Before long, a pirate came running and handed two broken bows to Black Shark 'Erl.'

The break points of the bows showed clear signs of having been scorched by flames.

Touching the broken bows, Black Shark "Erl" glanced at the scarred man behind him and said coldly, "It seems someone formidable has arrived on the island. Send people to search for him, It's best to capture him alive and be careful; he still has three more bows."

Meanwhile, Gavin stood atop the cliff, gazing down at the Shipbreaker bay below.

It didn't resemble the natural deep-water harbor that Captain Hassan had mentioned, perhaps his information had become outdated.

Below, a wide dock had already been built from stone. More than thirty ships occupied half the space, and there was even a large dry dock.

From Gavin's vantage point, he could glimpse part of a ship under construction within the dry dock. A wooden camp was tightly connected to the dock, and though there were no walls around the camp, lookout towers were placed around its perimeter.

Suddenly, Gavin saw a group of pirates, armed and full of menace, walking out of the town.

They dispersed as they walked, splitting into three groups. Two groups headed inland, while the third moved along the coastline, heading straight toward Gavin's location.

Seeing the pirate group approaching, Gavin decided to move away from the pirate base and eliminate them. He quickly retreated in the opposite direction, pausing at intervals to carefully monitor their movements, ensuring everything remained under his control.

Time passed slowly, and by noon, the pirate group, clearly exhausted, stopped in a sheltered grove to rest.

Seeing this, Gavin immediately ordered the Blood Dragon Guard to silently move around to prevent any escapes. He then took his bow and, crouching low, cautiously approached the pirates' position.

Perhaps due to their exhaustion, and because the island was their stronghold, half of the pirates lay down carelessly on the ground, while the others sat down to rest, with no one on guard.

Gavin silently drew his bow, targeting a pirate who was far away from the group. With a sharp "whoosh," the arrow flew like lightning, striking the pirate's neck with precision. The pirate fell to the ground before he even had time to scream.

Taking advantage of their stillness, Gavin quickly fired another arrow, piercing the throat of another pirate.

The blood splattered and hit the face of another pirate behind him, causing him to freeze in terror and scream as he jumped to his feet.

All the pirates' gazes turned toward him. Just then, another arrow flew swiftly, piercing his eye. The entire pirate group was immediately thrown into a state of extreme panic.

The pirates who had been lying on the ground suddenly awoke from their daze, hurriedly getting up to grab their weapons and fight back, but they couldn't see the enemy and looked confused.

Some pirates couldn't even grasp their weapons before Gavin's swift arrows struck them down, resulting in their death.

The few remaining pirates finally snapped out of it and began running in all directions, frantically searching for cover. Any pirate attempting to flee was shot down one by one by Gavin's arrows.

For a moment, blood-curdling screams echoed one after another, as the pirates who attempted to escape fell one after another.

However, two pirates, taking advantage of the chaos, silently slipped into the bushes behind them, hoping to use their concealed positions to evade Gavin's deadly arrows.

Gavin paid no attention to them. At this moment, only three pirates remained, hiding behind trees, their every movement suppressed by Gavin's arrows.

Terrified beyond measure, they were paralyzed with fear and dared not move a muscle.

Seeing the situation, Gavin wasted no time. He discarded his bow and drew his sword, charging toward the pirates behind the trees with the swiftness of a fierce wind. His goal was to capture a few alive to extract vital information.

In such a brief span of time, more than half of the pirate group of over ten had been wiped out.

This left the remaining three pirates completely overwhelmed by fear. Only when Gavin was upon them did they hastily scramble to counterattack.

A flash of sword light passed, and two pirates were knocked unconscious to the ground. The remaining pirate, in utter desperation, immediately dropped to his knees and surrendered.

At that moment, the Blood Dragon Guard emerged from the bushes, carrying two bodies. They were the two pirates who had attempted to escape earlier.

Gavin's gaze was sharp as a hawk's, fixed intently on the pirate kneeling before him. He warned coldly, "From now on, you will answer all my questions. Don't even think about lying. If you do, I will knock you unconscious and question your companions."

The pirate, trembling with fear, stuttered, "M-My Lord, please spare me! I won't lie to you, I promise."

Gavin's expression remained stern as he asked, "How many people are there in your camp?"

The pirate shook with fear and replied, "Lord, there are about two thousand people in the camp now."

Gavin frowned slightly and asked, "Are they all pirates?"

The captured pirate quickly replied, "A few hundred are slaves bought by Black Shark 'Erl' specifically for shipbuilding, and another few hundred are the island's natives. The rest are all pirates."

Gavin asked again, "Is Black Shark 'Erl' in the camp?"

The pirate nodded frantically, "Yes, yes, Lord, he's there. He sent us to look for you."

After asking a few more questions, Gavin knocked the pirate unconscious. Then, he proceeded to wake the other two pirates one by one and asked them the same questions.

After interrogating all three pirates, Gavin had a rough understanding of the situation on the island.

This was an unnamed island, with only the reef-filled bay being called Shipbreaker Bay.

Aside from this bay, the rest of the island was made up of cliffs, making it difficult to access. This is why Black Shark "Erl" had chosen this location as his base, using it for the construction and repair of damaged ships.

Black Shark "Erl" commanded over seventy ships, scattered across nearby islands. However, there were only about ten functional pirate ships in the entire Shipbreaker Bay camp; the rest were merchant ships and damaged vessels seized during recent raids.

Black Shark "Erl" planned to repurpose these ships to replenish the losses incurred during recent conflicts with the Dorne people.

There were approximately 1,000 pirates in the camp, along with over 300 slaves bought by Black Shark "Erl" from the Slave Bay, specifically for shipbuilding. Additionally, some of the island's native residents served the pirates.

With a basic understanding of the situation on the island, Gavin decided to enhance the Blood Dragon Guard's strength.

Considering the pirate squad had been missing for some time, Black Shark "Erl" would likely send out a search party, which would take at least a day for the round trip. During this time, Gavin could easily create two more guards.
