Having made his decision, Gavin planned to create the necessary preparations on the spot. He quickly surveyed his surroundings and chose two tall corpses.
At this time, the Blood Dragon Guard had bound the three pirates together, and Gavin swiftly took out the ritual materials he had prepared in advance, beginning the Blood Mage Puppet ritual.
And so, in the horrified gazes of the three captured pirates, a horrifying scene unfolded—one of the corpses, which had been dead for some time, suddenly stood up.
The ritual lasted until evening and Gavin finally completed the creation of two Blood Dragon Guards. As the sky darkened, the atmosphere around them grew increasingly eerie.
The two newly created Blood Dragon Guards stood silently, as though waiting for Gavin's command.
The three bound pirates, however, were on the verge of breaking down, their eyes filled with despair from the torment of fear.
After performing the ritual twice, Gavin felt utterly drained. It wasn't so much the mental and physical exhaustion, but rather the fact that each creation demanded a substantial amount of his own blood. It would likely take at least two days for his body to fully recover.
Given this situation, the corpses on the ground clearly wouldn't last long enough for him to create more.
At Gavin's command, the three Blood Dragon Guards immediately knocked out the captured pirates. Each of them carried one pirate, swiftly leaving and disappearing into the night with Gavin's lead.

In the dimly lit hall, Black Shark "Erl" furrowed his brow, intently listening to his subordinate's report.
"Boss, that group hasn't returned yet, and there's been no word. Before they left, they were tasked with searching along the coast," a subordinate said, his head lowered and voice trembling with a hint of fear.
Black Shark "Er" maintained a calm expression, though his voice carried a hint of authority. He replied, "It seems they didn't go deep into the island. Send another group to search, but this time, increase the number of people and reinforce the coastal search."
At that moment, another subordinate rushed in, panting heavily. "Boss, we've found some traces of the group. They've discovered their remains, but… there are only eight corpses, most of which were killed by arrows."
Black Shark "Er"'s expression darkened immediately. His voice became cold and commanding. "Take archers with you. Also, bring any armor you can find. Don't bother with capturing anyone alive. If you find them, kill on sight and bring the other party's head back to me!"
The atmosphere in the hall became tense and oppressive, as the subordinates fell silent, not daring to make a sound.

The following evening, Gavin and his group, along with the captives, slowly made their way deeper into the dense forest.
At this point, Gavin felt somewhat weak from the blood loss, and although he had tried using the quick-healing potion along the way, its effects were minimal.
The potion only hastened the recovery of external wounds and did nothing to replenish the blood he had lost.
Entering the dense forest deeper into the island was one of necessity. Clearly, the pirates had become more alert after the previous day's actions.
Through the Blood Dragon Guards' reconnaissance, Gavin learned that the enemy had deployed over a hundred pirates this time, most of whom were equipped with various types of armor and shields.
Among them, he even found a few suits of full plate armor. It was clear that the pirates had realised his proficiency with the bow and quickly adapted their strategy.
Gavin knew full well that, with his current strength, although he could handle these pirates, a direct confrontation would be unwise.
It would be better to avoid their forces, take the time to recover, and create three more Blood Dragon Guards before launching a counterattack.
Moreover, with a smaller group, their movements would be more agile, and with the pirates as captives, Gavin had the added advantage of knowing the island's terrain well.
During this period, Gavin led his group in a series of evasive maneuvers through the dense forest, skillfully dodging the pirates' repeated searches.
Under Gavin's threats and temptations, the captives obediently cooperated, leading them deeper into more concealed areas. As night fell, Gavin's group finally found a safe cave where they could rest temporarily.
Two days later, the pirates, unable to find any trace of Gavin, were becoming more and more frantic.
By this time, they had completed a search of the entire coastline and began deploying additional forces for a thorough search deeper into the island. To achieve this, they doubled their manpower.
At this moment, Gavin, pale and utterly exhausted, leaned against the stone wall. He looked at the six Blood Dragon Guards in front of him, a smile forming at the corner of his mouth. He thought to himself, "It's time to strike back."
Gavin, accompanied by the Blood Dragon Guards, moved through the forest like ghosts, skillfully avoiding several large pirate squads. His steps were light and cautious as he approached a smaller group of pirates.
They held their breath, their forms blending seamlessly into the darkness, like shadows lurking in the night. Their cold, unwavering gaze was fixed on the target, patiently awaiting the perfect moment to strike.
Deep within the forest, a pirate squad of twenty was struggling to search.
"This damn forest, the mosquitoes are enough to eat a man alive!" grumbled a pirate with a scruffy beard, flailing his arms to fend off the insects.
"Tell me about it! I don't know what the higher-ups were thinking, sending us to this godforsaken place," another tall and thin pirate chimed in, his face full of irritation.
"Hmph! When we catch that bastard, I'll make him wish he were never born!" a burly pirate growled, angrily hacking at a tree trunk with his blade.
"Yeah, We'll make him beg for death!" another pirate cursed loudly, his voice full of venom.
The group continued forward, their complaints filling the air, oblivious to the danger closing in on them.
Suddenly, an arrow whizzed through the air, striking the pirate at the front of the line in the throat, killing him instantly.
The pirate squad immediately fell into chaos. They quickly raised their shields, and two archers immediately drew their bows, scanning the forest in a desperate attempt to locate Gavin.
However, before they could figure it out, they were both struck down by two arrows from Gavin.
At the same time, two Blood Dragon Guards appeared behind the group, launching a sudden attack that caught the pirates completely off guard.
Moments later, two more Blood Dragon Guards emerged from either side, plunging the pirate squad into further disarray.
"Ah! An ambush!" The pirates screamed in terror, their formation breaking apart in panic.
The Blood Dragon Guards moved with swift precision, their strikes fierce and relentless. In the dim light, the weapons in their hands glinted with coldness.
Amidst the chaotic battle, one pirate raised his sword to defend himself, but a Blood Dragon Guard's long blade came down with a powerful swing, knocking the pirate's sword aside.
Without losing momentum, the blade continued its lethal arc, slicing the pirate cleanly in half. Blood sprayed everywhere, painting the ground red.
Elsewhere, another Blood Dragon Guard was ambushed by a pirate who plunged a dagger into his lower back. However, the weapon seemed to have no effect, as though it had pierced someone else entirely. The Blood Dragon Guard turned around without hesitation, gripping the pirate's neck with a hand like an iron vice.
In the pirate's terrified gaze, the Blood Dragon Guard twisted his hand sharply. With a sickening crack, the pirate's neck snapped, and his head drooped lifelessly.
The remaining pirates stood paralyzed, their eyes wide with terror as fear gripped their hearts, leaving them unable to move.
