Ivonne's POV
The rogue was taken by surprise as it stumbled and slowly got to its feet, taking time to observe its new opponent. My heart pounded as I gazed into its red eyes.
'Be strong Ria,' I said in encouragement to my wolf who despite our heartbeat, stood firm and unshaken on the outside.
I could feel eyes on me as the noise in the background happened to tone down a bit. My fur shone under the moonlight, automatically calling the attention of everyone in the vicinity.
Brushing my nose with my paw, I shook my head as if to rid it off dirt and began to walk in circles as the rogue did same, observing me. "Luna?" Jarvis called from behind me, shock evident in his voice.
I sent him a look of acknowledgment and his lips thinned, worry in his eyes as all the rogues happened to gradually discard their opponents and approach me.
"Run Luna!" Leonardo shouted the advise but it was a second too late. As my brain tried to put his words into action I felt a weight land on my back, making my steps falter as I lost my stamina for a moment at the sudden hit.
I inhaled sharply in pain and used all my force to kick off the rogue, feeling its nails digging into my flesh. As I concentrated on the one behind me, my earlier adversary rushed and slit my left paw with its nails.
Tears stung the corner of my eyes and luckily the wolf at my back was shot by Jarvis while I spotted Leonardo running toward me from the corner of my eye.
It appeared as if everyone was spurred into action as rogues and pack warriors rushed in my path. Before any of the warriors could reach me, about four rogues pounced on me at once.
The weight was much that I slumped beneath them, my bones becoming squished as they wrestled me. I let out a howl of pain as I felt one of their canines dig into me.
A burning sensation was triggered and for seconds I lay there, unmoving. The weight was pressing me down and there was no way I could move.
Dread began to take over me as I felt it was the way I was going to die. Howls and screams filled the air as the rogues were dragged away from me.
Bullets rang and in less than a minute I was free from the rogues. However my whole body had gone weak. I was loosing blood and my bones were taking time to recover.
I tried to put my weight on one foot in a bid to stand but ended up on my side again in a failed attempt. A hiss leaving my lips and tears pouring out of my eyes.
Exhaustion and fatigue was taking over. I struggled to fight it and prayed someone would carry me rather the rest was occupied and just as I was about to loose hope a cloth was thrown over me.
In my hazy state I had no idea when I had shifted back to human form. The next thing, strong arms appeared and slid beneath me, lifting me up, a familiar scent filling my nostrils as my head rested on a firm chest.
Releasing a breath of relief, I appreciated the warmness of the skin on my face and managed to raise my head and unravel my lids which had unconsciously shut.
"Tobias?" I squeaked out the name.
I felt a vibration run through me as he hummed in response. "It's me Ivonne, I'm here for you."
After that I drifted in and out of consciousness. I knew I was being carried away from the chaos. I suddenly met a brightness which indicated I was taken back to the mansion.
I faintly heard shuffling and commands being thrown around by the man whose arms I was secured in. I sensed the clothe being removed from my body and uttered a sound in protest but was ignored.
Next I was dipped in a warm liquid and released a sigh of relief. A sweet scent met my nostrils and I drifted off finally into a very deep and much needed slumber.

"She'll be fine Alpha," I heard someone say in the background. "She healed faster than expected. I think that comes with being a silver wolf."
The voice became clearer as I became conscious of environment and if I wasn't mistaken, it was the voice of the doctor. Making a sound at the back of my throat, I slowly unraveled my lids only to end up hissing at the bright light that shone from the bulb above. "Fuck,"
"Well that's a nice way to greet the world you nearly left don't you think?" Tobias questioned in a snort and I didn't need to stare at his face to figure out that he was pissed.
"She's awake," the voice of earlier announced like we didn't just realize that. I felt a finger on my face before a torch was flashed into my right eye as my lid was shifted upward.
"Fucking too bright," I murmured in protest and turned to my right, away from the doctor, only for my arm to feel something soft.
As I tried to fathom what it was, it revealed itself through the voice of my mother who blurted a "Language child."
"Mother?" I called out in question, my eyes immediately flashing open. I inhaled a sharp breath to prevent another curseword from spilling out as my vision got accustomed to the environment.
"It's me Ivonne," she assured and my gaze met hers, my heart swelling with warmth at her presence. She was in a simple brown dress and appeared stronger though she was propped in a wheel chair. "I guess you wanted to cause a setback to my health progress by putting your life on the line like that hmm?"
"Sorry for worrying you mother," I apologized and tried to sit up, noticing I was in Tobias and I's bedroom.
"Help her Tobias," Mother said as I felt a large palm on my back, guiding my posture till I attained the right position. "It's a mother's duty to worry Ivonne."
"Still, I apologize." I vowed my head, staring at my fingers which laid on my bare thighs. I was dresses in only a a black cotton t-shirt, the duvet covering me dropping lower due to my posture.
"Thank you for your help Doctor," Tobias said in a dismissing tone to the familiar looking man and reached out to cover my thighs, the action causing a small smile to grace my lips.
"Please inform me of any developments," the doctor nodded in reply and made a u-turn to exit the room, shutting the door behind him.
"What in heavens name were you thinking going into a damned rogue battle Ivonne?" Tobias raised a question, his bulky arms and chest inviting as he crossed them and sent me a glare. "Ivonne? I asked you a question."
Clearing my throat, I diverted my mind from the thought of how attractive he appeared in only brown sweatpants, his jaw clenched with that scowl on his face.
"I didn't want to send them to hell all alone," I blurted in reply to his query.
"How the fuck do you think they are alone?" He implored, a dry laugh leaving his lips. "They are divided into groups. Also they are not just people, they are warriors, heck an army if I must say, trained for years and have one or two battle experiences."
"Now I get where she gets her swearing from," Mother said from beside me, shaking her head.
