Surya and Mitsuri are heading to the headquarters. All of this started yesterday. When Mitsuri and Surya arrived at Mitsuri's residence, Surya stated that he would propose marriage to Mitsuri, but Matsuri stopped him. This is his first meeting with the Mitsuri parents, so if he unexpectedly proposes marriage, they may be suspicious. Surya had no choice but to heed Matsuri's words.
After arriving at Mitsuri's house, her parents greeted them as if nothing had happened, which surprised Mitsuri. Surya used his hypnotic talents to modify their memories in the night while they were near the Mitsuri house, which is why there was no fuss. After that, Mitsuri introduced him to his parents as a member of the Demon Slayer Corps, rather than a boyfriend.
Surya simply gave them some basic information about demons. Mitsuri's parents were concerned about their daughter. Mitsuri also tried too hard to persuade her parents. Surya had no choice but to use his abilities to influence their thinking. Finally, they consented, and Surya stayed in their home before departing the following day.
********************************
Surya recalled the demon's words while traveling. If Muzan issued a killing order for him, the demons may become more active, as they would receive Muzan's blood as a reward. The demons will most likely go crazy for Muzan's reward.
Surya was not concerned about his own safety, but it could have an impact on the Demon Slayer Corps. That is why he wishes to visit headquarters as soon as possible in order to more fully understand the situation.
Finally, in the evening, he arrived at the headquarters, where Amane Ubuyashiki greeted him. It was already dark, and it was too late to meet Kagaya Ubuyashiki. Surya agreed to see him tomorrow. At night, he learned something about the Demon Slayer Corps. Demon attacks have escalated over the last week, and Demon Slayer has suffered more or less as a result. Almost all Hashiras were dispatched to maintain the situation. Surya and Mitsuri slept soundly while embracing.
Next In the morning after breakfast. Surya went to Ubuyashiki Mansion. There he noticed Kagaya Ubuyashiki, who was already standing in the shadow of the tree.
Kagaya has fair skin and black shoulder-length hair. He smiled calmly. He just appears younger than in the anime. He was looking at the rising sun through the tree shades. Surya approached him slowly and stood alongside him calmly. He also noticed a corpse-like odor emanating from him; perhaps the curse had begun to affect him.
"About one and a half years ago, I had an intuition that I may see Muzan's death."
"To be honest, that astonished me as well, and I'm not sure if the insight was correct."
"But given your growth rate, the insight may be about you," Ubuyashiki said word after word.
"I investigated your background and was shocked by the information that was revealed."
"You just arrived out of nowhere."
"I'm not sure if you're good or bad, but please help us. My children, people, and country have long suffered from the demon Muzan."
With that, Ubuyashiki bowed down. Surya was astonished by the Ubuyashiki's actions. Surya understands what kind of character Ubuyashiki is.
Ubuyashiki has a calm demeanor, showing genuine care for the members of the Demon Slayers, considering them his children. He is also able to handle criticism well and is honest about his weaknesses; one being his inability to become a Demon Slayer despite being their main leader. To make up for this, he remembers every single member of the corps and visits the deceased members at their cemetery daily.
His manner of speaking, while generally fluid and gentle, is extremely tactful. Beneath his kind and gentle personality, Kagaya bore a deep, burning hatred of Muzan Kibutsuji. As the cause for his family's cursed lives, he showed uncharacteristic silent anger towards the Muzan.
"Don't worry; Muzan will pay the price he deserves."
"Thanks."
"Has the curse started damaging your body?"
"Yes."
"Don't you want to face Muzan by yourself?"
Kagaya was moved by his remarks. He understands how much he tried to pick up the sword and battle the demons. Every time a demon slayer died, Kagaya's heart boiled with rage and anger.
"Can....I do...that?" Surya smiled as he took a potion from the system space.
"Drink that and you'll be free of the curse. You may experience some pain.
Kagaya glanced at the potion, and an unknown longing in his body cried out for it. Kagaya took the bottle and drank in one gulp. After consuming the elixir, Kagaya felt like he was in a hot spring and had some fire in his body. Kagaya experienced pain and bore it as well. After a while, Kagaya regained his strength and examined his body. He felt that there was no curse in his body. There were tears in his eyes.
"Thank you...""Our entire Ubuyashiki family is indebted to you."
"It's fine..."Your family has suffered enough."
To be honest, when he saw anime, he was most impressed by the Ubuyashiki family. For generations, they had dedicated themselves to destroying the demons.
Surya also provided curse-removing potions for Kagaya children. Surya agreed to exchange explosives with Ubuyashiki after learning that the Demon Slayer corps suffered from demons. In exchange, he asked Ubuyashiki to construct a house for him. He also handed him some healing medicines.
After leaving Ubuyashiki's house, he proceeded to Butterfly Mansion to visit Kanae and Shinobu. To his surprise, both of them left in the morning. Shinobu Kocho went on a mission to help the demon slayers who had been hurt in the fight, while Kocho Kanae went on a mission.
Surya felt unease about the Kanae journey because she shouldn't have survived this long. Although he couldn't recall when it happened, he did recall that Kanae died when Shinobu was between the ages of 14 and 15. Shinobu was almost 15 years old this year.
When he asked Ubuyashiki about the Kanae mission, he said that she went to investigate the disappearance of persons at a cult temple. After hearing that Surya's face had turned bad, he went to the location where Kanae was.
