"They aren't moving," Lucky exclaimed, as the driver sped up, making his intentions clear. Any rogues who didn't move would be run over by the limo. At the very last second, the rogues parted and the limo streaked through the group. It looked like there were about 30 of them. Lucky scanned them and did not see any sign of Gina's wolf, who was more of a silvery color.
"I don't think the leader is here," Lucky told them, "although I can't be sure.
"They are chasing us, no wait, they are stopping now. What was that?" Jed wondered aloud.
"Scare tactics,"Lucky replied. She looked relieved as the wolves Traven had sent to escort them back came into view, bounding towards the limo, a sea of black fur. Lucky mind linked with Traven that the rogues had backed off, for now.
"Hey beautiful," someone said through the link, tapping on the window. She recognized Miles, who stood taller than the other wolves. "What do you say we go for a run?"
