The mimic had not expected this show of mercy, the silver chain returned to it, meant that Peter was a good person.
So, as soon as Peter placed his dirty clothes in the hamper, vowing that he was going to wash them later, the mimic knew that it was a call of action!
And so, the mimic washed Peter's clothes, dried them, folded them in the most professional way possible, and then laid them near Peter.
Ready to be worn on the next day.
But that was not the only thing the mimic did during that night, no. The mimic went foraging and came back with enough fruit to feed a gnome army.
Then, out of gratitude, the mimic kept the fire going, so Peter wouldn't catch a cold.
And, as the sun finally rose, the mimic retreated behind a bush and waited.
As Peter woke up, he could smell that there was fruit near him. For in the fantasy world, such things actually had a very strong smell.
