchanged a confused glance, unsure of what was going on. They had been waiting for Sophia's uncle, Mr. Jonathan, but this young man seemed to be taking charge.
Hearing the young man's words, one of the bodyguards nodded and turned to Sophia and Rachel. "Alright, stand up," he said gruffly. "My boss wants to sit here."."
Bang!
The bodyguard's words struck through the air, and even some people passing by at that moment were shocked to hear him ask Sophia and Rachel to stand up. But when people saw the young man behind the bodyguards, their faces turned from surprise to pity.
The people who recognized the young man started whispering to themselves. "Ahh, that's Mr. Coby," someone said, their voice barely audible. Hearing those words, the people around froze in place. "Coby? What is he doing here?" another set of people whispered. "I think this girl's offended him," someone else chimed in.
Sophia and Rachel were stunned, and they wondered what these people meant or wanted from them. This chair they were sitting on was clearly a public chair, so these men coming here and asking them to stand up was like a big joke.
One of the bodyguards, seeing them still seated and not even making a move, quickly wanted to move closer to them to force them up. But the young man, whose name was whispered as Coby, stopped him with a raised hand. He walked closer to Sophia and Rachel himself, his face stern and unyielding.
He looked like he was not ready for any conversations, but when he sighted Sophia's dressing, he couldn't help but scoff and give a little smile. In his mind, it was obvious these girls were not from this region, and that meant they didn't know him.
Hmm, he cleared his throat, his eyes narrowing slightly. "Didn't you hear when he asked you both to stand up?" he repeated, his voice firm but laced with amusement.
