Chapter 13 - Ghost King !

The Ghost King sneered, his eyes flashing with a deep, blood-red glow, resembling a ravenous beast locking onto its prey.

"Hahahahaha! I never imagined someone would dare to step into my domain. You are seeking death! This street has been abandoned by the Spirit City for over a hundred years, and now it belongs to me! As for you…"

The Ghost King's voice was filled with overwhelming arrogance and madness. His figure suddenly shifted, transforming into a shadow moving so swiftly it was almost impossible to follow.

The black mist on the street twisted and surged with his movement, resembling invisible chains that crushed the air around them, making it hard to breathe.

"Since you've stepped into my territory, don't think you'll leave here alive!"

Before his words had even finished, the Ghost King shot forward like a black flash, hurtling toward Jay and Wilk with blinding speed.

His form nearly materialized in front of them in an instant, as if the entire space had been consumed by him.

A cold glint flashed in Jay's eyes as his spiritual energy exploded at once. He sensed the imminent danger and knew that if he wasn't careful, this terrifying being would tear them apart.

He spread his hands, and Ares' presence surged beside him with a thunderous roar. Powerful spiritual fluctuations radiated outwards, and the air instantly condensed into a suffocating pressure.

"Ares, block him!"

Jay barked as he swiftly retreated. He instinctively felt the Ghost King's immense terror and knew this battle was far from ordinary.

Ares appeared from Jay's spiritual space, his towering, muscular form clad in golden armor, radiating a dazzling light like a divine weapon.

His eyes blazed with unyielding battle intent as he charged directly at the Ghost King.

However, the Ghost King's movement was even faster than Ares'.

He spun abruptly, and his black robe seemed to grow like a massive net, surging through the air toward Ares.

His form nearly merged with the black mist, moving with an unstoppable force, his claws aimed directly at Ares' face.

"Seeking death!"

The Ghost King sneered. His hands instantly transformed into sharp, claw-like appendages, slashing towards Ares' massive sword.

His claws emitted a bone-chilling black aura, carrying corrosive power that seemed capable of dissolving anything in its path.

"Bang!"

The two forces collided with an earth-shattering impact.

The air fractured instantly, and the space around them seemed to distort. A powerful shockwave surged outward, shaking the entire street, causing the walls to crumble and dust to fly everywhere.

The energy released from the collision between Ares and the Ghost King spread rapidly, and the temperature of the air soared. Even Wilk felt the tremendous force, stumbling back several steps to avoid being caught by the shockwave.

"Damn it, this Ghost King's power is beyond imagination!"

Wilk cursed under his breath. He could feel the oppressive atmosphere, as if his heartbeat was in sync with the vibrations of the power around him.

At the same time, Wilk's guardian spirit, Adam, appeared beside him.

Adam exuded an overwhelming aura, his hands tightly gripping a long sword, his gaze like a lightning bolt, locked onto the Ghost King.

"If you want to get to him, you'll have to go through me first!"

Adam's form vanished in an instant, transforming into a streak of white light that shot toward the Ghost King.

His sword gleamed with brilliant radiance, and the sword energy cut through the air with a sharp whistling sound, carrying immense power as it struck directly at the Ghost King.

The Ghost King sneered and slashed his claws, sending a piercing wind howling through the air to intercept Adam's sword energy.

The two forces collided again, and the air seemed to tear apart as sword light and claw strikes tangled together, creating an explosion of sparks.

"Ridiculous!"

The Ghost King laughed loudly, his black aura surging like a flood, pushing Adam's sword energy back and forcing Adam to retreat rapidly.

"You two insects dare to stop me?"

The Ghost King's voice thundered, reverberating through the entire area. His figure began to distort, blending into the surrounding black mist, before suddenly reappearing behind Wilk, his claws aiming directly at Wilk's throat.

"Wilk, watch out!"

Jay's reflexes were swift. Ares immediately spun around, using his sword to block the Ghost King's claws. The massive sword and claws collided with a shrill metallic clang.

"This is such a hassle!"

Jay muttered, though he had already prepared himself, he found the Ghost King's strength far beyond his expectations.

Even with Ares and Adam combined, their power was still insufficient to match him.

The Ghost King clearly had no intention of giving them any respite.

He let out a low growl, and his vast black mist surged once more, as if intending to devour the entire space.

His body swelled, becoming an enormous black shadow, his overwhelming presence intimidating as his claws, filled with murderous intent, lunged directly at Jay and Wilk.

"Quick, block him!"

