[Aryan sits with the shopkeeper after hearing about ways to earn money.]
Aryan: "So, how can I earn money to survive here?"
Shopkeeper: (chuckling loudly) "Earn money here? Look around, boy. There's not much you can do in this sleepy village. As you can see, it's barely alive. But..."
Aryan: (leaning forward) "But what?"
Shopkeeper: "There is a guild in this village, called the Iron Hawk Guild. They post tasks, and you can earn money by completing them. Problem is, there's hardly anyone left applying for tasks. The guild's mostly abandoned."
Aryan: (excited) "A guild! I knew it. Every world like this has a guild system!"
Shopkeeper: (raising an eyebrow) "You're... oddly thrilled about this."
Aryan: "Never mind that. Can you show me where it is?"
Shopkeeper: (grabbing a rolled-up piece of paper) "Here's a map. It's a two-hour walk east of here. Good luck, traveler."
[Aryan takes the map and begins his journey toward the guild. Two hours later, he arrives at a worn-down building with a faded sign that reads "Iron Hawk Guild."]
[Inside the Guild, Aryan sees only two or three people scattered around, their expressions bored. A receptionist sits at a desk, half-asleep.]
Aryan: "Excuse me, I'd like to take on a task to earn some money."
Receptionist: (glancing up) "Do you have a guild card?"
Aryan: "A card? No, I don't."
Receptionist: (sighing) "Figures. You'll need to register first. Here, fill out this form."
[Aryan takes the form and struggles briefly to understand it but manages to fill it out. After some time, the receptionist hands him a small card engraved with his name.]
Receptionist: "Here's your guild card. Don't lose it, or you'll have to pay to replace it. Now, you can check the task board over there."
[Aryan walks to the task board and scans the available missions. Most are basic, but one catches his eye.]
Aryan: (reading aloud) "Capture a goblin. Reward: 30 brown coins. Sounds simple, but..."
[He pauses, thinking.]
Aryan: (to himself) "I can't rush into this. Without knowing how goblins fight or what dangers are out there, I'll get myself killed."
[Aryan takes the task slip and exits the guild, heading back to the shopkeeper's place. Night falls as he arrives.]
[The shopkeeper greets Aryan as he enters.]
Shopkeeper: "Well, you're back. Found the guild, did you?"
Aryan: (nodding) "Yes. I even registered and picked my first task."
Shopkeeper: "Good on you, boy. But let me guess, you've got nowhere to stay tonight?"
Aryan: (sheepishly) "You got me there. Can I stay here for the night?"
Shopkeeper: (laughing) "Sure, why not? But don't think you're freeloading. You'll owe me a favor."
Aryan: (smiling) "Fair enough. Thank you, sir."
[As the night grows darker, Aryan lies on a makeshift bed in the shop, staring at the ceiling.]
Aryan: (to himself) "A guild, goblins, magic... this is just the beginning. I need to tread carefully if I'm going to survive and thrive in this world."
[He closes his eyes, ready for the challenges of the new day.]
