Chapter 12 - Chapter 12

Although it was a questioning tone, Uchiha Obito couldn't hear the slightest doubt in Uzumaki Chito's voice.

He raised his head and met Uzumaki Chito's gaze.

Cold, ruthless, and even tinged with disgust.

Uchiha Obito knew that he couldn't lie in this moment, so he nodded slightly. "That... it was indeed me who did it."

Uzumaki Chito sneered. "Tsk. So you did that kind of thing, and you still dare to show your face in front of me? Do you think I'm the kind of person who forgets and holds no grudges?"

A trace of cold sweat began to form on Uchiha Obito's back.

How could he have forgotten?

Damn it!

The man in front of him had cared deeply about Kushina back then.

He had been the one to indirectly cause her death.

"Oh, finally remembered?" Uzumaki Chito's voice was laced with a mocking sneer.

Uchiha Obito remained silent.

Uzumaki Chito waved his hand indifferently. "I'm giving you a chance. If you're willing to commit suicide, I won't do it. I promise to leave you with a whole corpse."

Suicide?

What a ridiculous suggestion.

Uchiha Obito shook his head. "Lord Chito, I admit that you're very powerful, but even the Fourth Hokage couldn't catch me, and neither can you."

Uchiha Obito was confident when he said this. The ninjutsu contained in his Mangekyo Sharingan wasn't the strongest of all eye techniques, but it was undoubtedly the strongest for self-preservation.

Divinity.

It allowed him to hide his body in a small space under his control.

Uzumaki Chito squinted at him. "Your Mangekyo Sharingan gives you that much confidence?"

Uchiha Obito nodded slowly. "You are indeed the longest-living man in the ninja world. You even know of my Mangekyo Sharingan."

Uzumaki Chito didn't speak. Instead, he slowly stood up and walked toward Uchiha Obito.

Uchiha Obito felt a bit nervous, but after confirming that his Mangekyo power was still active, he relaxed somewhat.

"Kamui?"

"The power contained in your Mangekyo should be this," Uzumaki Chito said.

Uchiha Obito was startled and stared at Uzumaki Chito in disbelief. "How is that possible? How would you know?"

Ordinary people didn't even know the existence of the Mangekyo Sharingan.

But this man not only recognized it, he even knew the specific ability of his Mangekyo.

How could Uzumaki Chito know all this?

Uzumaki Chito slowly raised his hand and aimed it at Uchiha Obito's head.

"Any ninjutsu can be cracked. That's what I once said to Minato. I don't know if he taught you that, but now, I'll teach you again."

Uchiha Obito didn't speak. He just maintained his Kamui state.

His ninjutsu had indeed been cracked by Minato, but that had been more about tactics than about the jutsu itself.

Uzumaki Chito chuckled, raised his hand, and tapped Uchiha Obito's head. There was a ripple in the void.

A powerful force pressed against Uchiha Obito's body.

He was shocked to find that the space he had relied on could no longer shelter him. On the contrary, his space was disintegrating and collapsing little by little, exposing his physical body to the real world.

His ninjutsu had been cracked.

In the Kamui space, he had once been like a loach slipping into the ground, escaping from others. No one else could follow him.

But Uzumaki Chito's move was like erasing the very ground the loach could burrow into—removing his place to hide, leaving him with no choice but to be exposed in the real world.

This was a technique with no counter.

Uzumaki Chito smiled brightly as he looked at Uchiha Obito. "See? I told you, all ninjutsu in this world has a way to be cracked."

"As long as you're strong enough—"

Uchiha Obito didn't dare to speak. His body began to tremble. This was the first time he had felt the real threat of death since that near-death experience—and this time, it was even more terrifying.

At the same moment, he noticed something was wrong.

With a snort, he burrowed into the ground, preparing to escape with his ability.

But as soon as he began to move, Uzumaki Chito had already captured his motion.

With a wave of his hand, the small space was frozen.

The ground Zetsu had burrowed into suddenly seemed to have an unnatural vitality, arching and spitting him out. Zetsu landed next to Uchiha Obito.

"Where do you think you're going? Do you have my permission to leave?"

Uzumaki Chito looked at Zetsu coldly, his tone indifferent and condescending.

"Or is it that the child of Kaguya only knows how to run and doesn't dare to confront me?"

Zetsu stared at Uzumaki Chito with wide, horrified eyes.

How could this be?

How could Uzumaki Chito possibly know who he was?
