Ivonne's POV
After Tobias and I had our discussion at the breakfast table, I tried to hold on to his words about trust, however it proved a bit difficult. It was just as he said, it was hard to trust someone after everything I'd been through.
He asked for the benefit of doubt and despite the fact I was hesitant, I was able to give him whatever percentage of trust I had left in me. I sincerely hoped he'd stick to his assurance of having everything planned out.
A knock had come an hour earlier on my room door and he peeked his head after I gave the permission to come in. Standing on the doorframe he informed me he would soon be leaving to the pack house for the scheduled meeting he had informed me about.
He also took the time to repeat I was free to roam the pack lands and get accustomed to the new environment. I wasn't too keen on the idea, nonetheless 30 minutes later I tapped my knuckles on Lora's door to let her know we'd be stepping out in a few.