Jay shouted, as Ares and Adam simultaneously moved to face the Ghost King, preparing for an even fiercer battle.

As the battle continued, Jay, Wilk, Aries, and Adam all showcased their immense power and flawless coordination.

However, in the face of the Ghost King's nearly endless strength and unyielding will to survive, they still found themselves unable to gain the upper hand.

Aries stood at the forefront, his towering figure like a mountain, tightly gripping his massive spear, with fierce battle intent burning in his eyes.

"Fury of Violence!"

He roared, unleashing a thunderous burst of anger that seemed to shake the very air.

The entire space was reverberating with the force of his power.

Aries's spear glowed brilliantly, and with destructive energy, he swung it towards the Ghost King, sending out waves of spiritual energy that nearly crushed the surrounding air.

Then, Aries thrust his spear forward, using [Heaven's Tyrant].

A beam of light from the heavens descended, and the massive force crashed into the Ghost King.

The destructive energy contained in the spiritual power twisted the very space itself, and the force was enough to make any enemy tremble.

Yet, the Ghost King only sneered, his eyes still full of mockery.

At the same time, Adam wasted no time.

His form moved like a lightning bolt, quickly gathering a powerful surge of spiritual energy in his hands.

His fists shone with blinding light.

"Fist of Apocalypse!"

He unleashed an immense force, his fist cutting through the air like a thunderclap, striking with the power to tear everything apart as it slammed into the Ghost King's chest.

Immediately after, Adam swung his sword without hesitation, the sword energy cutting through the air, sharp and powerful, charging towards the Ghost King.

"Blade of Life!"

But the Ghost King remained completely unfazed.

His body twisted, and the black mist swirling around him rapidly absorbed all the attacks. The Ghost King laughed loudly, his gaze filled with disdain, clearly unafraid of the four powerful enemies.

"Ha ha ha ha, your attacks are indeed not bad," the Ghost King's voice was low and indifferent, "but you are too young to challenge me, this existence."

At that moment, Jay wasted no time and extended his hand, instantly summoning powerful lightning energy.

"Thunderflash Curse!"

A dazzling bolt of lightning erupted from his fingertips, like a thousand lightning snakes, striking the Ghost King in an instant.

His lightning was silent but carried a destructive aura, each bolt containing immense energy as they rained down upon the Ghost King's body.

Wilk followed closely, condensing an ethereal spiritual spear in his hands.

The spear glowed with a deep, profound light as spiritual energy surged around it.

"Spirit Spear Thrust!"

Wilk shouted as the spear shot forward like a lightning bolt, striking with sharp power aimed at the Ghost King's vital points, as if it was destined to land, breaking the barriers of space.

However, the Ghost King showed no sign of panic, not even trying to dodge.

The overwhelming oppressive aura, like a dark cloud, enveloped him, as though no matter how fierce the attacks were, he could easily neutralize them.

The black mist quickly swallowed all the attacks.

The moment Jay, Wilk, Aries, and Adam's assaults reached the Ghost King, they were completely devoured.

The Ghost King wore a satisfied, mocking grin.

He moved leisurely, a sinister smile curling at the corner of his mouth.

"Your strength is indeed impressive, and your guardian spirits are even more formidable, but in my presence, you are nothing but ants."

His words were full of ridicule and contempt.

"Your attacks are nothing to me. Do you think you can defeat me with such power?"

With a wave of his hand, the black mist surged like a tidal wave, quickly enveloping the surrounding space, making the street even darker.

The spiritual energy in the air began to distort, and the oppressive feeling grew even stronger.

The Ghost King's body grew even larger, as if he were the only deity in the darkness.

"You are strong, but unfortunately, you have no chance left."

The Ghost King's voice echoed all around, carrying endless threat and pressure.

"I will show you what true absolute power is!"

As his words faded, a far greater force spread out, and the surrounding space seemed to fall into an inescapable bind.

Jay and Wilk felt their spiritual energy nearly suppressed, their movements growing sluggish.

Aries and Adam also felt the same pressure, as though everything was under the Ghost King's control.

At that moment, the Ghost King's smile grew even more savage.

"Your resistance is futile."

Despite this, Jay and Wilk remained calm, still desperately searching for an opening to counterattack.

Jay narrowed his eyes, feeling the Ghost King's power growing stronger, but he did not panic.

Instead, a stronger sense of determination rose from the depths of his heart.

"We will never let him succeed!"

Jay whispered, his gaze firming. The spiritual energy inside him began to surge, ready for the next round of battle.
