Asmodeos had known that there would be trouble, should he stay by Mike's side and listen to his story.
And yet, he had still stayed.

Peter would never do that to him, not that he had any cause to. Not only that, but Peter would never force him to be a housewife.

"Mike?" Asmodeos asked, as he poured more of the whiskey in Mike's glass. "When did the change began?"
Maybe it was underhanded of Asmodeos to use Mike as someone from whom he could learn, but he still did it. Besides, Mike still had a lot to answer for.
"When? I think it was autumn back then," Mike said, his speech slurred. Asmodeos nodded to himself. Soon, he would have to make sure that Mike was somewhere where he could sleep the alcohol off. "Yes, it was raining. So, I made Martha a cup of tea. You know, she gets cold so easily, my Martha."
