Chapter 1 - 1- Transmigrated into a BE novel

"What the hell is this sh*tty novel!"

The woman threw the book on the floor as tears of frustration slid down. She spent the entire night reading a tragic-ending novel. It's been a year since her sister's death. After mourning for a long time, she entered her little sister's room for the first time after her death. The novel was carefully put in the drawer next to the bed. The novel's female lead was way too similar to her little sister. She hated how their pretty appearances brought tragedy upon themselves.

Her little sister was a kind, naive and gorgeous person. She had an angelic smile. At the age of 17, she committed suicide because of bullying at school. The other girls bullied her because they were jealous of her appearance, and the boys harassed her. The woman hated herself for not noticing that her sister was being bullied. If she knew, she would've beaten them and made their life miserable.

When they were young, their family was poor. But their lives improved when the older sister discovered her talent for martial arts. She participated in competitions to earn money. When the other girls were attending high school, she was already working as a bodyguard. It was tough, but she was glad her little sister could live a normal life like the other girls. After a car accident, the woman quit her job as a bodyguard because of her injured leg. In the same year, her younger sister died.

The woman fell asleep on her sister's bed with dried tear stains beside her eyes. Suddenly, a blinding light emitted from the novel, swallowing the entire room.

A big blue screen popped out before her when she opened her eyes. It looked like the system window in those hunter and dungeon manhwas.

Puzzled, she reread the blue screen. What happened? Wasn't she in her sister's room? She scanned her surroundings. Desks were lined up into rows and she was sitting on a desk. A group of girls wearing school uniforms stood in front of her. She was definitely in a classroom. But how did she get here? Did she fall asleep after reading the novel and start dreaming? But something told her that something unbelievable happened. She somehow transmigrated into the novel she just read.

She sighed and looked at the game-like screen blankly. Why would she save the female lead? She wouldn't gain anything from it. The female lead, Grace, did meet a tragic ending, but it had nothing to do with her. In the end, Grace is only a character from a novel.

Yawning, Selena jumped down from the desk. Suddenly, the blue screen disappeared and a headache hit her. A horde of memories that weren't hers intruded her mind. They were from the previous host of the body, the villainess of the novel, Selena Gray. Dizzy, she leaned on the desk and tried to sort out the newly acquired memories. So basically, she transmigrated into the bully that tormented the female lead. The villainess would later also meet a tragic ending because of her bad deeds. She would die in an orchestrated accident that the male lead planned.

After Selena's head cleared up, she approached the group of girls in the classroom, who were supposed to be Selena's friends. Hearing muffled sounds, she peered through the group of teenage girls and saw a pink-haired girl. She was drenched and her beautiful pink hair was a mess.

"How dare you seduce Lucian! Don't you know he already has lady Selena as his fiance?" Selena's supposed friend yelled while pulling her hair.

Selena frowned, how dare they bully someone in front of her? After her sister died from bullying, she became very sensitive about this topic. In the beginning, every time she saw bullying scenes, especially near the schools, she would intervene and beat the sh*t out of the bullies. She was blinded by rage and angry that her sister's bullies didn't get punished because they were filthy rich. During that time, the police station was her second home, she would always end up there after beating up bullies. After that, she was home-arrested by her parents because they were worried about her mental health. She stayed clustered in her bedroom, blaming herself for her sister's death. If only she noticed sooner. Why was she so selfish? She injured her leg, so what? She lost her job as a bodyguard, so what? She would never be able to practice martial arts as she did before, so what? None of these were more important than her little sister.

Miraculously, a year after her sister's death, the bullies got what they deserved. They all went to jail and their rich parents announced bankruptcy. Apparently, they bullied someone who had a bigger background than them. After hearing that, she was finally at peace with herself. That's when she visited her sister's room after a long time and found the novel "His Obsession, Her Fall".

Selena pushed her "friends" away and crouched to get a better view of the pink-haired girl. If her guesses were right, the girl who was bullied was Grace, the female lead of this novel. Only she would have such striking long pink hair. She brushed away Grace's wet and messy hair. Enchanting green eyes stared back at her. Captivated by her beauty, Selena paused her hand movement. Her rosy lips trembled out of fear and her snowy skin accentuated her pitifulness. Selena stared at her with her eyes wide open. The resemblance was uncanny. Except for her hair and eye colour, she looked exactly like her deceased little sister.

Maybe this is the reason why she transmigrated inside this novel. She was given a second chance to save her sister from tragedy. Tears threatened to form in her eyes, but she kept it in. This time, she had to save her sister no matter what, she wouldn't tolerate any mistakes. Keeping a poker face she warned the female lead, "I'll let you go this time, but if I ever catch you near Lucian again, I won't be this forgiving."

Standing up again, she signalled her followers to exit the classroom and added, "In the future, I'll be the one to put her back into her place. Don't touch her without my permission, understand?"

In this unfamiliar world, she had to be cautious. There were a lot of dangerous people in the novel, especially Lucian, the male lead. Just as she exited the classroom, she felt an ominous presence. In the school's hallway, just a few meters from her, she saw Lucian. His red eyes peered through the classroom's window where Grace was still sitting on the floor. Selena felt a chill run down her spine. Lucian had an unnoticeable smirk drawn on his face and his eyes were filled with obsession. That's when Selena remembered a phrase from the novel: "His obsession was the beginning of her fall."
