The bunnies might not be able to talk to humans, but they could speak to nature spirits.
They did not want to be squeezed, or picked up and slapped on the behinds, or worse yet, be used by teething babies.
And so, the bunnies escaped their homes and made a circle in the forest. They knew they were going to be recaptured. Knew that their insolence would end with them in a pot.
But the crimes made against them had to be answered!
They chanted, taking breaks to nimble on the grass growing within the summoning circle. They had only one protector. Only one eldritch horror who cared about rabbits.
And as they summoned him, they fell on the floor, showing respect.
"What happened now?" The half-elk, half-man asked. "It is three in the morning! Have you lot no shame?"
One bunny, in a rare display of bravery, got up and hopped towards the Spirit of the Forest.
